Thanks for this useful information. When I added the point cloud to the data in the Map Task Pane the point cloud shifted from its inserted coordinates and no longer lines up with my orthoimagery. I noticed watching the coordinates in your demo that your point cloud also moved when added. What is going on?

I assume you're talking about the jump in numbers around minute 3:07. If that's the case, then you'll notice that I actually move my mouse thus causing the jump in numbers. However, I still needed to do a zoom extents because the point cloud geolocated itself several million feet away from where I was originally zoomed into.

hello im using faro scanner to capture the pointcloud and there is no classification option on the C3D, do you have another way to resolve that pointcloud? thank you so much

I'm sorry. I'm not an expert with scanners so I don't know how to classify the points within a scanner. However, I do believe there is a way to do so in the Faro scanner. I only say that because I've received data from a Faro scanner in the past. So, to answer your question . . .I don't know of any other way at this time. My apologies.

Quick Question - Is classification to Ground and others need to be done by scanner? I am not able to extract only ground point clouds. I will really appreciate any help.

Yes, it all happens on the scanner. I'm not a drone expert, but I do know that it must be coded in the scanner.

@@j-porter Thank you for your response. My Scanner is FAROX330. Do you know if there is a way to do that there?

@@amitgajurel2821 I honestly know nothing about scanners. Is there a FARO support line you can call?

@@j-porter Thank you so much for your response Jason. I will reach out to FARO and ask them this.

Hello! I am at the step where I’ve right clicked on my point cloud > selected Filter Point Cloud. My data is not showing a “Classification” filter setting, just elevation, intensity, and spatial. Is there a way to get this to show up? Thank you!

Sorry for the late reply. I've been out. The problem is that the point cloud was not collected with the ground data. It all happens on the scanner side.
