10 minutes of finishes shows his quality and longevity
Facts
The fact that they showed the third McGregor fight as a “finish” thought…
@@sortakindageeseDustin claims he caused the injury with a leg check. It’s still a win. Just like Chito and O’Malley.
Salon quality
Yup, he was great at being 2nd place
One of the greatest lightweights of all time.
Top 10 sure but barely.
Bro hasn’t even won a title though… and no interim doesn’t count.
@@Noner1234top 5 easily.
@@KnownAsFoxy it doesn't matter. his quality of opponents and number of wins in the UFC speaks for itself.
One of the greatest Lightweights of the night
Never hit anyone in the groin, never broke the rules, didn’t have problems with usada, everytime was giving his best, what a rare kind of fighter.
7:41 was watching this as I read your comment. Not denying he’s a clean fighter, but that was straight to the nuts LOL
I was hit with the rules and had my groin broke
He hit Eddie though, which doesn't count as he's the cheap shot king. =p
also never pulled out or ducked anyone
Dariush?@@zachariahzachmann6752
The Diamond, never in a boring fight.
That's just a fact.
Hell yeah every fight with him is entertaining
yeah idc who he's fighting, im watching.
He's Allergic to them
a true berseker
I don’t give a fuck what anyone says. This dude is the greatest pure fighter the UFC has ever seen.
I like this comment .
Yeah.
💯
History will disagree.
Dam straight
How we are going to miss him when he retires 😢
i think it’s coming soon too honestly 😔😢
I'd say he's retiring after this with a loss
Get a life
Youre not wrong, i understand but Care about yourself more than others
Gonna miss him...fight of Year fights against Pettis, tkz, Eddie, Justin, max, hooker, Chandler...many these fights deserve to be in UFC hall of Fame fights.
1)Second most knock out in lightweight division.
2) Only fighter to finish Max Holloway
3) First fighter to Knock out Green
4) First and Only Fighter to Knock out McGregor
5) First and Only fighter to Submit Micheal Chandler
6) Allergic to boring fights
7) Have the greatest resume in lightweight division (personal opinion)
Bobby got clocked by Jalin Turner in last December.
@@nonoffensiveperson9877that’s why he said first fighter
Allergic to boring fights is hilarious
DP >Jones, this dude is my top 5, no illegal elbows, knees, eye pokes, glove grabbing, and he fights multiple per year at his age
@@At-cx4kw didnt hit gf with car
Dustin always brings the heat
BSD knocking this dude out sadly such a shame to see 😔
@@valero6981only way for him to win against Dustin, knock out or submission... there's no way he fights Dustin for 5 rounds and win decision against guy like Dustin who has years worth of 5 rounds fights experience.
@@valero6981 he better ko him with all the hype you people been putting behind him😭 I see Dustin making it a long night for Benoit
@@valero6981 BSD got knocked out instead
@nizam3325 um actually he had a staph infection and took antibiotics prior so doesn't count 🤓☝️
That armbar on Max was nasty.
SICK AF. It's still such a trip seeing those two, so young, with the pre-UFC official fight kit, sponsored shorts. Dustin used to be a WAY better grappler, it seems. Then again, that fight was at 145.
His ground game is severely underrated only guy to finish max too
Crazy seeing Max scream in fear like that too.
@@porkerpete7722that’s not fear, that’s pain 😂
Max was skinny back then
"Dustin's loading up and that's a mistake."
- Immediately knocks out Bobby Green.
LMAO
Classic rogan.
Doesn't take away that it was a mistake. It just so happen to pay off this time but he was doing the wrong thing
@@chingatu6644wrong
Fighting is very situational. "Loading up" isnt always bad. It leaves you open for counters, sure. But if you time the shots right then its usually the knockout punch. @@chingatu6644
@@sunleo6161 his right
Nothing like DP when hes got u hurt. Some of best killer and finishing instinct in the game. Savage.
One of the best finishers in MMA history, it helps that he has power in both hands. I love watching his left and right hook combinations when his opponents are on the fence.
Hell yeah me too. Nothin like DP when he has you hurt against the cage.
Or when he gets hurt, because he fights back to win in in epic fashion. I love the guy.
@@Charismaniac yes, exactly. That dawg💯
Man that’s a murderers row of the lightweight division. Impressive as hell that he not only won but finished all of them.
Also won against violence TRI angle or square?like Justin, Eddie and Chandler.
@usamakhalid1637 The real murderers row of the lightweights. Those 4 either way you switch it have a fight of the year every damn time. Tho Eddie was winning till he made an oopsie that lost him position
@@maltheri9833 yeah... even first fight ended because of a foul.but Dustin is durable and has ability to take some punishment early on and later he take over the fight...that's why best chance is to knock him out submit him early in 3 rounds.winning decision against him isn't easy.
