My wife and I have been following you on here for awhile, and we grew up just a few miles from that spillway. I spent literally hundreds of hours doing catch and release there, a little downstream and also fishing the lake above. We were so excited to see you in our neck of the woods!

But if you google map children’s lake in boiling springs it’s on the one side of the lake where it runs into the yellow breeches creek! It’s about a 3 hour drive from where I’m at in NJ! If you go on a weekend the creek will be crowded though a lot of people fish that area!
You were in boiling springs fishing the catch n release called the run. If you noticed the big creek behind there its the yellow breeches, all of these fish were stocked back in September 24 by the yellow breeches anglers. We stock again December 19th. Sign up and be a member you'll love it.

the prelude to spawing, i love this time of year the colours the trout turn when they are beginning to "greed" is insane, its interesting the fish in your stream are spawing at the same time as the trout in my stream in northern ireland!! great video man 👍👍👍

There is a really good place where monsters are if you would have went down stream a little further. I've fished here almost every year growing up and still do from time to time

Now *that* is a troutman's dream spot, right there. Almost doesn't seem to be fair, throwing lures in that spillway. How can you miss? It would be a fish every 5 minutes, or better. Great underwater footage too.

Very interesting. At 7:28 you can see an underwater shot showing all the empty freshwater snail houses (edit: and also a crayfish, lol). Everywhere I find them here in Norway there are always big trouts around. Amazing to see such a healthy tribe of trouts :)
Stacked like rush hour traffic! Loved seeing them darting back and forth chasing what ever tasty morsels caught their eye! Reminds me of a place I go for trout when I want some for the table. That place is a hatchery that has quite a bit of fishing water, so you can catch as much as you want, all year round. Is pay to play, tho.
They heavily stock the lake above, and many wash down the spillway. Some are hooked above and swim down the spillway and break people off. The creek below is also full of native and stocked trout. It's an amazing place!
well it makes sense, high flow current, highly oxygenated water, probably a good food source around, so that makes for high production and a good habitat. amazing place to fish i bet.
Been trying to record soem shad fishing to share but havent had any luck recently. Will still make attempts through the week and hopefully will have oen on the ready and will share on the last video you will upload fish hawk.
Dear Fishhawk and Community. I LOVE using small, inline spinners for most of my freshwater fishing outings. However, I know that it is largely the "flash" of the rotating blades that draws the hits. I am frustrated that I spend lots of money on these types of lures, only to see the blades tarnish, chip, and fade after only several uses! So, I have two questions: 1) Which brand lasts and performs the longest? That is, without any maintainence? Panther-Martin? Roostertails? Mepps? 2) What in fact is the best way to restore tarnished or dull blades? I have read about toothpaste, white vinegar.....??? One final issue I have is with lures blades that won't spin unless you're ripping the lure through the water! I'd appreciate any comments or advice. Thanks

I thought they were spawning, thats why they are so dark and brightly coloured. Not good to be stressing them even more than they already are.
These trout are stocked for recreational fishing. They are not naturally occurring in the area. They are not spawning.

Man what a good spot! Some of those trout were weird looking too. The stream substrate reminded me of an aquarium. Lol.

yes they are surprisingly very skittish. Not easy to catch.
In my area in va there are some places that have that many trout In a hole they are delayed harvest waters
it's so crazy. this was catch and release, artificial lures only.
