What are the Differences Technology Between F-35A, F-35B and F-35C

  • As you may know, the F-35 Lightning II stealth fighter aircraft family manufactured by Lockheed Martin consists of three variants. They are F-35A, F-35B, and F-35C. All of these variants have identical performance characteristics and modern avionics. They are all single-seat and well-known as the world’s most deadly, survivable and advanced fighter aircraft, providing pilots an advantage against any adversary as well as allowing them to complete their mission and return home safely. However, the different basing requirements of F-35 variants result in the service-specific mission capability achieved by military forces. So, what are the differences between the F-35A,F-35B, and F-35C models of F-35 fighters that distinguish them from one another?

      @@BGRUBBINthe harrier has a long and lustrous career as an extremely useful aircraft, it is most certainly not pointless. They were able to be launched off of container ships in the Falklands War after the carrier was sunk, and Italy, who has few suitable runways, has put them to great use (and they want F-35Bs too). The Harrier was so advantageous that the US marines were willing to sink millions into developing, updating and improving it to maintain its ability to remain operational. It’s not as lethal as other jets, but it can be based out of areas completely inaccessible to those jets. By your reasoning helicopters are useless. That’s absurd.

    F35A the best performing but limited if range because it cant be launched anywhere without a land base.
    F35B the best variant that can be deployed anywhere but the worst performing once in the air i hope that other countries would not developed a plane with the same stealth, same tech but better raw performance because this plane will be like a devastator fighting a Zero.
    F35C meh basically an F35A with larger wings trade the guns for fuel capacity much heavier but aesthetically the best.
    So in conclusion, we can understand why Marines love the F35B is because it wasnt build for dogfights so they dont care about going toe to toe with another 5th gen fighter and they hope BVR is the way, Navy is less satisfied and i can understand why they basically have a ripped off version of F35A instead of having an aircraft design that really is for Naval use like before but now they are recycling air force toys unlike in the 40s to 60s where grumman design aircrafts that are really intended for naval used hence no performance tradeoffs. Air Force is the child who is really happy, fortunately they have bases abroad so their pilots aint going to watch navy pilots in the news doing all the work.

      F-35A internal cannon has only 182 rounds about 3 seconds continuous fire. F-35B and F35C have no internal cannon but can use an external gun pod containing 220 rounds. Gun pod increases radar cross section though, so I doubt it will be used much.

    23k of thrust engine will help the f-35 go faster so the 23k engine. It will cost 50 million dollars for f-35 engine for the 23k of the thrust. 23k of thrust work so build the 23k of thrust engine.

    I think the F-35B is brilliant but the A & C are compromised aircraft. I also think that when designers were planning aircraft like the NGAD or FA/XX that they turned to the F-35 suppliers. For example, the YF-23's cockpit borrowed from the F-15.
    The F-35 does not carry a Halon tank for fires, it makes it's own CO2. It does not have hydraulic lines running thru the fuselage, it has Power by Wire. This is only two of a myriad of new technologies pioneered with the F-35

      It’s more the opposite, the F-35B being the one being limited. The vertical fan system takes up a ton of internal room inside the aircraft that could be used for fuel or weapons in the A and C model. The B model has the worst performance of the 3

    • @rapidsqualor5367
      @rapidsqualor5367 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@hueyrosayaga The B does have the shortest range and is limited to 7G. It's that the F35 A&C are built from the B fuselage. If they purpose built for a F-16 replacement they could have something lighter with better Area-Rule and maybe better range and stealth.

      @@MrSteve8511 It’s still in service and hopefully they get something to replace it correctly. The F-35 isn’t a replacement for it but it is a good aircraft. Then again I see no reason why the F-35 and A-10 can’t work together other than simple cost management. The F-35 is going to be the aircraft of the line for the foreseeable future so it’s definitely necessary. The A-10 can totally function as well as it has in the past if ya the F-35 clears out the air defenses first and then the A-10 swoops in.

      @Luigi/MR L Gaming great way to look at it. But LM sold it to replace the A10 sadly. But the Airforce is in development to make a F35 replacement as we speak. It's the biggest mistake in military aviation history at the moment.

      @Blob B that's simply not true, not on a military or civilian aircraft. Dual engines make it much safer for a naval aircraft to return to the carrier if there is a problem with one engine, the other is for redundancy and safety. If the F35c has an engine problem then the aircraft is lost
