I met Jerry in an ex-pat bar in Hamamatsu, Japan. Some colleagues and I were out after work, wandered in, and before we even sat down there was a round tequila in front of us...then another...and another. We knew the bar owner and thought he was doing this but when we asked he pointed out Jerry. He was built like a fire plug, but the nicest guy. Paid him back with a shot and chatted a bit. Wasn't till later I found out who he was and saw some of his highlights. Met him again on another trip before he left Japan. We still talk about the time Jerry Collins tried to drown us with Tequila. RIP Jerry and Alana.
First time I saw JC.. Was at the the under 16 welly trials. All eyes were on him. He was only 14. Next year he came to my school. First time I met him.. he said me you and haystack.. and meech at 2. To this day biggest regret ever.. I had a chance to play with a legend.. but I chose the hood.
