THE TUMOR follows the present day experience of the fictional patient Paul, an otherwise healthy 35-year-old father who is diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor. Grisham takes readers through a detailed account of Paul’s treatment and his family’s experience that doesn’t end as we would hope. Grisham then explores an alternate future, where Paul is diagnosed with the same brain tumor at the same age, but in the year 2025, when a treatment called focused ultrasound is able to extend his life expectancy.
Focused ultrasound has the potential to treat not just brain tumors, but many other disorders, including Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, hypertension, and prostate, breast and pancreatic cancer.

I appreciate the efforts, concerns and financial contributions made to this cause by John Grisham. What could he possibly gain by finding a way to educate us about a procedure that would improve the quality of lives of those who have no hope.The book is free. I feel that those who have been critical of his involvement with this endeavor are probably those who would be critical of much worthwhile knowledge. Thank you Mr Grisham Jennifer, (friend of Parker)
I do also realize this is a request for money, but it is also a book of hope, possibly in the near future. I have never heard of this potential treatment and I found it amazing and certainly miraculous . I will save this little ( hugely important) book and if I ever know anyone who could possibly benefit from this, I will surely let them know. This is surely hope. Thank you and be safe. God bless. Love to see authors branch out from their usual types of writing! I myself have published a few books, and like to dabble in a couple of different genres.
I appreciate John making this video possible thru his participation. The Foundation is located where John and his wife live. Who wouldn't want to share promising medical information which is being coordinated locally but offers benefits globally.

My child died from a meningioma. I took care of an old friend while he was dying from a glioblastoma.
This is not a novel, or even a good short story. It is an infomercial and a solicitation for donations.
And, let's hope, for your sake: you, or no one you love ever needs this treatment.
I'm very grateful, as any decent person would be, to Grisham for doing this. Of course he made no money from it, it being an 'infomercial' (but certainly NOT a solicitation for donations), yet he put the time and energy into the research for this work.
Because of what he has done here, I'm certain quite a few people ....knowing how popular his works are .... perhaps several thousand people ....will have improved lives because they know this now. Some may even be cured of what was up til then a fatal disease.
Mr. Grisham is to be commended for this and anyone who criticizes this works deserves any bad thing that would happen to them.

“Emperor of All Maladies” audiobook is better….
I loved hearing John's voice in the beginning, but I can't take the ROBOT's voice just after a few of her words. YUK!!! So, it's a thumbs down for this video for me!!!!
They musta fixed that robot. ...sounds like a real lady mow.
