I'm sure he's a good guy, and is passionate, but I'm only judging him on stage presence. It's like their former drummer, he was good and had good musical ideas, but he looked like he was hitting the drums like a wimp. It just seems like their presence does meet the expectations of the music's energy, with the exception of the guitarists--he's awesome.
yeah he's amazing. I just saw BTM the other day and I have to say that they really need to rethink their live mix, I couldn't even hear the songs at all, it was just kick drum and vocals. Couldn't hear bass or guitar AT ALL. was pretty dissapointing, their guitar is like the coolest element

I dont know why their drummers sound so lady live , totally diferent from studio , they need a really baddass drummer like Kevin Paradis , John Longhstreth or other .
It's called triggers, and it is one of the biggest reasons metal drummers are never considered to be top tier musicians. They are fast and can have good timing, but this is what it sounds like for a lot of them. He's barely touching the snare drum. I understand the speed he's playing at, but for the hype behind this guy I am officially underwhelmed.
