Reason 25: forgets how to play instrument for a split second

Reason 25: someone decided they has to play it themselves before they play it with the class and then everyone decides they need to do it too so we wait for like 5-10 minutes for everyone to shut up

25th and 26th reason, 25th: someone was not holding their violin correctly. 26th, going through papers to find that one piece that everyone has on their stands already.
May I add a 27th reason? 27th, someone trying to find a pencil to mark a part on the piece was late
ShortiiBloopii yes it’s very true cuz as a former Orchestra student, as much as I hated those reasons, I gotta admit that it is true
25th reason: the air con is way too strong and blows your music off the stand
or
you spend 10 minutes tuning and then you go to play and your instrument is suddenly out of tune again
Nicola Catalano man, so far all the comments I viewed, everything they say I can totally relate to cuz it is true, and yes it’s very annoying
That happened to me at a concert. I had to retune my G string while everybody was staring at me in a silent auditorium.
25: eating food/lunch because high school says you don’t need lunch every day
Reason 25: when you realize the conductor asked for pickup to the measure, but it's t o o l a t e

reason 25; numbers are so small on conductor's score that he says the wrong one and messes everyone up
The youth orchestra everyone had to attend for at least 6 months before they could join a real one, our conductor was older and didn't care that much. Messed us up SO MUCH either bc he couldn't read the numbers, didn't tell us that he wanted a different piece or said it quietly only to the first row

In my classroom, the 25th reason would be a broken string, because SOMEone thought it was a good idea to walk through the cello section while the instruments were down.

there's only two reasons why a cello breaks in my orchestra: stubborn tuning pegs and ignorant people who don't know how to look down

Mac and Cheese Is Tasty same, and I get called out for hogging the stand, which is why sometimes it always by myself with my own stand cuz people got annoyed that I kept having the stand in front of me and not them. They can’t see the music

25th reason: someone’s bridge snaps off and everyone gets startled because it’s loud af.

I remember my middle school days. I remember also how Violists were called 3rd violins and it still happens in high school even by my conductor. As should be taken, I am a Violist.
I play the viola part, and switch between the viola and violin (I play the violin and struggle to read the notes, but I try) and we are referred to as violas but when the teacher's handing out music we are 3rd violins... It's kind of confusing. There's only two of us, and we both are usually playing the violin

Last year in orchestra, we had so little violists and still do so some violinists had to swap to 3rd violin technically the viola part. I didn’t have to so yeah...
I am 3rd violin because my skill level is meh and the violas are even bader then we are and nedd help.

Reason 25: CELLIST (me) decide to twirl there instruments around, and there hands accidently slips, them the cello breaks. (I didn't break the cello, my standpartner did)

Reason 25: some bassist starts the French Revolution and begins executing violins by breaking off their scrolls.
The 25th reason could be because of eating, I always try to eat because the violins are always playing so I think I have time to eat but then when I am eating the teacher always have to call the wrong time and the teacher wants the cellos to play when I'm not ready and make a mess!! lol 😂😅😧😤😓🎻🎼🎶🎵

AKDKGKDK I'm not in orchestra, I'm in band, but I got moved to the timpani for this one song and there's literally nothing but a drum roll at the beginning so we hardly have any idea when to start- I should mention that I was on snare before I moved.

Munchkin yeah I hate that. It happened to me so many times that I even lost count. Which is why I check the stands now to see which ones are in perfect condition and then take it
Reason 25: Distracted by that one kid twirling their double bass because it looks cool

25th reason: student remembers that she forgot to turn in her math homework last period and urgently needs to return to math class to submit her homework "on time."

I'm in band but these all are things that happen there too. But one more thing, we have percussionists who...just...wander.... no reason...just...wander...

@@Liletter You never know unless you try? It's worth it, really. I've made a lot of friends with the people in my orchestra class despite there being both freshmen and senors - it's like your own little community and the music is something everyone bonds over

#25: a bass player dropped their chapstick in their instrument
Nia Cruz our conductor had to lift up the bass so that the f holes were facing down and shook it until the chapstick fell out.
So I play viola. I was wondering if you could do a video on only problems viola players will understand.

reason 25: people can't count to four. or one. or two. or three. or any number, for that matter.
reason 26: also forgets how to read music
Reason 25 - Someone just has to rosin for 5 min and didn't tighten their bow
25th reason: when the conductor gives you a measure but there are no measure numbers so you have to count and they give you no time.
My 25th reason would be me sneezing bc too much rosin on bow
And then that awkward moment when your get confronted by the director.

I was playing a concert at BLAIR at VANDERBILT. I think i was like, 12 so this was a huge deal. Lucky me, my violin gave out and E string snapped and hit me right in the face. I had a red mark for days.

When you open your case and your violin has spontaneously combusted bc it was a cheap VSO.
2:30 viola section never had melody, usually just measures of rest, quarter note followed by a quarter rest for lines at a time, or background 🎵🎵🎵🎵 of the same note for a few measures and 3% melody.
