The crazy thing is even to this day, I’ve yet to hear another band that blends in the rock and roll as tightly as they did in with the funk. You can definitely hear that Detroit rock n roll influence in their tunes. Incredible talent from every member of this band, seriously.

And btw as a RHCP fan, I'm really disappointed with the return of John. These last 2 albums were kinda boring compared to the Getaway. Anyways, you better make sure to check out all of P-Funk discography and rethink your statement afterwards.

I saw them at Hammersmith in the 70's and nothing has come close. I've been tom lots of gigs. Jamiroquai at the Jazz Cafe would be next but shit... Bootsy, George, Glenn, Michael, Junie (Ohio players!!!) Come on that is a super group

I saw Parliament at The Capitol. Don't know if it was this show, but it was around that time. Unfortunately, I only had ONE friend that would go see them with me. Could never understand it, we were all stoners. How could you be a stoner and not love P-Funk? Also saw other shows at The Cap, but as others have mentioned the quality of the preserved videos is not so great and all seem to be in B&W.
