I have boombox 2 for about 9 months now. After watching all the comparisons decided to buy Hyperboom. 30 minutes of indoor tests was enough to understand - in sound quality department the boombox 2 is way ahead hyperboom. BB2 shakes the floor in my room with the deep bass + clear mids and highs, whereas HB sounds like a plastic box with a lot of mid bass. You can’t fix this even with an EQ. I also tested frequency response from 30 to 60 Herz - BB2 is a clear winner. The bass on 45 herz is much louder and more pronounced on BB2. So if the main purpose of the speaker is indoor usage, with the volume not exceeding 80%, I strongly recommend BB2. I didn’t test the HB outdoor or with 100% volume, this is not the way I usually use my speakers. Hyperboom goes back to the seller.
I would definitly argue this between the Hyperboom and Boombox 2. Ive been having both of this speakers for about a year already and the upper bass of the hyperboom is better, but the lower deep bass definitely lacks, and while the boombox 2 upper bass is decent the lower bass is present and better than the hyperboom. In my opinion the Jbl boombox sounds way better because it can reach deeper bass at about 35 hz while the hyperboom reaches about 45 hz so for Rap, EDM, and all type of low bass music i would recommend the Jbl Boombox 2 instead of the Hyperboom the bass of the boombox 2 hits way better than the hyperboom, both are good speakers but in my opinion the boombox 2 sounds way better. Is like a whole concert.
I’ve been building up the jbl party boost family. My speaker needs does not involve outdoor parties but rather indoor set ups. Stand alone I’d probably get the hyper boom. But with multiple speakers surround my living space I think jbl is the way to go. There’s a lot of consensus that placing the hyperboom by a wall or corner amplifies the bass, but I found out that that also works with the jbl speaker family, even with the flip 5. The hyper boom is also known for being louder, however, my indoor set ups (having linked 7-8 speakers together and the reverberation of the walls and tight spaces) means my volume will probably not exceed 50%. This also means I don’t need to worry about distortion or the higher range becoming painful while the lower range is maxed out. The boombox 2 is my choice in this regard. However, not everyone will save up the money in building a family of speakers as I have. As always, it depends on your needs.
Bula from fiji, just bought my jbl boombox 2. I take my bb2 any where I wanna go. It's safe, waterproof, and I'm not afraid of carrying it around. I take it fishing, to the gym, hiking, farming and house partying, I tell you it's worth it. I think I won't be able to move around and have fun with a hyperboom. Hyperboom is for those who spend most of their time indoors. Respect to hyperboom. Both sounds great

True but you can turn the bass up using the built in equilizer (pardon if i didnt spell that right) .
@@edwardireson6901 exactly. Sounds like bullshit
@@yatahey699 true but you don't get a performance boost while plugged in meaning the BB2 will get noticeably louder with little more bass
Hyperboom is the best overall. JBL Boombox 2 is great and if you prefer to listen to hip hop it's better. I have both of these speakers.
Partybox100 best bass
Bula from fiji, just bought my jbl boombox 2. I take my bb2 any where I wanna go. It's safe, waterproof, and I'm not afraid of carrying it around. I take it fishing, to the gym, hiking, farming and house partying, I tell you it's worth it. I think I won't be able to move around and have fun with a hyperboom. Hyperboom is for those who spend most of their time indoors. Respect to hyperboom. Both sounds great
Bula vinaka
I got 2 hyperboom and a megaboom 3 linked up in my room, omg the sound is amazing, the bass and mids from the 2 hyperboom are insane and the megaboom 3 provides nice crisp mids and highs, perfect combination IMO
Honest question. Why spend a G on 3 bluetooth speakers instead of getting actual hifi gear?

All these videos about boombox 2 has no sense anymore, there is new update, and now this speaker is next level.
Considering buying a Boombox 2 at the moment, what did the update do?
This video makes no sense. Xg 500 dont have mega bass on because the Red Light is Off.
i have the boombox 2 and the bass is crazy in my house so i’m always blown away when he says the bass is alright or lacking🥲
he doesn't understand deep resonating bass. he thinks that chest thumping bass (upper bass) is good. upper bass is easy to get in a bt speaker these days. deep bass like 40hz and below is not as easy but the boombox 2 does it far far better then the other two. i used to have a hyperboom but sold it because its 4 and a half inch drivers could not play below 55hz. while my boombox 2 with 4 inch drivers could go below 40hz. sure at max volume the hyperbooms bass has more impact but its just not deep which disappoints me.

Look to the mega bass button.. no Red light this means no mega bass on. Think about it
Can you do a review on the ANKER SOUNDCORE RAVE and also a comparison to these?
It's a more budget friendly option and pretty good although bigger and heavier.

I would recommend you to record your audio outdoor also. Because indoor no one listen at max volumes..
And I would love to here outdoors at max volume.

I have used my hyperboom for a while now and it’s been great, even took it on the plane and no problems, always used Spotify but lately I subscribed to Apple Music to try Dolby and lossless. I don’t know why but my hyperboom sounds better with Apple Music. Can you make a video of this? Haha
Try tidal hifi trial and compare, tidal hifi should give u the best quality, compare side by side with apple music and write something here(i got a bbx 2 )

The Ironic thing is that, I am listening to this through a pair of old Panasonic Bookshelf speakers! Although the receiver from Sony, its still ironic in my books!

I feel bad for who bought the Sony speaker. I mean the JBL and the Hyper boom just sound so much better and I think the Sony shouldn't even be in the discussion, its a rip off for its performance. Sony just can't seem to compete with JBL or UE at all. But great video!

completely wrong the custom eq from sony is useless still need some hotfix because it can't really change the sound. You should use a different equalizer and it will immediately sound a lot more present. More highs, more bass. unbeatable
Something about carrying around a box like the hyper boom doesn’t cut it for me... hyperboom just looks like a coffee table speaker. Jbl takes this one.
