One of the TV stations I used to work for aired Andy Griffith on my shift. So I had the honor of airing the show, two episodes in a row. So I have watched each episode numerous times. There was one episode we didn’t have (this was way back when the shows were aired off of a tape) that we didn’t have because it got destroyed in a tape machine and for some reason wasn’t ever replaced. And we aired the black and white versions only during sweeps because they always had higher views than the color versions. Intersteing fact!
Very emotional for me since I grew up watching Andy & Barney and the gang...! I've watched every episode several times hoping to see Andy and Barney and all the guys & gals on the show...! ...!!! Thank You all so much for all that you've done for us ALL...!!! Love you all 💯👍♥
The golden era of television. Good, wholesome entertainment for the whole family. Not only humorous, but sprinkled with country wisdom, morals, religion and patriotism. The kind of show that one cannot find in modern day sit-com. Not only that, but I enjoy it since it reminds me of the small town where I grew up in SW Arkansas. The biggest difference is the fact that we had no police force. All we had was an old "night watchman". The "jail" was an 8x15 concrete building that had one barred window, a barred door in the front, and two separate cells divided by bars. The nearest police force was 15 miles away.
My stepdad was from Arkansas. Lone oak. He was originally born in a town named after his family. He was born in a cabin. He said that it was just a ghost town now. McFadden Arkansas.
Morals, religion, and patriotism? Every family except Otis Campbells' was a single parent household. Barney committed business fraud against a salve maker and sold real estate without a license. And almost everybody in town used illegal drugs at least once.
Barney's bullet was my favorite running joke. Never failed to crack me up. I miss shows like this from when we lived in a civilized country. I grew up on a farm just outside a small town so much like Mayberry. God!....I miss those days.😢
One of my favorite running jokes (if you can call it that) is how Barney, as he is leading someone into a jail cell, yells, "AND SUCK IN THAT GUT!" Does that almost every time.
Barney was the magic element that made the show. Ironically, neither Don nor Andy were as good alone as they were together. The Andy Griffith Show might well be television at its pinnacle. All elements came together at a point in time to entertain, teach, and reflect what we as a society had been, and could be even at the very time we were leaving it behind.
Anytime barney says Men i know im in for a hilarious speech. I love that the show has raised generations of people no matter how old ya are. That takes a hell of a show to do that❤
Andy Griffith is on tv everyday in my area Alabama and after Don leaves show the next day the network starts at the beginning again season 1 it’s great
In a jailhouse down in Dixie fighting crime and risking life, Live the sheriff and his buddy, pistol packing Barney Fife. Oh my darin', oh my darin', oh my darin' Barney Fife! He's a deadly crime stopper, what a copper, Barney Fife! Then one day there come a ridin', two bad men to rob a bank, But Fife was tricky, a dead-eye-dickie, now they're locked up in the tank. EVERYONE JOIN IN NOW! Oh my Barney, oh my Barney, had a jail and couldn't lock it. Had one bullet for his pistol, had to keep it in his pocket. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I came across over a 130 Andy Griffith episodes on DVD at walmarts an bought the box of gr8 shows. Funny is Mr. McBeeVee and Barny finding out Blackie the horse is invisible.
9/30/2024. Well, you only have half of the information. Much credit has to go to the major writers. Sure Don was a good actor, but what was wrote was "GOLD".
One of the obvious changes after Don Knotts left was that even Andy couldn’t adjust. He wasn’t the same relaxed sheriff. He seemed irritable, nervous and uncomfortable in many shows.
@@maggiegarber246 yes! And I think seasons 2-5 were the very best of Ang and Barn. Everything clicked. And the writers were extra good during those years. As many know, Don and Andy sat in during the writers meetings and contributed a bunch.
Love this vid--well done! But since you asked, there are some you missed. Perhaps the most famous is his singing despite having no talent! Also, his attempts at tongue-twisters was hilarious. Finally, his squat walking never ceased to cause guffaws!
Don is definitely my favorite. I love watching anything he's in. He reminds me of my brother I no longer can talk to so this is emotional and heartwarming for me🤍
In one of the very early shows, Barney was mentioned to be Andy’s cousin, but never mentioned again. As a matter of fact, it seemed as if they didn’t have a connection during their childhood.
Yeah that's is because Andy Griffith lied to Barney and said he was going to stop by the Andy Griffith show because Andy was jealous because Barney P Fife Sheriff Deputy won 5 Grammy awards and Andy o
The Darlings were great as well. “Git off’n thar. Swang around swang around. Don’t scratch the furniture.” “If you don’t stop that deputy of yours, he’s gonna get us stoned to death”.
😮You did not include the poem about Barney he believed Opie wrote one of definitely funniest! Season 1 episode like 4 or 5 I believe. Thanks for sharing.
There once was a deputy named Fife who carried a gun and a knife. The gun was all rusted the knife was all crusted. He never caught a crook in his life. If this isn't exactly it, it's pretty close.
Some of the black and white episodes of the show were in public domain because they escaped copyright renewal....I wonder if they fixed that and got all of them back. I think Paramount owns the show now? I know that the entire series is available on DVD.
🎶....Nita...Jua-ah-ah-nita...🎶🥴 totally off key🤣 but we never see Juanita. and Barney was always so sure he'd get the singing part in a program. When catching the bad guys Andy was always there to save the day and still made Barney look like the hero.
Can't think of (or even imagine) another actor playing the part of Barney Fife better than Don Knotts. Knotts taught us that to PLAY the part of being a bumbling idiot you have to be a GENIUS. (Did Knotts every play a truly serious, non bumbling role?)
I just love how the Narrator blah, blah, blahs for a couple minutes, shows a 3-second clip of Barney, continues with his blah, blah, blahs for a couple minutes, shows a 3-second clip of Barney ... rinse and repeat.
In the past 40 years I have seen every Mayberry episode at least 400 times. They never get old.
Especially the black and white ones.

