As part of the Mountain Bridge Wilderness Area, Wildcat Wayside Park was once one of a six roadside parks created by the National Park Service throughout South Carolina in the 1920’s. Showcasing Wildcat Falls three separate waterfalls totaling 140-ft high, visitors can spend an afternoon walking the parks family friendly 1.0 mile trail loop while exploring the southern end of the Mountain Bridge Wilderness Area. This is a popular swimming hole during the summer months so make sure to plan your visit in the early morning or late afternoon to find a parking spot.
