I think these are only good to check your torque wrenches for calibration, it's really hard to get the torque right without a click. You'll most likely go over the 3-4% tolerance.

I always go +- 2% and the accuracy is 2% so overall the same as a click wrench

I just set mine 2lbs low and watch or check for when I hit exact torque, you can feel it out pretty easily and it's more reliable than click torque. New ones will read slightly low in midrange so for the first handful of uses just stop 1lb low. Never needs calibration, super portable, very accurate. Only complaint is the beeping system, it does work if you're extremely careful but there should be another set of beeps for under/over 5%.

There are "+" and "-" buttons to set the torque. It remembers the last setting only.

It takes a little getting used to if you have used a click-torque wrench. I changed because I find the click-torque wrench hard to read the numbers and I always back off the tension in between uses. This is easy to read and set. I compared with my click-torque wrench and it seemed close. Keep in mind that even after the "click" I found it tightened just a little more if my "let-off" reaction isn't perfect. Also, I'm mostly torquing lug nuts and not building engines. Hope this helps.
