I learnt with tools like jungle scout how to find low competition, range $20-$50 and all that, as most of people do. I think this way is less relevant nowadays because everything is likely competitive. So rather than focus on competition, even if it's still important, I think the way of research a product that you introduce here is really good. It's focus more on what customers are looking for and possibility of development rather than all about competition. This is an amazing tool which encourage to proceed even more with brand registry.

Thanks Dan. I knew brand analytics had extra information but I never had an opportunity to see behind the curtains. I plan on becoming a brand but I'm still climbing out the hole from 3 failed products. This gives me more incentive to do brand registry sooner than later. Thanks
Awesome dylan, I love that approach as you're likely to find some products which aren't being returned in all the top tools OR which are excluded on those tools because of one or two criteria inputs

I am somewhat new to FBA and would love to implement a 'keyword search terms' method to my Research Phase. I do not have a Brand Account with Amazon yet so i do not have access to Brand Analytics. Is there an alternative that you can suggest that would assist beginners like myself.

I like variety because it often means we can develop something unique and stand out more easily. When it's all very similar, then customers choose more on price or review numbers, making it harder to launch the product and sustain profits
I have to enroll in a brand on seller central first before I see the brands tab correct? That also means establishing a trademark for the brand with the govt too?

Dan great video! What approach would you take after finding a product? 1. Have the exact same product as the top seller and differentiate according to customers wants? Or 2. Find a similar product and differentiate it according to what customers want ?
That's a really good question, sometimes there's benefit in going with the same, proven top base product as we know the quality is good, but it has the downside of appearing simlilar. Both are options. If 1 I am going to differentiate a lot If 2 I am going to order samples and test them a lot If it's a product where there are often quality issues, I may well follow 1. If not, 2 is better most of the time for that visual difference and catching the wave early with that version
I use Jungle Scout and AMZScout and also Helium10, you can save if you use the links in the description as well. The main ones you see here are JS and AMZScout

Fernando, the top one you see which shows sales amounts is Jungle Scout, the lower one is AMZScout. Cheapest way is to get JungleScout chrome extension only. You can check these out in the description as well for dicsounts :) and it helps my channel
Hi Adnan, if you set up a UK limited company it will be quite straight forward to create an Amazon UK account. The requirements change but they will ask for the certificate of incorporation, primary contact person, proof of ID and proof of residence. The AMZScout one should also show but note they are still working on adding the monthly sales pop up there. You can just open the AMZScout extension to gain the exact same data in the meanwhile though. Make sure you have enabled the extension fully at the top of your browser as well. I use chrome
Hi, William. The best thing to do is to have your product first before resgitering your brand so that you will know if your product is selling or not. In that way you’re not wasting your money.
