Great video as always Shawn! Your photography at the beginning is simply beautiful. The Mini 4 Pro is my first serious drone and ALL of your many videos have been immensely helpful to me. Keep up the SUPERB WORK!
Sweet video. So cool you didn't go overkill with the adjustments. Too many people try so hard for videos to look "cinematic" that it looks unrealistic.
Brilliant video as always Shaun absolutely loved the footage you put together, I feel I must add that you personally are looking amazing your lifestyle change has worked wonders. Looking forward to your next video
Spot on observation of the Mini 4 Pro. It will be the staple drone for new-comers as well as professional flyers for a long time- an all around great drone
What immaculate footage, great to hear it was so simple to capture on this drone. Haven't had any drones for 7 years, thinking of getting back into it. Subbed within 10 seconds.
Great video. I started with an Exo x7 ranger and now my DJI mini 4 pro will be here Tuesday. I’ve really gotten into the hobby so I’m thrilled about this new drone.
Great video! I had the mini 3 pro for a year, unfortunately lost it due to a bird attack over the ocean, didn't want to purchase the same one again so ended up buying the mini 4 pro. Really pleased I upgraded, there are some really useful features with the upgrade!
The opening sequence was excellent! Having joiniing the drone world with a Phantom 2 Vision+, and owning 13 total DJI drones, for me the Mini 4 Pro is the cream of the crop. It doesn't have the camera of the of the Mavic 3, nor the wind resistance of the Mavic 3 or Air 3, but it provides the best bang-for-the-buck for most drone owners, in a very compact & portable package, all at an excellent price.
Amazing video man! i live in newfoundland myself and this is the drone im going to get, i fly FPV drones mostly but want a DJI drone for certain applications and this is a great video showcasing what the mini 4 pro is capable of!
Awesome intro to the video! It lacks nothing when compared to the creators using manual settings, special luts ( that we're supposed to buy!) or colour grading. I have a Mini 2 and just ordered a Mini 4 Pro. Thanks for mentioning that you fly in Auto. I'm a Ted Nemeth fan, and also exclusively shoot in Auto, and with ND filters in bright sunlight. To me, having to fool with the manual settings while flying, takes away my creativity and focus on getting the best shot. I also like that you are Canadian, which I am too. However, I am currently living in Panama and am having a hoot of a time filming nature and waterfalls. Thanks for the video and keep up the great work!
Upgraded from Mavic Air and am amazed with the cameras options ! Technology at its best. Going to enjoy it !!! Always quirks\pet peeve for something but still worth it to me.
Hello Sir.. I just had a mini 4 pro.. but only record video about 2:35 second max..🤷🏻♂️.. I used 256g SD card..?? Can you help..??? Know why please..??? Or any setting or bad drone,, drone brand new from Bedtbuy .. thank you Sir.. and happy fly 👍
I just bought a mini pro 4, it's still in the box waiting for the weather to clear. I did alot of compare & contrast research & everyone rates this drone as one of the Best "add default reason" available, so I bought it. It's my first drone, so I also got a HS to sharpen my flying skills first, rather crash & learn with the inexpensive model. Great update!!
Watch mini 4 pro youtube tutorials for a couple of hours and then start training in an open field, it is very hard to fail with this one! Youre going to have tons of fun with the m4 pro! Good luck! :D
Beautiful opening sequence - spellbinding shots and excellent soundtrack - very impressive composite - I aspire to your skills! Had to say that straightaway - now I'm looking forward to watching the rest of the video!
A 7 week newb and loving my Dji Mini 4 Pro, started 7 weeks ago with a toy drone which I really disliked and made me feel flying a drone isn't for me, due to internet about 5 day;s later got myself the mini 2 SE and really fell in love with flying my drone but was missing something so, last week monday got myself the mini 4 Pro and D@MN love this little flying camera.
Excellent job, so I had to drop a "well done" comment. Stunning footage and nicely edited too. Liked the whole video dude cheers. Would be nice to have scenery like that near me! Not had my Mini 4 long, about 4 weeks and have flown it twice, thanksto the awful weather, weeks of bloody rain! 🤬. Roll on summer! Keep up the good work best wishes too from the UK.
Awesome footage at the beginning, the landscape was incredible. Was that from Newfoundland? And great review of the Mini 4 Pro, I agree with everything you said. The only thing that hold it's back is ability to handle gusty wind like the Air 3 and Mavic 3 series of drones. Thanks for sharing.
@air photography I am about to buy a Mini 4 Pro... what would you say are the must have accessories to purchase from the beginning? I know I can add as I go but I also know that somethings like certain protectors etc really should be bought from day 1. An accessories video would be awesome.
I don’t know if there’s anything that are a must have if anything nd filters can always be useful but not necessary by any means. Other than that some extra batteries are really all you need.
hi, i'm also in canada and shopping for the dji mini 4 pro and probably the goggles 3 and motion3. This will be my first drone and I'm sure I'll like it. I wonder what the % risk of getting caught is if I bought the kit with the long-lasting batteries instead of the small ones? I will especially fly far from big cities like in the countryside where I live. Have you ever been arrested or had any problems whatsoever because of your batteries during your flight experiences? THANKS
