    True story: I started this video, saw I had a new e-mail, checked it, it turned out to be from the concert hall in my town, and it announced Jinjer will be playing there on September 25!! Stopped the video, bought the ticket, finished the video 😁 Yay!

      I was supposed to see them in 2020, but covid had other plans.... I still have my tickets, hoping for them to return one day after my country allows us to have concerts again.

    “I Speak Astronomy” is one of their best songs. Plenty for you to unpack with that one. Especially musically. And the vocals are great too. Well shit......it’s Jinjer....the whole damm thing is good just like so many of their songs.

    What nobody does better than Tatiana with the growls is her emotional expression. There are plenty of guys who can go lower, but Tati's sheer emotional intensity is unbeatable. Of course, it isn't just her growls, there is so much feeling in her cleans too, and her belting is intoxicating.

    Great reaction, thanks for posting this.
    The best Jinjer ones to check out are; 'Teacher Teacher' the official video, 'Judgement and Punishment' both the official video (for the story) and Tatiana's one-take vocal version (for the performance), maybe do a double-header two videos in one reaction.

    This one grows on you. Since they are different, and have multi-dimensions or loops, it's not totally easy to know right away. When they put the right ones together, it works. I like playing 5 seconds of one part of one of their songs for someone, then showing 5 seconds of a different part of the same song... and they don't know it's the same song, or which one they like better...

    Cool, you came back to this amazing band! Hell of a performance, these guys are even better live. Nailed the Gwen Stefani reference, big influence fot Tatiana. Pisces really is a unique song but if you dig in they have soooooooo much better! "I Speak Astronomy" official is a great one, kind like an epic journey: great music, intense lyrics and a great video too. She does some her best clean singing in that one. For a real treat of time shifts and crazy composition try the amazing "Teacher, Teacher" official: one of their masterpieces and a fan favourite. Keep up the Jinjer videos.

  • @ralflukas9695

    They had the first slot on that Friday at 11:00 am on the "Louder" stage, which is the third of the main-stages on the Infield (or "Holy Ground") and a bit smaller in the sense of room for the audience. Maybe because it was their first Wacken visit and it was not clear how many people would come? But they really deserved to play one of the two others because Jinjer is amazing live.
    As a next song I could suggest "Captain Clock" live from Resurrection Fest or "Who is gonna be the one" live, for a music-video you could check "Sit, Stay, Roll over" and for something different ("jazzy") you could listen to "Beggars Dance", which is very short and has no video.

    The Gwen Stefani comparison was right on track, Tatiana has stated in interviews that Gwen Stefani, and Amy Winehouse are two of her biggest vocal influences. Nice reaction btw.

      @@MattFarkas Yes, Gwen is one of Tatianas influences. She really has come into her own and grown into the front woman of this amazing band. All 4 of them have incredible talent and also a flair for the "different" - especially in their odd metered timings and their willingness to cross the boundries of just metal. Glad to see people enjoy their unique style and powerful delivery.
      Can't wait until November when they will be in my area of the US, got tickets a month ago - the longest wait ever!!! 🤣

      Also, I have said this before in other reactions, maybe I'll take heat for this - but I'm throwing it out there; I have been a fan of metal for literally 35+ years going back to the early/mid 80's when I was a huge Iron Maiden\Slayer\Metallica Fan - I think Jinjer has changed the equation - the landscape and musicianship - like I have only seen when Pantera hit with Vulgar Display in '92. I feel this band could be that influential.

    • @camlloyd3321
      @camlloyd3321 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@palladinodessa8988 Same here. Been listening to metal since the early eighties as well. Slayer was my all time favorite until I discovered Jinjer a couple years ago. This band consists of four of the most talented musicians I have ever heard. I must also state that Tatiana is among the best front persons I have ever seen. Her stage presence is unparalleled.

    I'm still trying to get used to the growling too. I actually really like a little growl here and there to give a little more excitement but this much growling is about my max limit. I don't think that will ever change. That being said; Tatiana is an extremely talented vocalist without the growling and her lyrics are outstanding and as growlers go, she is the best!

      @MattFarkas  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Everyone has a different preferred reaction style. A lot of people say they prefer the fact that I don't pause my videos. Others complain that I don't react enough while watching. Sadly, there's no way to please all my viewers. :(