@@usamakhalid1637Eddie also won the triangle of Violence, he’s 1-1 with chandler knocked out Gaethje faster than Poirier and is kinda 1-1 with him imo the first fight was in Eddies favour but shit happens
Dustin KOing Conor was pretty momentous. No one had ever done that before.
You dude knocked out my guy, but I’m not one of those cocky other fans of his..
Kudos to Dustin tho, he always made adjustments after losing a fight prior
Edit* not a biased fan Dustin deserves to be in the HOF
Except to the guy that asking McChicken come on! lets talk!
@@sportsonwheelss can you read?
@@sportsonwheelsskhabib is great but his fans suck
nate choking him out was honestly waaaaay more momentous people really thought conor was indestructible at that time 🤦♂️
2:34 the classic “I gave him the chance to be a warrior” Yamasaki
Made the mistake of still living
Mario "if he dies, he dies" Yamasaki
How about Eddie?
It’s crazy how consistently bad he was at stopping fights
Most entertaining crossed with quality fighter in the sport for me. Some are more entertaining, some are higher quality... but Dustin is the perfect blend of elite fighting ability and also putting on entertaining fights. He's one of the very few who has both of those qualities as a martial artist.
Dustin, Max and Gaethje
@ImagoofybaII great selection of fighters there mate. All of which are value for money. 🥋🤙
Never seen any of those guys in a boring fight.
💎
Are there that many more entertaining though? Only Justin gaethje when he first got to the ufc comes to mind, but even now he plays it safe. Chandler is up there too
Dustin Fights ALWAYS DELIVER
10 minutes of a future hall of famer 💯
Dustins elite boxing always makes me forget he's one of the greatest submission artists in the UFC.
Absolute ELITE resume
Elite fighter and humble man who lives for his family and helping others through his charity. One of the most likeable people ever to grace combat sports. 💎
NEVER a boring fight. Violenceweight king
Now that's a highlight reel. Every fights a banger with Poirier. What a legend.
His hitlist includes the best/biggest fights of the last 15 years
I'm not ready for the 💎 to call it quits. One of my favorite fighters. Never in a boring fight. Everyone's gonna miss him when he's done fighting
Dustin's finishing sequences are so beautiful. Such crisp boxing
The man who has never lost twice in a row, u got this DP💎
yes he did and now its strap hunting szn
dustin will go down as one of my favorites of all time. he brought everything to every fight and fought with the best.
Dustin Poirier should be inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame on the day he retires.
what a heart
pure warrior
For Dustin
Dustin came a long way since his first fight with McGregor. He's a true worrior and champ ,I will miss him when he retires.
Absolute monster. Years.. YEARS of being in the top of the lw division. Nothing but respect, can't wait for his future fights. Bro needs to be champ, he sure has the heart of one
Poirier is so good, love his boxing and his grit.
I remember him in featherweight he used to be jiujutsu guy, but as he losses to mcgregor, he work hard &became a beast ,his cardio, boxing combos& stonewall defense is what makes him a monster
I always call him ambidextrous the way his left is just as powerful and fluid as his right
I'm French, i want BSD to win but i love too Justin Poirier, it's a legend of UFC.
May the best win.
Dustin Poirier is originally from France if I'm not mistaken.
Congrats 😁
@@mullz.mhis ancestors may have been French at some point but Dustin is Louisiana born and raised
@@Seymourjohnson69 yeah I know he was born and raised Louisianian. Thanks for the info anyway ✌️
@@Seymourjohnson69 your profile pic 😂
'A Living Legend' is the most appropriate term for The Diamond. I bet, he's still active fighting as he has a carity to keep operate. What a noble human and fighter!
Last of a dying breed. DP is one of the greatest fighters in history
You can really see his shift into boxing as he got older
Brawler turned boxer
lmao bobby clapping then getting up and yelling fuck is so on brand
I like the way Dustin fights. Guys a G
Dustin Poirier is the man. A true legend of combat sports, always has exciting fights in the octagon. He’s also done so much for the community with the Good Fight Foundation. A truly classy fighter, humble, respectful. A role model for what a martial artist should be. 👏👏👏💎
Such an inspiration 🙌🏼 All the homies love Dustin
His shots are some stuff of legends
A certified Legend of the sport, Dustin "The Diamond" Poirier.
Definitely 10 mins of well rounded finishes. I hope this another go for the belt.
