Family is everything for elephants. Khanysia is very lucky to have such a loving, protective family who come running when she gets scared. Even if it was just an impala! That’ll teach them to scare our Princess. We love you, Khanysia and your herd mates. ❤️
Oh my, what a commotion! The loving protection is beautiful to see. The dry, bleak countryside breaks the heart as they forage for food. Praying for rain for you❤ 💙🐘💙

I’m so intrigued by these beautiful animals ❤️🐘❤️, thanks you so very much for these videos. My dream is to encounter one of these beautiful elephants 🥰
@@RMBRN11 I think some of us were just being playful with our remarks. I'm sure we all are amazed at the close knit community and protectiveness of the elephant herd for their smallest member.
I LOVE the trumpets of the beautiful giants "The Elephants" to me their trumpet sound is so sacre and beautiful it sends such a beautiful sensation through my body when I hear their trumpets, these beautiful gentle giants really are sacre to their country, they should be treated with thy upmost respect throughtout their country Africa, just to hear their sacre trumpeting, it makes me feel great and everything will be alright, I love how they really look out for each other, and that is the greatest feeling for me, especially for little baby Khanyisa she's been through a lot since she was just an little itty bitty baby, now she's surrounded with all the love from the Herd and her Human family. She knows she's loved by all, and that she's never alone, she's got her family around her God bless her, and God bless these beautiful elephants and all the cares. 😊
Little Khanyisa afraid of an impala, she is not yet aware of her size, or maybe is she acting like "the little one" ? 😇 Very soon everything returns to normal, sand bath 😊 And still not a cloud in sight 😞 ❤🐘❤🐘❤

Elephants are Queens and Kings of the jungle. That noise and stampede would scare off every other living thing. If only humans took such good care of their young!
Oh dear. How many mothers or fathers do you know who wouldnt drop everything and run if their child scream? I know on none. Not one. Yes children are harmed by a minority of parents/step parents. Wow 😲 that was a lot of trumpeting. The Herd 🐘 comes running to make sure Khaynisa 🐘 is ok. Khaynisa 🐘 is so well protected by her HERD family 🐘 as they all come running to see what the problem is for our little pink princess 🐘. It is amazing to see this. The family's devotion and protection of one another is so heartwarming. Now a days in the human world if someone cries out (or not) for help, people look and walk by. Trees not only provide food and shade, they make great body scratchers. Loved seeing the family, especially majestic Fishan...
Owen, they surly mean business when there is a threat. I’ve seen it before, but not as intense as this one. What a wonderful family of beautiful souls. That have grown into a very tight unit. I’m sure if they thought one of the carers were in danger they would protect you all also. Bless Khanyisa, from the tragic snare, To now being fully protected. I think there is more to Khanyisa's trumpeting... 0:51 and the key word Owen used here is that the impala were "RUNNING"... Khanyisa knows impala...I am sure she has seen them before...but the fact that they themselves seem to have been in a panic... I think it may have been a predator scare... which legitimately would have put her in danger too... There are lion roaming wild there... and impala don't run as a herd unless they have been stalked and are being chased... What is more, is that it was not just an 'alarm call'... You can hear the lower decibel rumbles of conversation going on in the middle of it all too...as if to talk 'what it was' and 'strategy'... LOL

Poor little girl! She almost got run over by an impala (which, in North America, was a car model from GM) . If only people displayed the same compassion as elephants....
That was full of excitement and adrenaline. The protectiveness of the ellies, especially for their young member, is truly remarkable. Poor, Khanyisa getting startled and getting a fright from a running impala, and the whole battalion came to the rescue. Kumbura really looked distressed. She also had a fright of her younger sister's condition. Their trumpeting is just one of their iconic features. Even Sebakwe and Jabulani were on protective father mode. I really love these beautiful beings. There is really so much that can be learned from them, especially when it comes to family. Thank you for being our correspondent today, Owen. God Bless HERD Forever.🙏🐘❤
It’s truly heartwarming to see their strong protective instincts in action. Elephants are remarkable in their ability to care for and protect each other, and especially when it comes to the younger herd members. Take care.
❤i have a question: Is it rare that a herd of mainly unrelated elephants are more protective than a “natural” herd? i’ve unfortunately seen videos of young ones being rejected. i know almost all animals do it. This herd is so protective. they are amazing.
Wowzer! That is loud! They certainly respond quickly! So wonderful to see how the females show up to protect her. Oh ya...my morning fix! Coffee and ellies! Ellies are so absolutely amazing! Oh...how I wish I was younger to be able to do anything at a preserve like HERD! Thank you again as always for these insights into the herd's dynamics
@herdelephantorphanage I can't start my day without my "ellie fix"! Lol! Of course coffee has to at hand as well! Praying for rain for your part of the world. We have somewhat drought conditions here in central PA in the US. Burn bans all over. Blessings to all of you at HERD! You always make my day!
Oh no you again alone Khanyisa 💖😘🤗🐘. The family bond of the Elephants 🐘 🐘 is so strong among them all. Beautiful to see the entire family run to the aid of their young one baby Khanyisa. She’s not a baby any more but for me she will always be. I remember the First day when Adine stared working with Khanyisa so fragile, young and look at het now big and strong. Thank you Adine and all staff involve for the beautiful job caring for this precious ♥️🐘💖🐘♥️💖♥️💖🤗💖🤗💖😘♥️😘💖🤗.
Holy Toledo! That was some intense trumpeting! When Khanyisa calls for back up, those Elephants come running. No delay whatsoever. ❤
Khanyisa pressing the red panic button, calling in the cavalry and for what - a lion, a leopard, a rhino or hippo, a snake? no, an impala.

Take care.
What a dramatic scene! No fear all the elephants band together to scare off the impala...takes a village to raise little ones!!!❤❤❤
❤i have a question: Is it rare that a herd of mainly unrelated elephants are more protective than a “natural” herd? i’ve unfortunately seen videos of young ones being rejected. i know almost all animals do it. This herd is so protective. they are amazing.
It's OK little pink family is here now your safe and sound ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ don't be scared ❤❤
This video is amazing…Thank You for sharing…🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘
Hope Khanyisa learned something from that: don’t wander off too far!
♥️♥️♥️♥️🐘🐘🐘💯💯😘😘😘🙏🙏🙏🐘🐘
Begging the gods to send you rain. This must be the worst few years ever for ZA.
I love elephant society where you are never alone.
The elephant community is wonderful, people would do well to follow their care for their family members. 0:15
We appreciate you joining us for your morning fix of elephants!
That's a serious situation 😮😢❤
Remember last year when She was feeding alone with only Mambo to protect her? He left her, she became frightened and this happened then, also.
