In your van what is in front of the demo tie down you did? It looks like some kids powerwheel things but it almost looks like they are on some kind of a lift system to get them out of the way (reminds me of an RV bed lift that some of the toyhaulers have)?
Those are my scratch-built Power Racing Series electric go-karts (th-cam.com/video/9pErtFqmCW8/w-d-xo.html). And yeah, they're really heavy, and I use straps to secure them in place when I drive around, otherwise they're liable to dent the van from rolling around inside. I have Harbor Freight ramps to load them in and out. 🏎💨

And they work how? Are they really tight the whole ride or do they leave some slack after driving a few kilometers?
You use the handle to ratchet them down, the retractable part is just for rolling them up when you're done
They still are expensive.
