Excellent video. I believe I will give this version of a Allstar node a go. I have built several others (not using a CM108 or baofeng 888). This will be a challenge, but that is what it's all about.

A very helpful video thanks for sharing, can you explain how you send *B1 from the uv5r do have to program that in using the chirp software as there’s no way to send a B on the front of the radio, then once that’s done go in and enable it from the menu in the radio when you want to send the shut down command ?
