    You're the BEST. Your tutorials are really very usefull each time !!!!! Because it's really what we want to make a real gameplay. Your tuto with grenades is extra too ! I search many things (like a water effect on eyes on vr) but it's really helpful and i understand the mechanisms with your explications. Same thing for your miniatures, easilly recognisables on youtube.
    You think it's possible to transform a character like that with a collectible ? Or to activate / desactivate fireball in your precedent video to activate this ability with a collectible item ?

      Thank you so much! Also, do you speak French by any chance?Et bien sur! C'est vraiment possible d'activé le transformation ou le fireball avec un objet/collectible. Crée une variable (nommé Fireball Unlock, par exemple) avec la valeur minimum 0 et maximum 1 (0 est Faux, 1 est Vrai). Par défaut, mettre à zéro (normallement c'est desactivé). Alors, dans l'object crée un tag (nommé Unlocker, peut-etre). Dans ton Puppet crée un triggerzone qui détecte cet tag. Lorsqu'il est détecté par le triggerzone, activé un Variable Modifier qui SET la valeur de Fireball Unlock à 1 (Vrai). Et puis, connecté une Calculator à la valeur de Fireball Unlock a l'input A. Changé la valeur d'input B à 1 et la function de Calculator à Equals. Donc, quand la valeur est 1 le output de la Calculator peut activé un Keyframe ou un Selector qui activé fireball :D

Maintenant que j'ai bien pris mes marques sur Dreams, je comprends bien tout ce que tu m'as dit. Je vais noter tout ça et faire des essais pour mon personnage (je lui ai mis fireball, et je lui ai accroché une lampe torche au ventre, pour éclairer dans des endroits sombres).
      Je bosse clairement sur un platformer3d type Mario depuis 2 mois, c'est du très très lourd, ce sra un jeu complet. Je passe mes nuits complètes dessus. J'ai hâte de pouvoir te montrer comment ça a avancé. Mais je le posterais pas tant qu'il sera pas complet (10 niveaux + des boss). I work on th Boss fight. THANK YOUUUU

    I’m currently having trouble so I had it so the transformation changes the chargers size to simplify it but once the time line finishes it reverts to its base size and this is with keep changes on I know as the colour of the character also changes

      Try increasing the size of the keyframe until it goes past the end of the timeline. 🤓 And make sure nothing makes the timeline rewind or play again. Another fix might be to emit a large version at the very end of the timeline 🤔

    I might've missed it but how do you change back to your original form/ have a timer run-out revert type thing

      So you have 4 puppets. The original puppet, the small puppet, the super puppet and then a clone of the original puppet. The original puppet can emit either the small puppet or transform into the super puppet. The small puppet can revert to the original puppet by emitting the clone of the original puppet. The super puppet can revert to the original puppet with a keyframe that changes back the necessary colour and move speed. You can easily link up the emitters and keyframes to a timer or button press! :D

    I have a question? Is it possible if I use the transformation technique to change different kinds of abilities?
    Like, fire, ice, earth, slowdown time, etc. Because I thought if I could use all of the abilities from your ability tutorial playlist to make a puppet with tons of techniques

      Yo mate, you absolutely could. All you'd need to do is make a certain button change which skillet you are using. I suggest checking out my Stance Change ability guide as it shows you how to make multiple different attacks and attack styles with one weapon (Ghost of Tsushima style).
      It's kinda like press R2 and square to go into water style, and R2 and triangle to go into fire style. And in each style the square button does something different (water attack, fire attack, etc.)

    How do you assign a button for each character you transform into? Like say instead of using one button to cycle through your characters. You have a different button for each character. Is that an easy fix?

      Hey mate, that would be easy peasy! You could make up on the d-pad transform you into character 1, then right could be character 2, etc. You would just need an emitter/timeline attached to each button press on each character 🤓
      Maybe check out my stance change ability guide to see how I use multiple button pressed to switch between attack stances. 🤓

    Does this mostly work with blank puppets bc I used a eren Yeager puppet and his Titan but I don’t seem to get the same results?

      It should work with any puppet if you add all the logic in 🤔 hmm. Is it that you can't change to the titan form or that you can't change back? 🤔

    Hey bro, this doesn't seem to work anymore, for some reason, when I try and make the switch back, it makes both characters invisible! Please make another updated video as I love the format and how you make them!!

      Hey mate, sorry to hear it isn't working! How strange, cuz it still seems to be working for me. Maybe check out my transform ability guide on Dreams: indreams.me/scene/dsasBTbqNPH
      Remember also that you need to copy the untransformed character (let's call them Goku to save time, lol).
      So you have like Goku (Base) and Goku (SS). You copy the base form. So then you have Goku (Base) and Goku (Base #2). Then you make it so that Goku (Base) emits Goku (SS). Then Goku (SS) emits Goku (Base #2). So the original Goku (Base) is never emitted. Otherwise if they emitted each other they would both be invisible unemitted objects :D

    Quick question I’m making a boxing game and I have Jab as square and straight as triangle I’m wondering how I make an uppercut triangle+square I already tried an and gate but it just plays the jab instead of uppercut any ideas?