I too have enjoyed my mini 4 pro due to its size, compacability and new feature during the most recent December 2023 firmware upgrade. Added vision positioning and auto mode for ActiveState 360
I went with the Air 3. I chose the Air because I live in the Chicago area and it’s called the Windy City for good reasons. My first drone the Mini 2 has always had problems with our winds here and my new Air 3 is much better handling our weather. But I still use and love my Mini and maybe when the Mini 5 comes out I’ll be needing a new smaller drone. Great job.
Hi, would I be able to use all the possible features on RC N2 that RC 2 offers along with the mini pro 4? For eg: would I be able to use active 360 tracking on N2 controller, etc? Thanks in advance!
Great video. The mini 4 is definitely on by bucket list of tools for my channel. Thank you for taking a little bit of the anxiety away about learning drones for someone who’s never flown one. You added the crashing waves and gull sounds correct? It sounded so real I thought the sound came from the drone. But that’s not possible? Thanks again.👍🏼😎
Amazing opening sequence videos, well done! I bought a mini 3 pro as a first drone and have had lens fogging issues, am I likely to suffer from the same problem if I lash out another large chunk of dosh on the mini 4 pro as I’m struggling to justify the expenditure?
Hi. Great footage! I ordered a mini 4pro yesterday! 2 questions... did you use an anamorphic lens? And I'm guessing the sound FX of waves and birds were added in post? If not, how did you get that audio ahead of the drone noise?! Thanks in advance
can you put a big black cage from DJI mini 2 over mini 4 pro? i’m looking for a full protection and i think that just propeller guards is not enough :/
I always wanted a drone, especially the DJI FPV BUT in Austria drone laws are crazy restrictive, so the sub 250g is the least mess to get and fly. I am really tempted to pull the trigger on the Mini 4 Pro.
So question from a guy coming using the very first mini: Do go mini 3 pro fly more combo or spend the extra $500 for the mini 4 pro fly more combo? I use mine for creating my motovlogs and motocamping adventures. The main feature is the active track that I’m interested in.
My Mini 4 Pro makes this slight creaking sound when I squeeze on the sides of the body shell - is this normal? A lot of people notice it and beleive it's because DJI is packing more tech into the drone while still keeping it light. Have you noticed this?
For me, the big thing with the mavic Air 3 is how well it does in the wind. I have had situations where I've launched when the wind is blowing. 22 knots gusting to 27 kind of thing. I would appreciate a smaller size. A lot of times when I'm traveling the smaller the bag the better.
Flew my mini 4 pro for the first time today. Interesting thing happened, at one point the controls were not responding, or I move the directional stick and it climbs. My mini 2 never did this. Is there a calibration I need for my RC 2 radio? For reference, it was indoors; does the obstacle avoidance feature have anything to do with this?
Can't wait for the mini 5. I mean, how can they improve on the mini 4 pro without going over 249g 😂 still it is dji We are talking about they always pull something out the bag. Thanks for sharing Sean 😁 👌 👍 🇬🇧
The receiption is on the legs. Mini 3 pro was so bad because they were horizontal within the arms. The one and only time they did this and M3P suffers in video receiving for it
Having just purchased the M4P, it's had 4 updates in 3 weeks. Each time I setup to fly, there is another update, one of which included the P mode issue from the N mode. Reading the DJI forums have given less product and flying confidence with each update DJI puts out. Have completely lost confidence in the integrity and safety of this DJI Mini 4 Pro with RC2 product. Still being in the Amazon return window, the Mini 4 Pro is being returned. I bought the drone to have fun not to get wrapped up in all the DJI update/firmware/software drama. Too much distraction to enjoy flying the experience the drone offers for $1100.
I don't hike anymore, and my Mavic 3 case will fit on my electric bike so I can carry it almost anywhere I can go, however, I probably fly the Mini 4 Pro more if only due to the fact that is is stealthy. I prefer to fly it if people are around and the wind is not too bad...
To me it more crazy to think that this at its size weighs almost identical to a iPhone 15 pro max , the max with with case is about 270g so even with plus batteries in it’s only 291g
The easiest way is just to remove the memory card and plug it into the device you want to transfer it to with a card reader that’s how I do the majority of mine. You can use the DJI Fly app but it’s a little slower
@@AirPhotography This is where things get confusing I have seen other videos that say to transfer the images and videos to the card, then remove the card and add to a computer.
Hard to even tell a video shot on a Mini 4K compared to a Mavic 3. Only difference is when the zoom lense is used. Other that than, to the average person, once edited right, pretty much the same.
The hardware specs are very similar but that doesn’t matter - both are great on that level. The differences are in the obstacle avoidance and the huge improvement in flight modes. Waypoints flight is a game changer. The Active Shots are improved out of sight. Upgrading is a no-brainer!
In my experience the photo quality is worse on the mini 4, especially at night. The compass always needs recalibration too. Also randomly you won’t be able to zoom. None of these issues happened on the mini 3 pro. Upgrading is a rip off
Thanks for the review. Very nice footage

