    If you’ve watched djokovic for a long time, you know a comeback after two sets down like this is nothing to him. In the past he faced match points and even championship points against roger, yet he managed to snatch the win at the end. His mental strength is out of this world, built up by years of playing with crowds against him. He’s especially got more hate these days becuz he’s threatening the GOAT title and sooner rather than later, he will get it.

So be careful with setting him as the Goat as he isnt yet because facts speak more then fanbase. Only because you are maybe his fan doesnt make him based on facts to the GOAT. Besides even if he would manage this all and will be one day the GOAT who cares he will be never as loved and respected as roger and nadal as they are just more mature, more on the ground and more sympathic as they behave better on court as also offcourt. Novak is such a malicious manipulator. We all saw him acting all deflated and tired in the first two sets, hitting out all the easy points on purpose, making everyone believe he has not yet recovered from his intense match with Nadal in the semis.
      And suddenly out of nowhere, he is not looking tired anymore in the third set, moving swiftly as if the match has just started, brings out his A-game all of a sudden (which he always had all along btw) and makes his opponent run and struggle so much for every point in the third,
      that it takes the opponent by surprise.
      Its almost like he is playing with another person altogether.
      Before the opponent can figure out Novak's suddenly upgraded level, he is already down two sets and too deflated to even think of a comeback.
      The opponent ends up getting crushed
      both physically and mentally.
      He uses this technique against the Next Gen, because he knows they do not have the experience to overcome such a level of mental betrayal. He wouldn't dare try such a thing with experienced heavyweights like Fed and Nadal, as they are in the same league as him in terms of skill.
      Having said this, Novak will no doubt be eventually on the top for his statistical numbers and skill , but today many tennis viewers have finally understood why he is probably one of the most unpopular legends among tennis fans.
      What he is doing is not good for tennis in general, this is not how a tennis senior encourages the younger generation to take the game forward gracefully and maturely.
      These dirty manipulative tricks are not at all ethical in the long run, and if followed by him and the NextGens moving forward, everyone will become bored of such anti-climatic matches won with a similar strategy and tennis won't be interesting anymore as it has always been.
      Congrats to Novak, but this has to be one of the most dissapointing and unfortunate finals in the history of the sport.

    To people saying Nole is always pretending to be tired: why would he need to “fake” fatigue if he could have finished the match early? your assumption is completely baseless. It was just that Novak tends to have a slow start. Clay is not his strength, not to mention his clay season this year is way shorter. Therefore, it takes time for him to get the feel with the ball. I think he mentioned that in his press conference after the semifinal with Nadal. I would think he was down 2 sets simply because Tsitsipas is so strong on clay (He won Monte Carlo and a few tournaments prior to RG). It takes Nole 2 sets to analyze Stefano’s strengths and weaknesses, experiment with different strategies, and come back stronger with a more strategic playing style. As you can see, in the first two sets, his dropshots were terrible. But he turned them into one of his killer moves in the next 3 sets. I think it wasn’t pure luck. His tennis mind is phenomenal besides his strong mentality and physical endurance.

Djoker probably will do it, but people are saying he's already done it. he still has a ways to go especially since rafa will win at least another RG, meaning djoker needs 22. @@BOZ_11 Greatness shouldn't just be marked by who has the most titles. Nadal and Federer have only won 1 RG and 1 AO respectively, where Novak has at least 2 of all slams. Novak has the best head to head record against the other 2.
      Also, look at when each player won their slams, Federer had won 13 of his 20 before Djokovich had won his first. Nadal had won 3 before Djokovich won his first. So from that time, we would say that Federer has won 7 while playing alongside the others and Nadal 17....While Djokovich won 19 in that time.
      For all of these reasons, Djokovich has to considered the G.O.A.T it's not like he's 10 Grand Slams behind, he is only 1 behind and is a much more well rounded player than the other 2.

    • @BOZ_11
      @BOZ_11 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@SilentHotdog28 but djoker is not the most rounded, because he couldn't serve/volleye to save his life. Federer beats everybody from the baseline (everybody except djoker) but he's also the best serve/volleyer alive. djoker and rafa have both benefited from the worldwide slowing down of all courts. it used to mean something to have a career slam but it's lost its value somewhat because the discrepancy between surfaces have been closed tangibly. Case in point, rafa is the world's greatest clay court specialist, with TWO wimbledon titles. Rafa would never have appeared in any wimbledon finals had his career started 15 years earlier. so yes, we should count more than titles, and in my view, federer is already the best ever, even if djoker gets to 30 majors in this weak era

Secondly djoko has in total 84 atp titles ... roger tho has 103... so will see if djoko manages such a unreal number. 3 years ago, Federer was unquestionably the GOAT in many people’s eyes. Sure you had the hardcore fans of Nadal and Djokovic making their argument, but the majority of people in 2018 after Fed won his 20th major in Australia saw him as the resounding greatest male tennis player of all time. Fast forward 3 years later and now the GOAT debate is at an all-time high between the Big 3. It is the most thought-provoking question in our sport right now and I absolutely love it. 3 men in their mid-thirties and older have been battling each other every day of every year for nearly the last twenty years, people! 3 champions who have red-lined their game to deny multiple upcoming generations a chance to glory because they are simply better than everyone else and refuse to let go of their thrones! So who is the GOAT now? Each one has their own insane record that I think can never be touched again. You can make a great argument for Fed, Rafa and Nole at this point and in a way, you’d be right. It’s like interpreting a great novel - everyone has their own unique perspective on what the author wrote and you will never truly know the “right” answer as it is subjective in nature. However, perhaps we as fans will only ever truly know who the GOAT in men’s tennis is when the Big 3’s careers are over. All I know is that in the end, tennis wins. We, as fans, are winning. These 3 men have brought more to this sport than any other player before it. We are all insanely lucky to be witnessing this Era. I absolutely love this sport!!

      Objectively you'd say it's between Nadal and Djokovic. Putting emotions aside, Fed won half of his major honours against average players and was lucky he did so before Nadal and Djokovic truly entered the scene.

      Sorry's, it's all but over. And the GOAT is the Djoker. He's already got Fed beat in head-to-head, weeks No. 1, career winning %, masters won, and the fact he's now won all majors and masters at least twice. And by the end of the year, he'll be ahead in years No. 1, and at least tied in majors. Nadal falls short in weeks No. 1, head-to-head, yeas ending No. 1, and has zero ATP championships (the so-called 5th major) compared to Djoker's 5. Moreover, Fed is now too old to overtake him, and Rafa's only hope was to beat him on clay, which he didn't.

      @Schnittwin 3 ปีที่แล้ว +23

      @@GatsuKS Well if ur saying Fed only won while the other two were too young, you could now say they stepped in once he got too old. So the age - thing is a difficult one. If he was 5 years younger now, he might not have won as many slams in the early 2000's, but probably would have had more chances against Rafa and Nole. Probably would not have lost all 3 Wimby Finals against Nole and not 4 French vs Rafa

I kinda feel for these guys, BUT, I remember watching Nadal when he was a teenager in Miami and he went to five against Federer in the finals. That was 15+ years ago. These young dudes, I've only seen the past few years. I remember seeing Djokovic before his first grand slam win in the Aussie Open, playing in a hard court summer tournament and one of the announcers was saying how he would NEVER be up there with Federer or Nadal.