      You might want to use an exclusive gate in front of all of your various abilities so that only one can happen at a time. Doing that, while giving the combo attacks (triangle AND square) a higher priority could solve the issue you’re having. :)

      I love boxing! If you wanted it to be done with two buttons pressed simultaneously, then Vince's Exclusive Gate is the way. Otherwise, check out my video: Let's Make a 2D Fighter Part 5 Super Moves, and that'll show you how to switch attack modes with a button press. Or a totally different idea would be to use a different Control Scheme entirely. Not sure if you've ever heard of the Fight Night game franchise (if you have, woohoo!) but they use the right analog for their attacks. You could make up on the analog your jabs, left on the analog your straight, right on the analog your hook and down on the analog your uppercut. Just as an idea, you can google Fight Night Champion control scheme to get an idea, although there's is pretty intense, with like 20 different punches based on a subtle angle of the analog. :D

      meanlad thanks both of these could work in my game and I might use them but since I’m basically finished with the main characters logic I’ve been having trouble with the ai all I have is a follower, minimum range on it and a look at rotator I have absolutely no idea on what to do for the attacks or how to signal when to attack and when to block was wondering if you knew anything to help with that problem

      @@jinsakai7633 AI can be tricky if you want it to be crazy dynamic. But, you can always use the old school arcade system of making enemies have attack patterns. So they might do jab jab straight followed by a pause and then an uppercut. Or they might do a jab, a block and then an uppercut. You could make let's say 10 different patterns, or more and attach them to a randomiser so that your enemy varies between these attack patterns. Some could be more offensive, others could be more defensive. And you could make it so that when they get hit by an attack it triggers a hit reaction timeline that would override the randomiser for a few seconds before starting with the attack patterns again. You could have several different randomisers. Like an offensive one, with more offensive patterns, a defensive one with defensive patterns. And these could be triggered at different times using the ai's current HP. So, certain enemies might become more defensive at low HP or might be more offensive. In this way you could vary the style of different enemy boxers. :D

      Hey mate, sure! All you would have to do is make it so that your walk/run speed was equal to zero. Go to your puppet's tweak menu by pressing L1 and square on the puppet and then set its walk speed to zero and it's run speed to zero. 🙌🏻

      Have you played my game Grove Zero Tower Defense? My one character,
      Shadow, has a teleport move. Cuz are you thinking a short range teleportation where you would tp wherever your character is facing (like a blink) or a long range one, almost like a fast travel system?

    I really don't understand ... nothing I do makes the puppets move the way I want ... litteraly can't even make them pull an arm up like charging up it just moves the entire arm no matter where I grab .... this is rediculous

      Are you wanting to move only part of it, like the hand? 🤓 If it's moving the whole puppet at once try pressing L1 and X to scope into the puppet so that you can move individual parts of the puppet instead of the whole thing 🤓

      @@meanlad legend for replying bro ...and I'm trying to do like what you did .. bend the arm in the middle doing a power up position .... I think I might have just figured it out thinking about it again ... do you use rotate when trying to get the bend perfect? When I try and bend the arm it just moves as a whole ... I will have to try rotating (if I didn't already) and see if that's maybe where I'm making the mistake

      Hmm, it sounds to me like you've got it 🤩 when you move a connected body part with R2 it sorta has a priority list. So if other parts of the body have been moved first (like the hand), the arm won't move because the hand position has priority. So I would deanimate the whole arm and try moving it with L2 like you said 😎
      It also helps to move from the inside-out. By this I mean start with the upper arm, then the forearm and finally the hand (using L2 to rotate each of them). This way has more control and prevents joint locking 🤩🙌🏻

    Weird question: let’s say i want my character to unlock the transformations, like if the player needs to talk with a certain npc to unlock said ability, how could i do that? Also how can i put a timer to that transformation

      Easy peasy! To unlock the transformation create a variable (call it Transform Unlock or something). Make its min value 0 and max value 1. By default it'll be set to 0. Add a calculator that checks if the value of the variable is 1, and if it is 1 make it power the transform timeline/microchip (connect it to an AND gate along with the button you want to use to transform). To unlock it you would need to add a variable modifier to the NPC that makes it set Transform Unlock to 1 when you speak to them.
      As for a timer. Check out my ability cooldown video on my channel 😁👍

    Hi can you make another tutorial with no animations at all? Im talking about just transforming into another puppet without animating anything. Just a very very simple transformation. Could you go slower? I'm a beginner and not that fast with clicking on buttons and not familiar with everything. I need to transform into 4 different characters. I don't need any animations. If you could make a tutorial I would appreciate it greatly.

      Hmm, it could be that a keyframe is making them invisible 🤔 maybe try deleting any keyframes and starting that section again or otherwise checking the viability settings on your puppet and puppet group 🤓

      Totally, you could make some really long thin cylinders in sculpt mode. Change their colour to red, set their glow to quite high (experiment with this but probably more than 20%). Then you could have an emitter or two that emits the shiny cylinders from your head and woop woop you've got laser eyes :D But if I ever get around to making a superman vid, I shall post it here XD