Amazing video mate, the Mini 4 Pro is a great drone!
Great video. I started with an Exo x7 ranger and now my DJI mini 4 pro will be here Tuesday. I’ve really gotten into the hobby so I’m thrilled about this new drone.
Is the DJI mini 4 overkill for someone who has never used a drone before?
Love your reviews, Sean, and this one is no exception. Since I laready have Air 3 and Mini 3 Pro and NOT an unlimited budget :) , I'll stay put.
Great video! I had the mini 3 pro for a year, unfortunately lost it due to a bird attack over the ocean, didn't want to purchase the same one again so ended up buying the mini 4 pro. Really pleased I upgraded, there are some really useful features with the upgrade!

Excellent long term review, thanks 🤩

I do enjoy your videos. I'm a beginner with this dji mini4 pro. I'm impressed so far gotta get it together. Thanks an keep on flying my friend

Great review. I have the Air 3 and I'm also considering this one for its size. Side note, what bag is that? Looks perfect for a small drone bag.
Agree with everything said!!! 👍👍👍 And yes, I carry the M4P with me everywhere!

Shawn, how does this Mini 4 Pro do in the wind? I have a Mavic Air and a Mavic Pro, and the Mavic Pro definitely holds up better in wind. Thank you.
Thx for this review. Did you use any filters to create the opening videos?
Tha k you for the thoughtful review!
Great review Shawn. What are your experiences in windy conditions? I’m considering to purchase between Mini 4 Pro and Air 3

Does the mini 4 have a return to controller option for when you are doing the tracking stuff? Or do you have to manually fly it back to yourself?
Yes all camera drones have this. You have to be smart and reset the location if your on the move
Thank you for a very informative video on the DJI Mini 4 Pro. Just purchased the Mini 4 Pro Combo with a SYMIK P30 case. Phil - Kentucky
does the video include audio? My Tesla records silently

Did you use a filter on the lens? Your imagery doesn't look over sharpened like I keep seeing with this drone camera.
Which LUT did you applied from Lumafusion?
I like the Fimic one. But I usually turn it down to about 40% strength.
Cool jacket, could you please share from where you got it?

DJI solved this problem in M4P
Hi. Great footage! I ordered a mini 4pro yesterday! 2 questions... did you use an anamorphic lens? And I'm guessing the sound FX of waves and birds were added in post? If not, how did you get that audio ahead of the drone noise?! Thanks in advance
No anamorphic lens. All I did was crop it when editing to give it that look. And yes, a little bit of sound design to add depth to the video.
@AirPhotography thanks for the reply. I ordered an anamorphic lens for mine today!
can you put a big black cage from DJI mini 2 over mini 4 pro? i’m looking for a full protection and i think that just propeller guards is not enough :/

I turned the obstacle avoidance feature off, that is what was messing with it.
Do not fly it inside. Outdoors open area
Does the motor silver rings show any signs of rust? Cause the mini 3 has this issue.
No
Where is the bag from
Nice video; thank you.
In your opinion, how does the Mini 3 Pro camera compare to the Mini 4 Pro video footage?
Good video 🤙
Very nice!

I completely agree with this - I have this drone exactly 18 hours after the premiere and I also have the same feelings - best regards
Are there iPhone apps that can edit d-log m and grade it? Brand new to drones, have mini 4 pro…
I use LumaFusion, which is a mobile app. It’s reasonably priced there’s no monthly fee and fully support grading and the use of luts
@@AirPhotography thank you for your response and info, I’ll look into that right away
Do you have a link to the messenger bag?
I had the same question. Did you ever figure out what bag this is? I searched the brand but can't find it. Looks perfect for small drones.

I was gonna buy the DJI Mini 4 with the DJI RC 2 Remote, but decided to go with the Mini 3 without Obstacle Avoidence because of budget constraints.
Why does it say on dji website they fly 20 klm. 12 miles and they never do that not even 4 Mike's that's crap
Because that’s the one-way range!! If you want to get your drone back, you obviously can’t fly it farther than 10km
