If you get a concussion from hitting your head on the pegs, then you're doing it wrong. There are times where I will even KEEP my head ON the pegs so I can hear myself better. There was one time where I was in a pit orchestra with 2 trumpets and 4 trombones sitting directly behind me--needless to say, my head was ALWAYS on the pegs.

I feel like a violin/viola problem would be the marks you get on your neck, my orchestra teacher had one and when I first met her, I thought it was a hickey😂💀
The other day, I was playing in rehearsal with my hair down, and my hair got really suck in a peg. A guy in front of me turned around and saw me attempting to rip my hair our of the peg without making a ruckus. He was mortified. And it was painful.

There was one scene where the girl had to take the stairs carrying the cello and she was complaining and a woman right next to her had a double bass and the bass girl looked at her and said "Don't even!"
Hey awesome video! I'm wondering how do you actually play the cello with skirts and dresses? I'm not allowed to wear pants and I'd like to play. Thanks again!!!
Me during every concert: WHYYYYY CANT MY ROCKSTOP JUST DO ITS JOB????? HOW DO YOU SIT IN A DRESS??? NO, IT'S NOT A BASS!!! (When Someone tells me they like Canon, I play the first part, then they say, no!!!!! PLAY THE HALF NOTES!!!!!!!)
I play the violin, and for some reason people think that it's another instrument. The violin is such a popular instrument, yet, IT GOT MISTAKEN AS A GUITAR. ARE YOU KIDDING ME. HOW IS THIS TINY VIOLIN A GUITAR!? Yeah... i feel bad for the cellist that has to deal with this problem more than i have...

But now it takes 3 trips from car to rehearsal to bring in: cello (Trip 1), chair (Trip 2), music stand, tote bag w/music, rock stop, and all the other stuff (Trip 3). On a good day, I can do it in 2 trips. On a really good day, a non-cellist helps me carry something.
I was typing out a page on my pc about how I started playing the cello and someone next to me said “you play the see-ello?” Legit just gave them some deadass look.
This just cracked me up. As an aspiring violinist, I can totally relate. You have to admit, “stringers” are in a special class all by ourselves. 😱😤🤔🎻🎶🎵
At our orchestra concert, one of our cello player's bridges broke right at the end of one of our pieces and the teacher yelled to everyone in the audience "Anyone have an extra cello?"
All of this stuff is super accurate! And yes, I have had people pass by in the hallway, look at my cello and say, "Wow! That's a big Violin!" ***I really hope those people are joking, though I have a strong feeling they aren't***
I play the bass clarinet, and I can understand knocking things around with your instrument (seeing as I’ll generally have a case for my bass clarinet and one for my Bb and A clarinets).
"Oh you play that big violin right?"
No-
Yes. Yes I do.
don't mind me pls sempre ( always) 😬😬

I'm a mom making a difference exactly 🤦🏾♀️

Elise Pham well when you are a cello (I am a cello player) these are all so true.
Hahahaha that's exactly what I did while watching the video
Elise Pham I would learn it but one my mom would never get me one due to its size, and its probably louder than my saxophone.
Lyndsey The Violinist they are really beautiful to play.. I have done many beautiful solos and it is just an amazing instrument
Lyndsey The Violinist cellos are only loud if you choose to make them loud

As a bassist, I can relate to that bassist at the bottom of the stairs being like really you think you have problems?
I can't move my endpin from the way it is positioned Every time I go up, I have a risk of breaking the bridge and fines tuners
Honestly i feel bad for the base more than the cello even though i'm a cellist

Cello and the stairs! Such a classic and so very real. That's why on camps a hollidays, I recommend taking the baby cello (violin) if you can play.
All the cellists complain about going up stairs or just carrying around their instruments saying "it's so heavy" and then I ask them to stop complaining because I play bass, which is harder to carry around and I don't complain

i used to play bass but switched to cello and carrying around a bass made me actually want to cry
This is very cute and very accurate. 😂

My vivid Highschool life has just been brought out of the depths of my mind. WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS?
3:56 I play the upright bass and literaly this is an exact representation of me....
Omg when the doublebass appeared on the stairs i lost it.
the hair getting tangled is sooooo true haha
this was soooo funny, it really describes my daily problems..once my cello was mistaken as a contrabass twice during the same day 😅
This is so accurate! Cello repair is one of the common problems cellists come to my store with and we talk a lot about these issues.
The fact that Pachelbel’s canon was listed as a problem really says a lot
This is the most accurate thing I have ever watched.
What is the song they played on 3:06 ?
it's a little rendition of elgars cello concerto :)
