Hemlock is handcuffed to Omega and uses her to prevent her brothers from shooting him. She points out that he can’t use her as leverage because he needs her alive, but he all he cares about is his own survival, and it’s Crosshair who shoots them apart, making sure he can’t take Omega with him. The fact that Omega’s one little tool was so instrumental to her escape is symbolic of the difference a small bit of hope can make. I think Omega will appear in Skeleton Crew. There was some image from the show of a jacket with an omega on it, and the skull was a symbol of the Bad Batch, so it might fit.
So if Crosshair got his hand tremor from Hemlocks attempts to reprogram him. Does that mean Hemlock was reprogrammed at some point too since he has same tremor? Would that explain why he so willingly followed the Emperors orders?
Star Destroyer is an Imperial I-class. Victory's are smaller with some additional conning tower bits and side hanger covers. Imperial II's don't have that big X structure above the bridge.
Exactly. When I saw that, I couldn't help but wonder who made them, what was the bidding process for the contract, were they made by the lowest bidder, etc.
The series was awesome, a side story that ends the "clone wars" on a positive note. Now we can see the end of the Empire. Season 3 was by far the strongest season of the show, with every episode being at least good. I think this season is up there with the best of the clone wars season. Great animated project and hope to see more.
The thing I love the most about this was that they all lived. It didn't go the rogue one route and kill everyone off just because they don't appear in the followup media.
I loved the finale so much, it’s exactly what we need. It ties into how Dave Filoni is looking into making a series based on Rex’s Clone rebellion, what we missed here can be filled in there. I also have a theory that we could possibly see Omega in the Ahsoka series. If she joined the rebellion, met up with Hera, then I’m sure they would agree to call on each other if they ever needed help. My timing might be off but I think Omega leaves to join the rebellion around the time rebels is taking place, so if she and Hera met up after that show and perhaps after the destruction of the second Death Star, then maybe we could see Hera call on her and Omega making an appearance in Ahsoka Season 2
The Epilogue was perfect and it would be great to see Omega in a "Where were they when" type series. Rebels, Rogue One and Andor showed us there were many Pockets of resistance across the Star Wars Galaxy. With the focus of the original trilogy being Luke/Leia/Han etc. there is lots of room to explore the adventures of Omega, Ahsoka, Mando and the role they played as the Empire squeezed his fist tight across the stars.
Small detail in the epilogue, when she sits down you can see she also brought the doll Wrecker had originally given her. Another way her brothers will always be with her!
Ryan, I gotta tell you. You do an AMAZING job covering SW and other cool series! I cannot watch any SW/Marvel stuff without checking your videos before and/or after. Thank you very much!!
Thank you for your stellar work on these recaps. I loved this finale. A special shoutout to Keisha Castle-Hughes for her performance as Emerie. I thought they were going to show Omega was at The Battle of Yavin, but I like they left it open. Was she the pilot of the U-Wing at The Battle of Scarif that dropped the reinforcements, or one of the Y-wing pilots? It doesn't really matter, what does is she gets to make her own choices.
Back in some Legends materials, the _Imperial_ I-class Star Destroyers were in development prior to the Clone Wars, and production began towards the end. The _Victory_ I-class Star Cruiser actually saw some combat near the end of the Clone Wars. The _Victory_ is smaller than the typical ISD or _Venator_ and has the large flaps on the sides to cover the missile launchers (V-I) or ion cannons (V-II) on their aft flanks.
How is Pabu safe? The Empire knows they hid there. Aren’t they further endangering the residents? What’s stopping Tarkin from showing up with the Imperial Fleet and annihilating the island with orbital bombardment? Just in case they’re there… it’s not like he minds a little collateral damage.
Those small glimpses at Techs broken googles made this season feel so much more impactful even though we lost a brother, his spirit drove the squad through impossible odds igniting another rebellion 🧠❤️
The name if this episode "The Calvary has Arrived" is also a call back to Season 7 Episode 1 of the Clone Wars where the Bad Batch very first appeared because it was the very first line that the Bad Batch said when being introduced to us. As Wrecker stepped off the ship he said, "The calvary has arrived", so the Bad Batch has truly come full circle.
