To me the NCR always felt like the right faction, because they bring a sense of democracy and order that isn't just murder robots or slavers. Besides, they remind me a lot of the Roman Republic. Not like those pretenders in Cesar's Legion. 😤
I haven't played Fallout New Vegas in ages, My last character was one of the most evil character who walked The Mojave Wasteland. She talked near enough killed everybody.
The only places my Courier would go after Hoover Dam is California to live the life and become a Ranger or Lost Hills to talk sense into the Council. Also what do you guys choose for Helios One, Westside and Primm? I can see rational arguments for a couple solutions to each. Westside you could let them have the water for their own stability at the cost of the farms and risk mass starvation elsewhere or you could turn Anderson in and that doesn’t happen but Westside chooses between starving or being annexed. I usually choose to blame the Scorpion gang (which I always wipe out myself). They may just figure it out and revert the water. The same principle applies to Primm with the three sheriffs. Primm Slimm is funny and incorruptible but impractical for security because he’s just one slow and stupid protectron, Meyers is a hard cowboy that will have his own interests but the town has actual law enforcement and can be independent and at least better off whereas Primm Slimm is the status quo with a rubber stamp, McGee instates martial law I guess which is its own problem and instead of Primm being self-sufficient the NCR has to expend resources and manpower they could be using to fight the Legion running security and taxing the little town which will cause bankruptcy and resentment especially considering the main attraction and revenue stream (a Casino) is illegal in the NCR although I’d call that a positive on its own and it gets replaced by (barely profitable) trade. Helios One you could have the power sent to the strip Camp McCarran which in turn sends the rest to California but both places remain powered during Hoover Dam unless you turned on the reactor for Yes Man or House so it’s McCarran that needs it, Freeside and Westside is good to help both communities and the Followers develop and stay functioning while the dam isn’t supplying them with power but also the reactor, dividing the grid equally gives minimal help to all parties in the short term (I don’t know if “region-wide” means it’s going to California too or it’s really just that weak) but the plant could be fully repaired by the NCR, BOS, Followers and random wasteland engineers after Hoover Dam. The Moore the merrier. I imagine Archimedes and the tower’s defensive lasers will be rediscovered and reactivated while the plant is fully capable of supplying everything at once. The BOS may not like that or may want control of it and it’ll cause another conflict because the NCR has apparently become a very cynical, dissociative and covetous society (shocking no one). How this happened with all of these factions starting and running the country together. Did they just not show up to meetings?
Try reloading an older save. I have one that is set right before the battle of hoover dam and that's how I rerecorded the video when I forgot to complete a quest.
Just imagine, Doing all that work, defeating the legion. Just to die form General Oliver blowing open the door you are literally about to open, NCR really are screwed.
I did this with Veronica (equiped with pushy) as companion..at level 50...I never had time to place a shot..Veronica mowed throug the legion like a Stampede..even the legate was attacked on sight...no time to speak...she just slaughtered him right away..

There is a significant amount of unused content that would have been used in a post-game scenario. Like 20+ conversations with existing audio are in the game files for various NPC reactions to the different winners of Hoover Dam. Basically every Freeside character has some spiteful remark about you enslaving them all. Meanwhile Veronica has some form of a positive outlook on all endings. Poseidon Energy could get retaken by the Brotherhood during the battle and Fantastic gets a suit of power armor and joins them. They presumably didn't have enough time to record and implement everything to make it worth including in the game.
@spungebub7963 My guy, two major cities are gone. The entire reason they wanted the Dam was for Shady Sands. Now Shady Sands has magically been moved to California instead of Nevada and got nuked along with the Boneyard. They could barely survive when the BOS took their gold, imagine a nuke. Nah, they're gone gone.

also got lost on my first playthrough since it's an unmarked quest but you'll have to go to the ncr embassy in the strip and talk to ambassador crocker (note that you can only do this if you received an invitation which you'll get after spending some time in the strip)
After you kill Benny an NCR trooper gives you a note from Ambassador Crocker saying to see him in the embassy, which is also when Vulpes Inculta tells you to see Caesar
I kinda prefer letting him go just so he has to live with the defeat at hoover dam until his eventual return. I picked Primm Slim because I have a soft spot for robots (I also picked Meyers on my xbox save file). I wanted to try something new on my PC's save for new vegas. Thanks for the kind words.

This is the ending I always try to get. Sure, Independent sounds right, but I always feel like this is the best ending of the game.
I'm personally a house fan but I agree. I just wish the other factions had as much content as NCR.

I always wondered what was the point of leveling up when the game was at it's terminal conclusion. Unlike Fallout 3, it ends here.

Where can I pursue more NCR main quests? Is it necessary to wear NCR clothing to unlock the missions? Since I have a liked status from NCR.
Honestly I just roam around the map. I don't think you need to wear NCR gear if you are already liked by the faction itself.
