    Another helpful tip is to gently file or rough up the nail covering on the side that goes onto the nail just as you do your natural nail. Helps with that staying power and to not lift.

    I just stumbled onto your tutorial and I have 2 questions. Can you remove the nails if your using them as a substitute to dual forms? Can you do a tutorial of your removal with the covers? I found on Amazon both short and medium length nails. You are right they are the perfect no fuss size but I do not want to keep the covers on. Also if I keep the covers on, how can I remover them? What solutions do you use to remove them with? Sorry if I added questions but I really want to know before purchasing. Thank you

      I think she removed the covers because she mentions the top of the poly gel having a sticky or tacky layer.

      Hey girl! Thank you 😊 I keep the full nail covers on! Since they are soft gel covers they mesh with the polygel and do not come off unlike dual forms which are plastic!

    Wait, so did you use the poly gel almost like your “glue” underneath the nail to hold it to your natural nail, or did you use the fake nail to form the gel and then remove it after curing? I’ve never got poly gel before, costs too much in the salon but regular gel nails are making my natural nails weak, so I’m looking to try something new

    • @pearlspetals5542
      @pearlspetals5542 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah I don’t understand this method either. The whole point of polygel is to have natural enhanced nails. The nail covers should just be the form..🤔

    • @lorihartman6232
      @lorihartman6232 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Came here to ask this same question. Do you use the cover as a form or did it stay on after curing the polygel?

    • @elspethsilverstar6136
      @elspethsilverstar6136 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I think she uses the poly gel as the adhesive and color and the nail cover stays on for strength. The nail cover is also clear, so the color comes through.

    • @jaeesmichelle
      @jaeesmichelle 3 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      it's used as a form to shape the gel and hold it while it's curing under the light. after 30 seconds, you pop off the nail form and you're left with the gel, which she said leaves a sticky residue you clean off, then you file the nails to the shape you want.
      after that, you can choose to treat it like a natural nail and put colored polish on, she chose to leave them bare because she likes the color of the gel she has.
      the nail form comes off.