I think the title is also a tribute to the first line said by the Bad Batch when they first appeared in the Clone Wars. Wrecker said "The Calvary Has Arrived!" when he walked out of their ship.
One thing I appreciated from Omega and Hunter's last conversation was that even though she wanted to join the Rebellion, she didn't ask the rest of the squad to join her. They had fought their entire lives, and if they chose to find a little peace for themselves that should be respected
"The cavalry has arrived" is what Wrecker says when the batch gets off their ship on the Clone Wars episode where they appeared for the very first time
Got chills from you bringing up where we'll see her next. Even if we don't see Omega, imagine seeing a rebel squadron calling in, and just hear "Havoc 5, standing by" with Michelle Ang's voice
I don't get expectations these days, we're beyond spoiled. This show is PITCH PERFECT, as is Andor, for example, both examples of absolute top notch Star Wars writing and execution that's leaps and bounds above some of the actual movies. What a ride indeed, this series hit all the feels, some pretty tough gut punches and a tear or two, especially this finale - from a god damned cartoon, of all things. Brilliant. Bravo. Absolutely incredible that this piece of art exists.
Thank you Screen Crush for covering the Bad Batch! (and alot of all the other shows!) You guys are awesome! Honestly these animated shows are my favorite thing about Star Wars
I found it very interesting that after Crosshair lost his right hand, he turned out to be a much better shot with his left hand rather than struggling to rehabilitate his right hand. If he had only tried switching earlier. I loved this finale. I was also concerned they were going to kill off one or all, but I think smart plotting in the episode, smart plotting throughout the series, and really putting them through the wringer this season and episode truly earned the happy ending we got. Then seeing Omega grown up made my heart happy.
I like how the Bad Batch's final episode title matches the first dialogue they ever spoke, Wrecker telling Cody "The cavalry has arrived!" as they landed on Anaxes. Gonna miss this show ❤
Such a great series and a fittingly amazing end to it. Thankyou for all your reviews and Easter suprises. I was rewatching "Solo" the other day and there is and adult around the table of the child 4 ear cat thing.
Ryan no-one, any where can break down Star Wars like you can. Thank you for the continued effort and for making this Gen X'er more Star Wars savvy as we get further and further away from George's Original Trilogy.👏
The blade operative reminded me of Tech’s helmet. It has the same large eye pieces and the camera even focuses on it before being picked up off the ground for a moment. Would have like to see more from Scorch but he couldn’t upstage Hemlock. Slightly expected to see a connection between Hemlock’s hand and Crosshair’s hand. Never noticed both until this episode. Star Wars animation is where it’s at.
One thing that this series felt like it was kind of setting up with the Captain Rex C-Plot was the Clone Rebellion from the Battlefront games. I was really hoping that we'd see Rex plus a decent contingent of clones arrive at the climax to lend an assist and transport off the freed captive clones. Also would have been nice to see Rex and Wolf meet again after Wolf fully commits to Rex's plan.
Yeah, I don't think they all had potential, just the baby. But, then again they were all there for a reason, so at some point they all showed some kind of potential that caught the attention of the bounty hunters.
4:30 "Echo and Karr, who I would ship if they weren't technically brother and sister" i cackled because i thought of that too at the end scene when she left with him then i realised their related and its cloncest
I have a huge theory in what might happen with Omega, I think she will appear in the Filoni movie, his been building up Thrawns return and I hope he has old records of Tantis and sets up base there (like in legends), the New Republic have nothing on Tantis or where it is, I imagine almost all or most clones would be dead by this time as much as I hate to say it, leading to Omega being the only one with the information the New Republic would need to get to Thrawn
Unless it's an animated thing that is an Imperial class. Victorys had "wings" on their sides. That has the cut outs that make it look more like a I class Imp destroyer. Though it looks small in front of the two clone era ships.
I did too though someone was going to die but I'm glad they didn't I loved thank you Ruan for best 3 years of covering bad batch I will really miss this shoe I hope omega get her own show or shows up future show

Season 3 was by far the strongest season of the show, with every episode being at least good. I think this season is up there with the best of the clone wars season. Great animated project and hope to see more.
Great job covering the show for the last 3 years Ryan. Keep up the great work!
