Skyline loop at mount rainier is also amazing. I saw glaciers, marmots, waterfalls, several mountains in the distance like st helens, and mount rainier is stunning.
I have done Upper Yoesmite Falls as well and honestly, I don't think the final view is really worth it. A great trail, but I definitely preferred Vernal and Nevada Falls.
I feel like "Trail of the Cedars'' at Glacier NP is an amazing trail. It was one of the few spots on "Going to the Sun" road that was open when I visited during the 2020 park lockdown. The trail showed how lush the park really is. The waterfalls and streams were beautiful (as I imagine the rest of Glacier NP's water features are)
Man your channel is really growing like crazy. I followed you a couple weeks ago when you were at like 900 subs. Keep it up man! You're gonna be big I think.
Angel's Landing gets all the attention at Zion, and I can understand why. However, I found the Narrows to be more fun and also more memorable. Upon first entering you are greeted by a wall of cool air as the snow runoff feeding the channel cools your surroundings. The sheer cliffs rising up on either side of you, coupled with the occasional trees growing straight out of the rocks, are a sight unmatched anywhere I've been. The nature of the trail itself being a shallow river is also unique and refreshing. While the crowds at Zion create an obstacle to work around, you can easily go off the trail of the Riverside Walk and grab a picnic spot where no one will bother you. In summary, Zion is the most incredible park we've been to (we've hit quite a few) and the Narrows unexpectedly became our favorite trail.
The Narrows seem to be an amazing hike, but I've yet to visit the park at a time when the trail was accessible. Zion just has unbelievable hiking for sure.
Really appreciate your channel, I took your advice and did some of these hikes! One that I'd add towards the top of the list was Devils Garden in Arches NP
Quality video as always! Your pictures are top notch. The music was pretty good. Very educational, and I learned a few new hikes to add to the list. The commentary is outstanding. My favorite hike is Angels' landing of course.
My favorite hikes I've done so far in no particular order: (1) Queens Garden and Wall Street at Bryce Canyon -- YES!, (2) Roads End to Bailey Bridge to Mist Falls in Kings Canyon (small section of the Rae Lakes backpacking trail that requires a permit), (3) General Sherman/Congress/Alta to Big Trees Trail and back to General Sherman in Sequoia, (4) Angel's Landing (well up to Scout Lookout anyway -- didn't do chains), (5) Hidden Falls/Inspiration Point/part of Cascade Canyon to String Lake in Grand Teton, (6) Wapiti Lake Trailhead to Brink of Upper/Lower Falls to Grand View, out and back in Yellowstone, (7) Kilauea Iki/Crater Rim/Thurston Lava Tube trail in Hawaii Volcanoes, (8) Windows Loop and Turret Arch in Arches, (9) Mesa Arch Trail in Canyonlands (even though it's super short), (10) Prairie Creek/West Ridge/Foothill Trail in Redwoods, (11) Smokemont Loop trail in Great Smoky Mountains, (12) Walls of Jericho along Alabama/Tennessee line [not a park, but one of the BEST local hikes near where I live], (13) Marginal Way in southern Maine, (14) Delicate Arch in Arches, (15) Pololu Trail on NW side of Big Island in Hawaii (very short and steep descent down to sacred area with black sand beach), (16) Upper Geyser Basin in Yellowstone, (17) Mud Volcano in Yellowstone.
Not strictly related but I think you should absolutely visit some of the national parks of Japan if you ever get the chance, especially Shiretoko, Chubu-Sangaku, and Aso-Kuju. Japan has a lot of beautiful nature on offer and should absolutely be a destination for national park fans especially if you like caves, mountains, hikes, and volcanic landscapes. A lot of their parks were formed by merging smaller parks together (Ex: Fuji-Hakone-Izu) so don't forget to visit each of the different parts!
Nice video. I like your picks and hope to do some, but not all of them. Gonna pass on Angel's Landing and that other one you said was scary. I'm willing to hike for views and a sense of accomplishment, but not to be scared to death! Thanks!
My favorite trail is Grinnel Glacier at GNP, highline is an epic trail too especially if you do the whole thing and any of the look outs. Hoping to do Pitamakan - Dawson trail some day
Hardly a hike, but the best Time I have had in a national park (in the usa, outside of alaska) was backpacking the portion of the continental divide trail that goes though rocky mountain np. Few things in the world can beat the scenery of colorado's alpine tundra in autumn.
I absoutely loved the 10, and 9 trails at Lassen Volcanic and Bryce!! I actually put Lassen as my #1 National Park! (So Far) Delicate arch is def one of my favorites at Arches, it is just so iconic. I almost missed it too because the day I went to arches there was heavy rainfall and they closed it! I just knew I had to stay an extra day to do that trail. I could not travel back home without seeing the most famous arch in the world haha. Then Angels landing...PHEW what a hike. One of the best hikes ive ever done, I did it RIGHT before you had to enter a lottery and it was PACKED with people! So worth it though, the highlight of that trip though was actually seeing I Believe a California condor in Zion!! It was on top of angels landing and I got some AMAZING shots of it. I will for sure have to check out the rest of the hikes you mentioned! Thank you so much for the content! Keep up the great work!
Bearfence Mountain Rock Scramble in Shenandoah National Park, South End Loop in Cumberland Island National Seashore, and Devil’s Courthouse Trail on the Blue Ridge Parkway.
I’ve seen this and the other one ranking the National Parks. Although I enjoyed them, you need to get to Acadia. Acadia is by far the best east of the Mississippi and a top 10 park overall. What Acadia has an ocean… and unlike many western hikes, trees. Hike Penobscot Mountain, The Precipice, The Gorge Path up Cadillac Mountain. I look forward to your updated lists. 😀
Thanks for sharing. My goal is to take my two daughters (8 & 10) to all 63 parks. We have seen 3 so far, with many on the list this year. I will watch many of the videos to get a preview. Thanks again
Kinda disappointed that nothing from RMNP made the list, guessing you didn't get a lot of time to explore the park when you were there. The best "bang for buck" hike at Rocky is Chasm Lake, 8.4mi round trip, about 2400ft of climb to an incredible lake that sits right at the base of the diamond (the sheer 2000ft rock wall that forms the east face of Longs Peak), be comfortable with the elevation as the lake sits at 12,000ft. I have also hiked to the source of the Colorado river which is also in the park, though that one is a lot of work at 15mi round trip, but is great if you really want some seclusion
Rocky Mountain has fantastic hikes, but I don’t think I’ve seen the best of the best hikes that park has and with over 150 trails to choose from, it was hard to pick just 10.
I hear both pronunciations and never know which one is correct because more say it my way but those who say it your way seem to know their stuff. If I do have to change the way I say it, breaking the habit will take a while.
Skyline loop at mount rainier is also amazing. I saw glaciers, marmots, waterfalls, several mountains in the distance like st helens, and mount rainier is stunning.
We just finished up sequoia, kings canyon and Yosemite. We didn’t do the mist trail but did upper falls instead. Wish we did the other
I have done Upper Yoesmite Falls as well and honestly, I don't think the final view is really worth it. A great trail, but I definitely preferred Vernal and Nevada Falls.
Great list! Love the music
Thanks!

