Longsword is really fun to play with honestly. I mained it in World and it was very satisfying. I won’t main it in Wilds but I’ll sure as hell try it out (alongside every other weapon because they all look so damn good)

People don't hate longsword, they hate longsword players lmao, especially in multiplayer. They have this permanent label since world of being either the worst, or best players in the game with no in between. And sadly in group hunts they often cause...issues.

In the early days long sword hate was because of the wide sweeping spirit slashes hitting teammates. In the social media age the hate is just a meme from egdelords who think anything "weeby" is bad

More than jjst because it's weeby, many dislike it because new players jump on this weapon and never try the others and you end up with 50% of the fanbase playing ONLY 1 weapon
But the main reason is because: they never cut the tail, since they go on the head, and they keep flinchin evey other players with every single attack.
So theb the monster get up and only LS player did damage because it flinched the 3 other players before they could land a hit
