      @DanielCrist 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It seems like he did. The video shows a shot of someone handing the finished prototype to Logan Paul (right before the sponsor ad-break) and it doesn't look like a photoshopped mock-up - the color and lighting just match perfectly. I think he's just trying to build up hype and get as many views possible on this video before he releases the reaction video, which will likely gain just as many views.

    • @jayframe929
      @jayframe929 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@DanielCrist no way you think that clip is real hahaha

    • @DanielCrist
      @DanielCrist ปีที่แล้ว +6

      @@jayframe929 I did until your comment. Frankly, by analyzing a still frame, there's simply no evidence to suggest that this was a masked layer. Looking at a still alone it looks better than the product of most major film studios. The lighting, color balance, temperature and resolution are a perfect match. The edges of Joel's face have been done so well that I don't anyone could find any evidence that they were overlayed onto an existing video. I meant the feathering of the edges and the digital artifacts present have been so masterfully replicated to how a real video should look. His hand and toaster are harder to tell,, because they are further away from the camera, but still there is some natural feathering and bleed at the edges that make it look like a natural part of the video, so he must have done some compression after he finished overlaying himself to get those layers to artificially interact with each other and smoothen out.
      However, my mistake was in simply examining a couple of stills. If I had watched the video play itself through a couple of times, there is an obvious flicker of the hand and toaster towards the end, and some wonky tracking movement as well. It seems like such silly slip-ups after all the careful work that went into lighting management, color and temperature correction, resolution matching, and really careful work bleeding and feathering the edges so that there are no sharp outlines.
      Like, how do you mess up at the final few states after putting shop much effort into getting all of the rest right?
      Anyway, point taken. While I was busy counting pixels, you simply pressed play and noticed the hand and toaster just completely vanish out of existence only to reappear a half second later.

    Hey I have a suggestion.
    Look into ITO-coated glass. Indium Tin Oxide. It's a transparent plate of glass that's electrically conductive *but* can also get heated up pretty hot. Instead of a coil with an air gap, you could put the hot plate flat against the glass and also be able to see when the toast is ready directly. More compact, safer, easier to use.

    • @alekso56
      @alekso56 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@wtechboy18 you are talking about led panels, window heaters and lens assemblies, sure, these are used to maintain a specific temperature, but never more than 10c+- from ambient.
      im more worried about the thermal stress of heating the glass repeatedly to 400++C ,way above the degradation for the sputtered metal.
      Your toast would be filled with indium on every toast. if anything like this would be attempted, there should be glass on top of the ITO, but FTO is probably better in this case, more thermally stable. (Fluorine Doped Tin Oxide) (one sided glass is also acceptable, assuming no rapid cooldown occurs,ever)

    I work at an engineering company that does pretty much just that: bring people's ideas to life.
    The very 1st part of the process is determining if the concept itself is viable or not, at which price point it's expected to come out, or if we even have technology, or heck even can (or should) legally do what the client wants. Often the clients come out with ideas that you basically have no way of viably selling it, or a few show up with crazy stuff you really have to convince the client that this shouldn't exist in a world where we value our lives. But then there's several ideas that will get made and it's quite fun to see all the stuff people come up with, often quite simple ideas that they just had no way of doing themselves.

    I get up in the morning 'bout six A. M
    Have a little jelly have a little jam
    Take a piece of bread put it in the slot
    Push down the lever and the wires get hot
    I get toast
    Yeah toast!
    Yeah toast!
    Now there's no secret to toasting perfection
    There's a dial on the side then you make your selection
    Push to the dark or the light and then
    If it pops too soon press down again
    Make toast
    Yeah toast!
    Yeah toast!
    When the first caveman drove in from the dregs
    Didn't know what would go with the bacon and the eggs
    Must've been a genius got it in his head
    Plug the toaster in the wall buy a bag of bread make toast
    Yeah toast!
    Uh toast?
    Oui monsieur bonjour croquette
    Uh huh croissant et vous et ver
    Maurice Chevalier Eiffel Tower
    Oui Marie baguette bonsoir
    French toast!
    French toast!
    In Chicago or on the Bob And Tom Show
    Yeah toast!
    Good on ya'
    Toast

      "Monster" a bit too far, no? There are murderers, rapists all kind of terrible human beings out there. Filming dead human being wasn't great idea but it seems that he himself killed that man by how public went at him. Go fkin look what US soldiers did to civilians in east & what is happening now in Ukraine. Ye he was stupid young rich guy who made a mistake but to call him monster for that, for just filming sth? People always mentioning about him laughing but who watched his videos back then knew that was his coping mechanism (laughing, making joke) in terrible situations. Some of you people need to let it go.

No. But that doesn’t change the fact that if we don’t call him a monster in that one moment, we all will be doomed to forget, and it will inevitably be repeated.

    Ok so next the backpack toaster… double sided with a an obvious butter holder… probably like a pez dispenser also so you get perfect cuts of butter each time……. And its in a back pack so obviously you need a full cook top for the big pocket, a cooler in the middle pocket for soda and well I guess prime on the go and toaster in small pocket… on the sides you have your butter, jelly, and peanut butter and the other side well a bread dispenser 😂 might as well throw a built in battery and attachble propane tank in somewhere so you can charge your phone and run your backback toaster on the go… bet a 25w solar panel would fit on the front for charging while hiking

    I guess I'm mostly interested in how the design was chosen and what alternatives you considered?
