    Great shots! GR digital 1 is a beast, an all time favorite camera of mine.

      Thank you, I couldn't agree more, it's such a hidden gem, the black-and white rendering is very hard to beat 🙌

    Looks very film-like 😮

    Love these shots, I have the GR IV (10mp) how did you choose those presets at the start, was it just trial and error? I tend to just shoot aperture priority RAW and let the camera do the rest.

      Thank you for your kind comment 😎👍 You're correct the preset was trial and error. Even though this camera does shoot RAW + JPG saving to the SD card takes about 12-13 seconds per shot 😫 So this camera really is my dedicated B&W & JPG only camera.

    I prefer the camera with its original 28mm equivalent lens only. More pocketable .
    I have had my original Ricoh GR digital for a couple of years now and its in my pocket all the time.
    I bought a new Duracell battery for it recently.
    I shoot at 800 iso with the contrast up jor colour and black and white.
    The results are very film like.
    Every one comments on them

    Cracking shots once again. What's your snap focus distance setting?

    • @paulappleby2729
      @paulappleby2729  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you 👍 The snap focus distance is fixed at 2.5 meters.

      Thank you man! I bought the ricoh grd3 recently and wish I bought the original after seeing your pics. The b&W grainy output on the original looks much better in comparison.@@paulappleby2729

      Happy to help, the GRD3 is a great camera too, more modern interface and you can change the snap focus distance 😊 The GRD3 B&Ws are very good, but I agree the original has an organic and unique feel to the B&W images. I hope you can find a good working original, these things are becoming less easier to find in full working order, and slowly becoming collector's items 😩
