Yeah bro, but in my heart it cut deeper than that for Moe. At the end of the day, as much as some would argue, it is ALL about play not score. That is why Moe, Ben Hogan and Tiger Woods are true Zen masters. Moe did not lose his confidence, in his own words ' I have the feeling of greatness' 'the million $ swing'. He was a mathematics prodigy he knew what he could control and what was out of his control, true wisdom. Both Moe and Ben's swings whilst appearing different have more swing components in common than there are differences. It is the optional parts of the swing sequence that differ. It is more like the uspga should formally apologize to him posthumously. Life is short, Moe I am sure is being treated better now, God bless Moe Norman. Moe never married, no children, never drank a drop.of alcohol he turned loneliness into solitude & he vibrated at a frequency that would be very difficult for anyone let alone a golfer to exceed. With the opportunities he has he achieved All. I just love that I got to hear part of his story. I will though never feel sorry for him he is a legend of golf and life. Maybe, we can all keep an eye out to ensure that something like this does not happen again on our watch in all walks of Earthly life. All the best brother.
Moe was brow-beaten / bullied by a group of PGA Pros in New Orleans because of his "uniquely accurate" swing results, his broken / missing teeth, fast play and unfashionable clothes. One day, someone with a Single Plane swing, who is tougher mentally than Moe, will be able to shoot just a score of 63, each day, from Thur through Sun at tournaments and he will demolish all of Jack's, Arnie's, Gary's, Sam's and Tigers' records with ease.....mark my words --- and don't be surprised if he is Chinese, as their circus performers can't miss a practice even if they have a broken limb !!!
