- Part 19 of a video walkthrough for Nancy Drew: Shadow at the Water's Edge. In this part, Nancy shows off the various Suki commands. She then gets trapped in Room 33 and has to escape through the balcony. Also, she grades homework!

I am colorblind, and this puzzle IS! SO! HARD! I've tried at least 10 times ): Time to try again.
I literally had ONE MORE SPACE TO FILL and ran out of time. I had to step away from the computer for a bit.

That door lock puzzle was such a pain!
Thankfully, I've found a way to cheat and make it more bearable.
This will only work with the Steam version, though.
Firstly, take a screenshot of the completed lock from this video (Thanks, arglefumph!), then post it to your Steam gallery for reference in-game.
Before going into that room, bring up the Steam hud (shift + tab) and go to your profile page and bring up the puzzle screenshot from your gallery.
As you're doing the puzzle, you'll want to pause your game by clicking on either the save or load icon; this will effectively pause your game but you'll be able to see which spaces still need filling in. By pausing, you're not wasting time trying to figure out which spaces to fill in.
Compare your progress to the screenshot when the game's paused and you'll get through it a lot quicker!
Personally, it helped me to imagine the puzzle as a multi-colored pizza pie and I had to make sure the toppings matched on each slice. So pick a set of toppings you want to do first; and I do recommend doing the smaller ones first because they're harder to see and click on once the biggest are filled.

My friend and I made this idea up where if Nancy had a chain saw it would make things soooo much easier!! Yep, she could use a chain saw here.

@arglefumph Hey Michael, random fact: I was looking up the meanings of some of the Japanese names in this game for fun and the one that stood out to me was Fumiko. Why? Well, Fumiko's name means: Literary or scholarly child. So it's no wonder she's our star student! :D

Weird...I don't get the oyatsu or tate koi command. And mawari (spin) was a weird action too...oh well. Suki's still cute.
XD I got the 'booru wa' one...booru is ball and Suki spat up a hairball. Matte makes her wait. That's what it means in Japanese--asking someone to wait, or to stop doing something.
That was a pretty mosaic puzzle--good job! It'd be easier to admire its beauty if a ghost hadn't trapped you in a room huh....creepy.

The first time I got into room 33, it scared me so bad, I couldn't solve the puzzle in time. The second time I got trapped, I had to mute my computer t focus. :P

@RandomStrawberries The slamming noises I think are the zombie-ghost thing trying to break into your door. If you run out of a time this box-thing falls on you...and of course Nancy gasps.

When I solved the color/door puzzle, I had to turn off the volume because the banging and creepy music freaked me out and I would make mistakes XD
while I was doing that balcony door puzzle, plank fell on me... I was like WHAAAT?!??!

I can't remember if I already said this on another video, but the reason why Suki wouldn't respond to the commands before is because you'd said "mate" to her, so she was out of her normal mode (and wouldn't attack you) :)
Ok. She's in room four. Something to do with Death. Her Name is now painted in red, another sign of harm and bad intentions. Her bed is also red. Scary much?
Okay, I've noticed that when you get trapped in room 33, you have an infinite amount of time to stand around and do nothing, and when you click on the puzzle, you have, like five minutes to complete the puzzle. Maybe because the plank is right above the balcony door, but still.
What in the world!? I did this puzzle way faster than that and still died every time.
I can never get past the part where I have to put the colors in...

@bdethunderbolt If you preordered the game you get a special edition game with more commands for Suki and games on Nancy's phone, I'm assuming Michael has the special edition one and you have the normal one.

When I played this game, and got to this part, me and my sister heard fire. Is that normal??? Well if you guys think this is scary, you might want to close ur eyes when Mike finds the 2nd bath and he finishes the ULTIMATE PUZZLE, the one that looks like a fox in the end. Good luck!!!! :-) ;-) XD

@kairichan1990 actually... shoji doors have wooden spines (?) that are really small... Unless she breaks the wood, she can't go out... Unless she has super powers... XD
ok this one is kinda hard cuz if u take to long a wooden plank will fall on your head so be careful

This is where i got stuck in the game. For the life of me I couldn't get the door open quick enough. I blame a crappy mouse. XD

that puzzle is so hard does anyone know how much time we have to finish the puzzle? could anyone give me some hints and/or tips please i can't get past the puzzle!

im always stuck there ill finish the whole puzzle nd I keeps saying tht I got it wrong -.- but when I check my cheat sheets it says I got it right nd till this day im still trying solve tht one

This is the worst puzzle in the entire world when you're color-blind and the blue and the purple look exactly the same. :( Seriously, they both look exactly the same to me. So the only way I could solve it was to watch this video and copy him step-by-step. :P

Halp! I got past the mirror image puzzle where the ghost locks you in the room but i never got a red note in my room and the game won't prgress at all. Whaddo i doooo!!!