Great run down Ryan. This was probably my favorite episode. As a retired soldier with two daughters now serving, this episode hit home.
i hope at somepoint be it in a show, comic or novel omega gets to meet boba, be nice to have her meet her unaltered brother
"the cavalry has arrived" It is the first dialogue of squad 99
I was half hoping for Tech to be the swordy boi given the glasses-look the helmet had, but then Wrecker happened.
As melancholy as the end of The Bad Batch is making me, I'm equally going to miss these recaps. Thanks for all you do, Ryan & team.
The intro also has a black and white logo, resembling their suits.
This honestly was a gem of series. I wasn't this satisfied since season 1 of The Mandalorian
I thought so too when the assassin said to omega she shouldn't have been here in the first place, I thought they will bombard pabu when they leave.
Hemlocks clones are blatently either Imperial guard or even the Knights of Ren...
Maybe the tech was used for that but the clones wouldn't live that long.
Phenomenal series filled with action, tension, real emotion, great storytelling, and actual continuity.
14:52 yes, I rewound to watch it again, gave me goosebumps
I think the title is also a tribute to the first line said by the Bad Batch when they first appeared in the Clone Wars. Wrecker said "The Calvary Has Arrived!" when he walked out of their ship.
One thing I appreciated from Omega and Hunter's last conversation was that even though she wanted to join the Rebellion, she didn't ask the rest of the squad to join her. They had fought their entire lives, and if they chose to find a little peace for themselves that should be respected
"The cavalry has arrived" is what Wrecker says when the batch gets off their ship on the Clone Wars episode where they appeared for the very first time
Loved the show! Loved the finale. The show grew on me, as did Omega.
I ship echo with Karr they look like they’re getting ready to start a family of their own if they keep teaming up for their own series.
I was starting to get that vibe as well
they're siblings
bro their related💀
@@vector246 think of them as Smurfs or 625 experiments who can identify their own differences choices rather seeing each other as siblings.
@@disneyknightspadilla1406 its incestral, unless dr emerie is actually not a fett clone but a clone of sm1 else
when the show ended and the video stopped I had a tear out of my eye this show and clone wars was my childhood and i will miss it.
Gonna miss this series. Very interested to see what is next.
Got chills from you bringing up where we'll see her next. Even if we don't see Omega, imagine seeing a rebel squadron calling in, and just hear "Havoc 5, standing by" with Michelle Ang's voice
when Sp-32 (green-skinned boy) straps on his back the baby for escape reminded me of Luke with Yoda on his back training
Love your tribute to Hunter with the headband. Plus loving Willy Nelson Hunter
I may have teared up a little halfway through the episode... it ABSOLUTELY felt like it was the end at that point!
I 100% thought someone was going to die when they got captured, and was pissed. Amazing show!!!!!
15:03 It's a standard Imperial Star Destroyer - though chronologically it's the first time in the new canon one has been been seen.
The Calvary Has arrived is reference to the first line from Bad Batch first introduction by Wrecker
I love this show. Ended well too. Thanks for the analysis
10:20 That is a whipcord. Grappling hooks are an ascension cable.
Techs death now officially means something, I love how now it means a lot
I feel like, of the kids, we see the baby is the strongest with the force. So the baby actually knew to cry to help Omega
Yeah, I don't think they all had potential, just the baby. But, then again they were all there for a reason, so at some point they all showed some kind of potential that caught the attention of the bounty hunters.
4:30 "Echo and Karr, who I would ship if they weren't technically brother and sister"
i cackled because i thought of that too at the end scene when she left with him then i realised their related and its cloncest
Wow, it feels weird that one my favorite story arcs from since my childhood have finally completely ended.
Good show. Ended it perfectly. I kinda wanna start all over and binge watch it all over again.
Thank you for covering EVERY episode of this show. You did a great job
I think we needed this wholesome ending. Every other character that theyve made a show about we already know there fate
I did too though someone was going to die but I'm glad they didn't I loved thank you Ruan for best 3 years of covering bad batch I will really miss this shoe I hope omega get her own show or shows up future show
Dave really knows how to write a show, this proves it all over again.
Plus they tease Clone Wars Season 8 and do all the Legacy stories that weren't release yet
This series will hold a special place in my heart with this get second place for Star Wars animated show and number one will always be clones wars