I have done that trail and the river is magical. Definitely a great one to talk about.
Man your channel is really growing like crazy. I followed you a couple weeks ago when you were at like 900 subs. Keep it up man! You're gonna be big I think.
Thank you. It's been an amazing month. Going from 600 to 2,000 is special and I appreciate your support.
Thanks for this great list! I’ve been on six of these and have four more hikes to do!
It’s great to hear that you’ve done some of these great hikes. Thanks for watching!

That’s great to hear. Devil’s Garden is definitely another great Arches hike.
Quality video as always!

My favorite hike is Angels' landing of course.
Hi! What's the music you used in this video, it really fit the vibe!
It's in the TH-cam audio library and is called Leaning on Everlasting Arms.

They sound beautiful and I’d love to see those areas of Japan.

No problem. I can understand not wanting to do potentially dangerous trails, but I never realize how frightening a trail is until it is too late.
My favorite trail is Grinnel Glacier at GNP, highline is an epic trail too especially if you do the whole thing and any of the look outs. Hoping to do Pitamakan - Dawson trail some day

I’m happy you enjoyed this. Thank you for watching.
My favorite at Glacier is Cracker Lake. Zion, hands down Narrows. Yes, Lassen is wonderful, I want to return.
Great choices!
Very good ... but would have liked more Eastern NPs but I understand that they are not very mountainous.
Bearfence Mountain Rock Scramble in Shenandoah National Park, South End Loop in Cumberland Island National Seashore, and Devil’s Courthouse Trail on the Blue Ridge Parkway.
Excellent hikes for sure. I loved Bearfence Mountain.

I will be going to Acadia in June and I’m super excited. Thanks for the advice:
I'm moving out to the east cost and so excited to go to Acadia!!
@@NationalParkWild You’ll love it. Went for the first time last year and was beautiful
@@ziffelkid1445 Good to know
Honorable mention South Kaibab trail at Grand Canyon National Park. That hike is not for the faint of heart.
Thank god someone said it. All hikes in Lassen are up there.
To me, Lassen is the best NP.
That’s awesome. Lassen is an incredible place.
Emory peak in big bend is an incredible hike
It looks wonderful. I’ll definitely have to get back to Big Bend some day.
Highly recommend the entire south rim trail. It’s beautiful
Thanks for sharing. My goal is to take my two daughters (8 & 10) to all 63 parks. We have seen 3 so far, with many on the list this year. I will watch many of the videos to get a preview. Thanks again

Everyone pronounces Zion wrong. Zion rhymes with lion. Source: Utah resident.