The Diamond will be remembered as one of the greatest the UFC and the greatest Louisiana has ever seen. No doubt.
Can we just appreciate how quick he transitions to his Darce and even when people know about it they can't defend.
Dustin has been on the top for so long and put on some of the best performances. Whatever he is doing inside and outside of the octagon really inspires me. Lets go Diamond @ UFC299
Absolute banger every time he fights.
A true fighter and absolute future Hall of Famer! He encapsulates the phrase "kill or be killed" 💎
The uncrowned champ 💎
One of the best in his division definitely one of the best gatekeepers and future HoF imo
I love Dustin Poirier! Great athlete and fighter. Respectful. Great sportsmanship and no disrespectful celebrations. Nice!
"Relish long grueling war" definitely an adjective for Porier, Hall of Famer. every fight is a war. co-main event my @ss, every Poirier fight is a maint event🔥🔥🔥
Been my favorite fighter for a while now, dude always delivers great fights.
love the change of thumbnails😭
Perfect highlight reel. I love watching him go for the finish, pure killer instinct.
8:02 The screaming from the commentators is hilarious.
His punches are really accurate like he never misses one or rarely misses one.
with either hand
His resume is crazy I comotlely forgot he fought pettis. Pettis actually had an elite run there in the reebok shorts fought for the interim belt at featherweight before that poirier fight didn't he?
Dustin is the Best
diamond 💪
You won't find a more impressive highlight reel than this one
All these years and still zero boring fights! What a goat!
Surprised they showed Conor getting TKOd
Wow so surprising, its a win
Dooctorrr stoopaaage
Conor McGregor was never my friend
@@belikewater3031yea you have no brain😂

Absolutely true legend in UFC
Dustin is a savage, love his style, his fights always deliver fireworks
Favorite fighter. Best pressure game when he gets his opponent to the fence
The 💎 forever!
Alvare, Chandler, Gaethje and Poirier are seriously the hardest mofos out there. What a treat to have seen their careers.
Their blue-collar ethos make them easy to relate to, and despite their skills they never had a problem brawling. As mma develops and money and fame increases, I belive we'll begin to see far more talented fighters with less heart, less willing to give it all for the fans come fight night.
Dustin is the most entertaining lightweight fighter.
While he was hitting Conor, I got up and yelled "DIAMOND, UPSET THE WORLD RIGHT NOW!!" Still get goosebumps thinking about how exciting that was.
The fact this video is over 5 minutes says enough
If Islam wasn't holding the belt, I think Poirier would have held that belt.
I love this man, he's such a warrior and outstanding nice guy outside the cage. He helps a lot of people with his humanitarian work. God bless you Dustin, you're an aweome human being and a hell of a fighter.
Never did anything dirty, never disrespected people, always fighting the best, not giving excuses when he loses and never does a boring fight. This man is legendary. We need more.
UFC was much more better until those wrestler came
Pure class and talent, this man is one of the best to ever do it
C'Mon Dustin. Need you to show the world again why ur the best at this!!!
Wow, he just overwhelmed opponents with a barrage of punches. He was one of the best if not the best at that. And the accuracy of his punches...damn. His fights are so entertaining. His stamina is off the charts.
Bro that alvarez finish is unreal he landed a huge combo on his so fast and doged everything too
This world need true fighters like Poirier👍
I’ve rewatched DP fights more than any other fighter
LEGEND💎
One of my fav fighters. Love this guys skill will to win and character.
What a beast, what an elite fighter and a warrior.
This man deserves a lot of respect, to remain in the game he has been in for so long is a huge achievement, not to mention some of the blood soaked battles he has endured and then risen from. From what I have seen, this person is a steadfast fighter and a decent human being.
Dustin. Lets go, Never boring fight, true warrior.
I will NEVER miss a Dustin fight dude is the best of the best and always puts on a show. Fuckin love that guy
The 💎 is a fuckiing GOAT!! And definitely deserves to be in the HOF ! Without a doubt one of the key figures in ufcs popularity.
I pray he wins the title before he's done. His career deserves it.
One of the Greatest UFC fighter of all time.
What a legend 🔥
Lets go Dustin!! What a card 299 is!
One of the best resumes in the game. 💎
Cool to see the striking getting better and better
Dear UFC, all 3 of the thumbnails for this vid thusfar are equally epic and well done.
One of the best to ever do it.
Wars after wars.
💎💙
im so glad dustin getting the respect he deserves! he should go into hall of fame man hes a legend foreal
I remember watching Dustin fight at the Cajun Dome for some little fly by night promotion in Lafayette and now he’s one of the best lightweights to ever do it. Good for you sir
