well by the time you reach this point of having that much armor to survive being a live target for everybody, humans might be able to upload their consciousness like in AC6
@@joshuajoaquin5099 For infantry men, to take down an AC their best bet is an ambush. They would have a couple of potential advantages as infantry vs. an AC assuming they don't fuck up: 1. We are hard to spot on radar. And even with thermal, the AC is large and would need Line-of-Sight to confirm his target (unless the AC just wastes ammo and shreds the place). So being able to ambush an AC should be easy... actually KILLING the AC pilot is another matter... 2. Upgraded Ant-Tank and Armor-Piercing weapons. Infantrymen are pretty decent shots. Conventional weapons may not work. We'd probably need some futuristic perfected version of a portable Gauss rifle or a railgun to achieve muzzle speeds that could threaten an AC's armor, and the rounds will need to be explosive or acidic/corrosive. Your squad will need to be VERY good shots and be able to quickly disable boosters, cameras (in the head), and have some sort of jamming device to knock out the FCS. HOPEFULLY, you can get at the pilot's hatch and kill the bastard before the AC starts running on foot. If your ambush on the AC fails... you're dead. And you can completely forget about trying to neutralize an AC that's actively engaging in combat... you can't carry a stinger or anything like that to destroy it. Your hand weapons are too small. To engage an active AC your best bet is an EMP.
You HAVE to either be, the Adeptus Astartes, the Halo Spartans or at least, the Titanfall Pilots to be useful infantry in a world where Mechs are as fast a Gundam
A lot of these animations were based on real videos. The initial part was based on Iraq War footage, and that bunker buster bomb going through the concrete for example was also based on another real video, almost shot for shot.
This reminds me of my earliest memories of war. When I was 8, I saw footage of the first gulf war on the news. Pictures of troops in helicopters through grainy night vision, tracers lighting up the sky, the power and fear of perfectly guided bombs and artillery, tanks grinding burnt out cars into dust. From did a great job of making these battles realistic, eerie and futuristic all at the same time.
A lot of moments in this looked like real-life footage, like not computer generated. 1:14-1:20 for example even felt like an echo of the Shock and Awe event that happened during the Iraq War in 2003.
I didn't care much for this game, but they nailed it with this cinematic. Like, the ol' one-on-one mercenary duel makes for fun games and romantic ronin stories. But I watched that and thought "this is probably closer to what real world robocombat would look like, and it's a fucking nightmare."
Every time I watch this, I wish I could travel back in time to show classic video game developers that this is what games will become. I'm old enough to be a classic gamer myself lol.
AC's story is minimalistic* We get snippets from the mail & the very enemy themselves, but the protagonist has no voice. They glory in Armored Core is *piloting* your *custom made* machines. Because of those two parts, it isn't really set for the film industry. However, I'd love to see an attempt, if not many attempts... Just keep the Raven silent, and we'll be good.
One of the coolest things about Armored Core and a trait it shares with Gundam is the fact that many titles take place in their own continuity. I love the fact that when i sit down for an Armored Core game, I never know what I'm going to get besides insane robot action
Shaun Haynam no, they just need to improve it and build upon it. AC 5/VD are my favorite AC games since AC 3/SL and the main reason being the multiplayer. (Cause let's face it From isn't very good at making captivating stories) However if they actually make a good story and have lots of offline content then that'll be fine.
Personally ACVD was ahead of it's time. This type of team based game paired with a territory based overworld would probably go over very well. ForHonor, Rainbow 6 Siege, hell all the MOBAs. Back when it was released games like that were more niche and hardcore, now that's what the market wants, and especially what E-sports want.
I have played Armored Core 5 and I wish it used the old Armored core 2 through Last Raven mechanics and diched the fast paced always dashing mechanics.
Our armor is a success nothing can stand against it soon my new model will be given to me in Landings I will wear my crowning jewl creation with GREAT pride
I still can't justify it. We go from awesomeness to a wall jump and slow decent. It might as well be toy story flying. I think I would have been happier about V if there was no booster. Even mech warriors fly better and that is just sad my friend.
Lycan Valvaro You can't recycle the same thing over and over in games, you have to walk new paths eventually. These dirty heavyweight armored cores in V and VD are a breath of fresh air after almost 2 generations of AC games that we grew up on. For Answer took the basics cemented in AC3 and lead them to such an extreme that there was no point in continuing. Plus, if you remember it correctly, AC4A was so harsh on consoles that they would lose frames like crazy, making gameplay quite challenging at times. ACV was From Software doing its homework performance-wise, trying out new things and experimenting for future reference. All that work is put towards a bigger and better AC experience. This alone is worth the appreciation and respect.
I can see why they did this from a gameplay perspective. Flight gave a massive advantage to lightweight builds. From Software said it themselves they want to "kill trends." As much as I love lightweights, removing vertical flight was in my opinion the best move. Not only does it make flying and ground enemies more threatening, but it makes other AC builds more viable. Tanks were a joke in previous games, they were much more menacing here. As well as reverse joints being excellent at moving in the city.
In 2002 i shoked by Warhammer 4000 Dawn of War intro. 5-6 yeras ago i will shoked by this intro. And 2 years ago by Astartes 🙂 Damn i love that work. I see - this creates by man-worrier, but with brain.
What is this series about? I havent played any of the games. What is going on, Who are we rooting for? Who is fighting for what? Why were the soldiers recovering that wreckage wearing hazmat suits?
6 years comment so I doubt it would help. Plus aquarians response was deleted somehow by YT. Basically a rebellion rises up against a despotic regime and their heavily militarized police force. You first fight on the police side but then you switch over to the rebellion when you get fucked over by them. Turns out that the war was being exploited by a third party.
Absolutely criminal that Verdict Day didn't get a sick opening cinematic like every other title in the franchise.
Technicaly neither did ac6....
We got Mechanized Memories and Day After Day in exchange.
Boys, we're finally going home. After 10 years, AC6 is announced.
You’re a souls normie lmao you’re not one of us I just know it
Hooraaaa!!
Fastly approaching.
War..is part of my existence.
also GTA 6 😊
Could you imagine how terrifying it would be to a foot soldier in this war?
Yeah, human infantry would almost be obsolete when giant mechs rule the battlefield.

