    Glad you got to see you got to Dunedin, the Moeraki Boulders, and to Bluff. Would have liked to see you try Baldwin Street in Dunedin on the Scram - the incline is 19° or 35%. The Moeraki Boulders are pretty in good light. There are waterfalls in the Catlins area not far from there. Also, +1 for Cathedral Caves - just don't risk it on a rising tide with a storm surge. The chain sculpture at Bluff connects thematically to another on Stewart Island / Rakiura - shame you didn't get there, the place needs more publicity.

      Yes I was definitely there at the wrong time of day for the best light. I am definitely missing so many good spotted to check out, oh well it looks like I'll just have to come again,. I say signs to the Cathedral Caves, another spot to get on the next ride around the island .

    Roads near ocean are incredible. I don’t know how difficult it is to ride on these snakes winding along the water, but all these elevation changes and turns look very attractive.
    Also some trees near roads looks huge when you ride near them! May be just optical illusion because of POV, but i think they are 40-50 meters.

    • @freewayproject
      @freewayproject  17 วันที่ผ่านมา

      yes they are fun roads to ride. There are some big trees out there definitely. In the Australia series on the channel I find some massive trees in 3 different episodes, some at 60m, some at 70m and some are 90m tall. I am a fan of a big tree haha.

    Joe, the little Cubby House accommodation reminds me of the Queensland outback dongers when I was there. But yours may have been smaller. 🤣 That was cool getting to ride on the beaches. yes it was pretty small but did the job, I bet your donger did't have flying sources painted on the outside 🤣🤣🤣. Yes the beach was cool, I tried to be respectful and not rip up the beach.

When I can save up and afford some new boots I will, but I never want lack of gear to stop me exploring, wet feet is a small price to pay for this epic adventure.

    Another great episode Joe. Sorry I’m late commenting. I did watch this episode several times on the TV, looks so good in 55” HD/4K, but I’m not logged into my account on that device. Congratulations on another 1000+ subs since last week, it’s picking up at some pace! I just wanted to ask about how you edit your videos and what software you use? I used to use Windows Moviemaker (because it was free and already on the computer), but recently got a MacBook and trying to decide on what to use. Also, what file type do you save your videos in? I do have a YT channel but I haven’t done anything for quite a while and I’d like to start filming and vlogging again. Cheers buddy, all the best, Richard in UK!

      Thanks mate, glad you are enjoying this series.
      I have always been on Mac so I use Final Cut Pro (FCP), the two other main ones used are davinci resolve and adobe premiere pro.
      I think there is a few copy of Davinci it doesn't have all the features but for this kind of stuff would be fine. I have head it is good.
      adobe premiere pro is expensive and well over bloated with feature that you'll probably never use and it runs a lot slower than the other 2.
      Final Cut Pro runs the fastest the bonus of the hardware and software being created by the same company. they probably still have iMovie which is a basic version of Final Cut Pro it might come free (I am not sure).
      I have edit feature documentaries with FCP it has everything you'll ever need. They User interface is a lot more intuitive than some of the others.
      But basically pick one and learn it (youtube will help) they all do the same job.
      Once the video is edited I used Compressor (apple) to explore the file, It has a setting called TH-cam 4K which explores the file as a .mov
      I hope that helps.
