I have one of those for other purposes but good to know it is capable of doing this.

I have a badlands 5500 and it pulled a chevy suburban on my trailer just fine. You may need longer ramps or something to help with your pulling angle.

Also my ramps are like yours but they are designed upside down so there are no valleys for tires to fall in

should have used a snatch block and doubled the cable back to the head of the trailer. Would have effectively doubled the pulling power.

Always use a block to dubble the pull, it's just so easy on everything.

Standing next to the cable during operation is very dangerous.

This is a low tension thing, very low danger. If it was a more powerful winch and an extremely heavy vehicle that was impossibly stuck, then yes it would be dangerous to be near the cable.

@@aDIYCarGuy Looks like plenty of tension to cause injury with that kind of weight! But only saying that so people will be careful.

Just an FYI. You should definitely give it a break more often when straining so hard. It's terrible for longevity

thats why most come with a remote bad place to stand

    • @aDIYCarGuy

the little winch could never put enough tension on the line to snap it, in other cases with more power yea bad spot to stand

It really is! It's pulled many other heavy things onto the trailer, and off using a snatch block
