He gets that mental strength from Bosnian pyramids located in a small town called "Visoko". Not to many people know about this place cause mainstream media doesn't want to advertise and promote it, even here in Bosnia our biggest media make fun and ridicule this place and the guy who found it, but when Djokovic comes here, all these pathetic journalists who previously mocked Bosnian pyramids arrive to this place to interview Novak. Don't trust media, everyone who is interested in Bosnian pyramids should first come and see it, and then come to a conclusion.

Speaking as an RF fan, I have to say: huge respect for the unyielding mental strength, the relentless defense, and the depth and intelligence of the shotmaking that Djokovic showed today. Going toe to toe with Rafa at RG and coming away with the win -- especially that third set -- you have to tip your hat to the man. I don't envy Stefanos this weekend. And who's thinking that Djokovic might very well walk away with a true Grand Slam this year, and the all-time Slam record? I'll never understand why so many Nole posts have so much anger, and so much insecurity running through them. I think we're lucky to live in an era with three of the greatest players to pick up tennis rackets have gone up against each other and shown us just how amazing tennis can be, and how amazing a sport it is that it has room for three such divergent ways to win. My heart is always going to belong to the all-court artistry and outrageous shot-making nous that Fed brings to the table, but let me the 1550th person to salute Novak today on this thread, and say that I will definitely be taking time off work to see him show off his wondrous talents on Sunday.

Styles make fights they say in boxing. Rafa is washed up at this point. No stamina either. Tsitsipas will return better, will hit deeper and more powerful forehands and backhands, won't be as tired as Nadal and most importantly he will serve MUCH BETTER than Nadal did today. Whoever thinks that Djokovic wins easily on Sunday, he/she is in for a shocker! Both Sverev and Tsitsipas would have beaten today's Nadal. Don't get too excited Nole's fans.

I can't believe its 2021 and there is still a debate if Djokovic is the best tennis player. He's passed every feat and displays excellence time and time again. This match, if it hasn't already been said, is the turning point of his career. He is so close to the top 2 legends and he is that close to beating them both in not only GS titles, but in every stat you can think of. It's a shame people don't give Djoker the credit he deserves because he clearly works hard to be here and win these matches. If anything, its his mentality that is above all players. The crowd is always against him, but he doesn't care. He fights and overcomes. That is greatness.

They're pretty well matched. Nadal a bit more powerful and a bit more topspin, Djokovic a bit quicker round the court and a better serve. Nadal's sort of slimmed down lost a bit of muscle mass to be more like Nole as his career's gone on. There's really nothing between them. their career head to head i believe is a tie. (Just checked Novak's 30-28 now.) Their games come down to small tactical adjustments and who executes better on the day. Whereas Nadal has a way to attack Federer's single-handed backhand because he's a lefty, and also can outwork Federer.

It reflects Nadal's extremely physical game, which demands so much stamina but age is coming. I think Novak will still be playing in his prime at 37/38, while Rafa may not be able to do it. What a day in tennis history. Two Semis: Next-Gen semi and this semi.
I watched both semifinals back to back. The first semi, Zverev-Tsitsipas: ok, good tennis, sometimes great tennis, close match, entertaining at times. But I was annoyed by the inconsistency. Inconsistency in playing, shotmaking, spirit, mental strength. For me, it doesen't felt like an epic 5-setter. They tried their best and the one player who got his shit more often together won.
The second semi was completely another level, a much higher level, of tennis and sport as a whole. This was an epic battle, this was a fight of champions and true masters of their craft.
I think, over the last decade and more, we witnessed a singularity in tennis and sport, at least a century-rarity: three GOATS in one era.
The Next-Gen is just that: the next gen. They will not and they are not able to overtake. Only time and age will do that.

We will never get to see a match between the big 3 and the next-gen, with all at their peak. So any comparison is just speculation and admiration for these legends. Do you believe that a 27 year old Novak and a 27 year old Tsitsipas wouldn't be a tough competition? Yeah, we cannot tell. One is still 22.
Another thing is that the way Novak and Rafa are playing, they produce spectacular tennis. If Novak played say Isner, will the qualty be that high? I don't think so. Small rallies etc. Would that make the level of Novak any less?
