The musicianship of the band and Tati's vocal mastery is stunning every time I hear them. I've been a fan since I first heard them in 2017 and attended their concert in San Diego in 2019. They do not produce anything bad, just varying degrees of awesome! Vlad is the only member that has been classicly trained, and that was in piano, the others are pretty much "self-taught." Tati received some singing lessons when she was 8 or 9 years old but taught herself how to growl and has just been singing for a very long time to refine her talents/skills. To have such a tecnically skilled band a a frontwoman with the personality, stage presence, and vocal talent/range come together is a pure joy to experience.

Welcome to Jinjer. Tatiana is one of the best frontwomen in the business and the band's musicianship is second to none. Jinjer has a deep rabbit hole and is well worth an exploration. I recommend "Teacher, Teacher" (OMV) or "Who is going to be the one" (Live, Napalm Records) for a future reaction.

Hey guys, you may have entered a deep rabbit hole of great Jinjer songs. I've been a musician since I was a kid and I've played in multiple bands in several genres, but I was never into metal music with harsh vocals until I discovered Jinjer (and another metalcore band, Spiritbox) near the end of 2021. I became instantly infatuated with them due to their interesting, diverse songwriting, phenomenal musicianship of the band members and the incredible vocals of the metal goddess, Tatiana, with her insane ability to instantly transition back and forth from beautiful clean singing with great tone and control into some of the best growl/scream harsh vocals I've ever heard, female or male. BTW, they all come from the Donetsk region in eastern Ukraine.

@@professorandknowitall Recently Tatiana did a video for Revolver Magazine where she played a game guessing in different audio clips whether the vocals were "Man or Beast". In the video she said she wasn't really into "death metal" and a few people in the comments bristled about that.
Thing is some fans think their favorite metal artist listens to the same things they do. Most often they don't. In fact if you write songs for a living it's usually not a good idea to listen to a lot of new music in the same genre you write. Musicians having those outside influences keeps their music unique after decades of people writing metal songs or whatever music type they write for.

I agree wholeheartedly. That’s why my guitar is a glorified wall decoration now. I waited to long to open up. Lost the drive, lost focus, and everything got stale.
We do this channel for that very reason. Open your mind, find new stuff, turn peopl on to new stuff. You may not like it all, but you can respect the artistry.

All 4 of them are *top-tier* at what they do, & their compositions these days are some of the most satisfying I've come across thru my 40-odd years.
Hopefully you get to their gorgeous through-composed single "Vortex" soon. As a side note, if you're interested in how they get a single-guitarist heavy band to sound so HUGE, check out Eugene's bass playthrough vid straight after: it's a 5-string drop-A #MasterClass using *all* the technique, yet always tasteful & in service to the piece, rather than showy. ;)
All the best from a random music appreciator & new sub in Scotland! :)

Welcome to the JINJER family and do yourself a favor and don't compare Jinjer to other bands, Jinjer is such a complex band in terms of lyrics,
rhythm changes and musical variety, you might be missing out if you don't give the band the attention I think they deserve.

Vlad the drummer is referred to as the pianoplayer by the rest of the band he is classicly trained and there is a clip of him on U tube playing rachmaninov you can view. The musicians write the music and then Tati comes to the studio afterwards to create and sing the lyrics. Apart from Vlad all the others are selftaught .
