The way javed akhtar describes abstract things is so simple objective and so different. No surprise why he is a legend and a masterpiece. ❤
I believe his work in polyphonic music is truly remarkable, especially in how he seamlessly combines elements from Eastern, Western, Northern, and Southern traditions. He blends these diverse influences so effortlessly that you don’t even consciously notice the transitions. This is beautifully described by Mr. Javed with the TREE vs LADDER metaphor, where the tree represents multidimensional growth and the ladder symbolizes a unidimensional path. This distinction places A.R. Rahman in the category of a super genius!

It's been long time waiting to hear from Javed Akther of his experience with A R Rahman
Aamir was not on his prime when this film was released.. he had hatrick flops before this one.. the trailers were normal.. mood was set for period drama.. the cricket thing was hidden... but we went for first day first show.. theatre was only half full.. I dont know what to say, but the surprises and theatre experience we had in it was amazing.. for me, lagan is their best work for all those who were part of it to date

Yet another legend Javed Akthar ji well described ARR...The phrases he use is mind-blowing maybe its romantic or devotional or qawwali...As far as Lagaan album is concerned brilliant composition all songs are superb...I still remember when i watched the trailer, i told my brother to bring the cassette, he brought, when he played he told what kind of music is this??? then i used to play daily then he felt the hidden magic in the songs/music...

Additionally, films like "Zubeidaa," "1947 Earth," and "Pukar" should be covered from Javed Akhtar's perspective. Including behind-the-scenes information and anecdotes would add great value.
Exploring his approach to films like "Boss," "Swades," and "Jodhaa Akbar" would also be fascinating. Moreover, I would like to ask why the music of "Mili" didn't have the expected impact despite the combination of A.R. Rahman and Javed Akhtar. How does he see A.R. Rahman's evolution, and what should we expect from their upcoming film, "1947 Lahore"?

Mere pass Rahman hai
Mr. Rahman is a remarkable fusion creator mostly influenced by classical Indian and European genres. I don't agree with the leder and tree statement from Mr.Javed Akhtar because you can find similarity between Rahman's tunes and the way he uses bass lines with the percussion in his composition. Most of his string ensembles are smartly copied from the European's renowned composers.
Agar, LAGAAN is not success that year AMIR is no more here in Bollywood.... Bcoz, He already failed two pics he produced. In Hindi Amir, In Tamil Kamal Hasan & In Malayalam Mohanlal is only dedicated to Film Industry in India ❤️❤️❤️
