I am 62 and started knitting at aged 5. In that time, I have never done a gauge swatch. I have also never knitted a garment in the round - I liked to make things on straight needles and then seamed them. I like the way you refer to your child as ‘them/they’, so there is no gender bias 👏🏻 I am vegan so I never use animal fibres - nearly always acrylic as I donate everything I make. A great podcast!
