I drive an E39, but this was super helpful just the same. Just removed those two T25 screws and I was able to diagnose my problem quickly... the motor is fine.

Hi! My drivers seat has failed 100% . It 2007 bmw 335xi twin turbo coupe. Motors or fuse? It slowly shut down so I think its the motors cause I tried a new switch. Your video showed me it could be the motors but no power is going to it either.
Hi, I’m about to work on bmw 430i power seat issue. The passenger side sliding back and forth isn’t working properly. On the seat that is facing driver side move a bit when I turn the switch but not on the other side facing the door. It seems motor is working unless if there are two motors. I have not remove the seat yet. So what could be the reason?
This is the exact same problem with my sisters car. I hope i dont have to take the seat out. Did you say you dont need to take the seat out if this is the motor that needs replacing ?
Are the motors all the same or are they specific to the function. I have a BMW X3 2010. What is the motor part number that you got for the replacement? I need that exact part.
these motors are easily repaired... what happens is there gets to be a filmy grime buildup on the commutator where the brushes ride.. clean them with sand paper, and its fixed.. the motor looks like u cannot take it apart but u can.. very easily. pry the tabs up on both ends, then slide the top and bottom off.
please answer me ... in my e 46 doesnt work the small circle in the right (i dont know how its really called) ... my little son was playing with that and the passager seat have change .... and it doesnt go right ... what can i do please
Ok its been awhile since i posted but i just happen to notice the motors are perpendicular to what your video shows. So now im not sure which one is the motor i need to replace.
Carl Shelton okays so they use same motors for both vertical and horizontal so find the cheapest one and install it! Make sure the shaft inside isnt damaged! Good luck!

I put a new fuse in #37 and the seat moved and all the motors. then it stopped and will not move so I changed the fuse again and still nothing. what else do I need to do to get it working? 614-625-0599 if you want to call me

Carl Shelton less than 30 dollars on ebay. I had to search around for it. Look up e46 power seat motor and your car model
