i agree with you Jason that this is the best version of this waltz on TH-cam - not overcomplicated show-off mess but beautifully played great transcription for piano!. In my opinion when speed up by 1.25 it has similar tempo to Kleibers 1989 Neujahrskonzert interpretation which is just great. Thank you for uploading it!
@@TravelingPrik I totally agree from what I've seen most reviews of the movie are poor because everyone felt like the movie was just a 3 hour long acid trip
I wholeheartedly agree with your preference towards this transcription; do you happen to know who transcribed it? I am keen to seek this out. Thanks for the upload!
***** No problem! Unfortunately, I do not know who played this because I had this Chinese CD with a lot of my favorite classical songs and they do not mention who played the piece...sorry I couldn't help much, but if I ever find anything I'll tell you!
+Anthony F in case you are still wondering, this is the original piano version by Strauss: burrito.whatbox.ca:15263/imglnks/usimg/2/2a/IMSLP16772-Strauss_op.314_An_der_sch__nen_blauen_Donau_Cranz_2hands.pdf
It's the original piece written by Johann Strauss (or modified himself), the pianist also modified a little (some sections not repeated, some cut off), but generally it's the original piece :D
this song touched my heart..😳 Today when I was going to take revenge from my tricky friend , my younger sister stopped me and said if she can only take my 10 minutes....☺☺☺
Right! It's an A13, in this case a 3 note left hand voicing (from the bottom up, G C# F# ), a chord used by scores of jazz pianists, especially on a blues!
This is the arranged piano version written by Strauss himself. It is available on IMSLP, and in numerous Waltz books. In fact, it’s the first waltz in 2 of my piano waltz collection books!
Not a fan of the syncopation on the left hand, but otherwise... not bad. Still just doesn't do it justice though. The full orchestra version is just too brilliant.
For me as a kid, my first expose to this was Looney Tunes silly symphonies: A Korny Koncerto. It also had tales from the vienna woods. Classic bugs and daffy cartoon.
I like this version more than the orchestral version. it has a dreamy quality to it, I love it.
I agree mate, what a lovely song
The best and most wonderful waltz ever at piano.
He was kinda the king of waltzes
Waltz of the flowers, Second waltz, Grande valse briliante be like : hold our dance
By far the best version for piano
One of the most wonderful songs ever composed
the best ever.

@@pasimaenpaa2360 No, not at all dude. Its a nice piece though
@@pasimaenpaa2360 well, it is subjective. But in my opinion, it is not the best piece lol

Johann Strauss - Na krásném modrém Dunaji / piano sólo / - FANTASTICKÉ 😘😘😘 Velký dík za skvělé video !!!
My favourite this has to be the best version on piano I've heard. Bravo!!!
The best!!!
I want more from Johann Strauss!!
The Blue Danube. Delightful hypnotic beauty. Thank you Mr. Strauss. And to you Mr. Zhang.
Whenever I hear the Blue Danube, I can visualize couples waltzing gracefully:)
I love this piano piece, I recall my childhood playing this piece, until now I am teaching my students.
Absolutely beautiful and very beautifully done!!❤️✝️✝️👏👏👍👍🌹🌹🌹🌹🇱🇷💓💗💕🇺🇸
What a wonderful note 🎵
I have to admit, I was never really into Strauss, but this is amazingly beautiful and very dreamy. I feel so happy and like dancing 🕺
So touching! Couldn't be more beautiful!!

Strauss “mutton chops” were the ballroom floor for this waltz from his brilliant mind. 💃🕺🎼
Thanks to 2001: A Space Odyssey this song always makes me think of docking spacecraft.
ok
It's true though
Oh yea! Hate me if you will, but 2001: A Space Odyssey is among the worst movies I have ever seen. Perhaps I’m just a spoiled, impertinent iconoclast

I genuinely think their Strauss episode is one of the reasons I love this kind of music so much.