This intro is terrifyingly amazing. It looks like genuine Iraq war footage with a mecha dystopian twist. It looks too real!!

Those NVG and thermal shots are just beautiful.

I am now gonna make an Ork AC

New game announced.
Imagine this series put into film
i think of this all the time but really, the storyline would probably be crap, just like the games storyline. crap.
Sid Usher True, it's really hard to write an amazing game storyline that can really sell.
Man, imagine if Respawn and From Software made a game......
AC's story isn't crap, just confusing.

The staging of the scenes and the kinetics of movement are simply amazing. There is no such level of CG even now. What kind of company made GC?
I came back to this just for the crazy anti-air ac at 1:00. JESUS CHRIST that thing is monstrous!
Especially when you realize it can aim those guns DOWN at you as well!
It's like the thing has a pair of GAU-8s built-on it...
The screeching of the guns is like straight outta bloodborne 😅

just wish the gameplay and quality of the game matched this awsome CG intro.
yup
+Nerag Swerop Story line is absolute garbage though. half the time you don't even know what's going on.
Nerag Swerop its a bit late in the series for anybody to get into the lore at this point
its robots thats all you need hombre
Nerag Swerop that's the wrong one, though
@Churro Art Yeah but this game came out 2 years before ps4 and was probably in development even before then
From was overly ambitious when it came to the online component. Here's hoping that AC VI is dialed back in that regard.
Shaun Haynam no, they just need to improve it and build upon it. AC 5/VD are my favorite AC games since AC 3/SL and the main reason being the multiplayer. AV 6 in the making bois
Oh how glorious your comment has aged 😂 I hope the past 6 years worth the wait 🙌
Gulf War and Yugoslav wars vibes
If you got the art book they mention they used Fallujah as the model for the first part of the opening
I have played Armored Core 5 and I wish it used the old Armored core 2 through Last Raven mechanics and diched the fast paced always dashing mechanics.

If they just made a linear upgrade from ACFA, you might as well just play ACE or Zone of the Enders.
I can see why they did this from a gameplay perspective. Flight gave a massive advantage to lightweight builds. From Software said it themselves they want to "kill trends." It's a minor detail, but when the sniper AC shoots down the one Stork carrying an AC, you'll notice an arm flies off as it hits the buildings.
WHY THIS GAME FADED AWAY
Because mecha games are not popular. They are very niche, especially in the west.
Because the other titles made by FromSoft sold more than AC, apparently.
@@rqmhvc we wait a lot, but now is our moment, i am happy you was right