Same
@gns423 yes . only black and white
Me too
Best sitcom character ever. Watch Barney 60 years later, and he's still hilarious!
Its still funny!!! One of the best shows EVER!!!!
Barney getting drunk was always priceless.
Barney was the greatest! Never get tired of watching the show over and over. We all have a little Barney is us.
And let's not forget Mr. Ferly
My all time favorite show! Barney and Andy were the best.
Thank you so much for keeping this show alive, good old show.
"Hello, Juanita? Oh hi, Frank." 😂
Lots of holes in the floor and ceiling of that courthouse!😂

DEPUTY FIKE,,,WE SALUTE YOU 😂
Take me back to the good ol days, and leave me there!
I always liked Barney explaining the special going on down at the dinner. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
A funny show that never gets old 😊

Yes!

Does that almost every time.
This is probably one of anericas most iconic and wholesome tv shows.
His “singing” prowess was a running joke!
Almost every night, before I go to sleep, and say my prayers, I'll watch an episode or two on PLUTO TV.😅
Incredibly funny.

I’m still watching Barney in Oct 2024 because he knows how to “Nip it in the bud”.
I got one for you, Barney’s eagerness to believe in the paranormal.
I enjoyed your video very much! 🐸
Thank you...
Glad you liked it! Thanks for watching!
'Uglier than a bar of homemade soap" - Barney Fife
Otis Campbell interaction is it's own category and ranks up there.
Actor never a drinker!

Absolutely definitely my favorite show of all time can watch every episode over and over again
My brother and I used to sing that together even in 2010. Miss you brother. 💕✝️
My favorite, that I repeat at every opportunity..." Bats! They get in your hair, lay their eggs and you go crazy!!!"
The best
One thing about Barney he was always on the job.
Barney's stupidity puts me over the edge in several episodes. I can't handle it any more. LOL
Very nice clips best show ever
I am from Don Knott's hometown of Morgantown, WV. When I die I want to go Mayberry.
I came across over a 130 Andy Griffith episodes on DVD at walmarts an bought the box of gr8 shows. Funny is Mr. McBeeVee and Barny finding out Blackie the horse is invisible.

So true
One of the obvious changes after Don Knotts left was that even Andy couldn’t adjust. He wasn’t the same relaxed sheriff. He seemed irritable, nervous and uncomfortable in many shows.
After the first season or 2, Andy dropped a lot of his down home speech etc. and became a more settled delivery.
@@maggiegarber246 yes! And I think seasons 2-5 were the very best of Ang and Barn. Everything clicked. And the writers were extra good during those years. As many know, Don and Andy sat in during the writers meetings and contributed a bunch.

My dearly departed father who originally hailed from Natchitoches Louisiana actually auditioned for the part of Andy. Pop was a great actor.
Prayers for both Carolinas devastated by TS Helene floods.
FEMA is a sick joke by the Biden administration.
Barney Fife is a mature human being and as rare as woodpecker with lips.
Citizen's arayest! citizens arayest!
Gomer
In the #10 humor, I like when Andy sings "Has a locket in his pocket." And not part of this video was when Clara said "Careful Bee." That is cute.
By far the best side-kick in TV history
I always like Barney's meltdowns, like in The Clubmen. He also has a meltdown or two in A Medal for Opie.
I TOTALLY AGREE with you!! But why did Barney leave? I want to know!!!😮
Don is definitely my favorite. I love watching anything he's in. He reminds me of my brother I no longer can talk to so this is emotional and heartwarming for me🤍
This man played the same character all his life. Apple dumpling gang, Three's company, Andy Griffith he played the same guy and we loved it.
Barney Fife was really funnyman
In one of the very early shows, Barney was mentioned to be Andy’s cousin, but never mentioned again. As a matter of fact, it seemed as if they didn’t have a connection during their childhood.
Don was the show!😅
Barney and Floyd the barber
I wonder if Thelma Lou knew about Juanita.
a good team. just like Laurel and Hardy, Gleeson and Carney.
And I WILL ALWAYS SAYS THAT WITHOUT BARNEY THE SHOW WAS NOTHING. I personally did not see any repeats without Barney!!!!!!
In a jailhouse down in Dixie fighting crime and risking life, lived the Sheriff and his buddy pistol packing Barney Fife……..
Don Knotts was a comedic genius.
The first rule of doing a TH-cam about Barney Fife is... _Obey all rules._
"Men..."
Best American comedy ever not like the rubbish nowadays
He was also Doc the Haywood, indian fighter.
show really went downhill after don knotts dropped out
Yeah that's is because Andy Griffith lied to Barney and said he was going to stop by the Andy Griffith show because Andy was jealous because Barney P Fife Sheriff Deputy won 5 Grammy awards and Andy o
I agree because Warren was so annoying.
@@maggiegarber246 worst casting decision ever
It was time for Barney to be a film star.
It really did
You forgot Barney's legendary "courage "
How many times did Barney get drunk, with just a few sips of moonshine?
How many times did Barney break the glass in the bookcase?
If them birds fly over, they would stand up and point..best joke
Don Knots was like Charlie Sheen. They made the show. Wasn't the same without them.
"I got an uvula, you got an uvula, all God's chillen got an uvula!"
The Darlings were great as well. “Git off’n thar. Swang around swang around. Don’t scratch the furniture.”

I have one. Barney messes up his hair after getting embarrassed.
Barney and his bullet……😂😂😂😂
Tjete wete only two episodes that revealed Barny as Andy's cousin!
Lets get some complete episodes please??!
Barney Fife! Mayberry! Glenn
Where is our deputies to treat the public like this today?
I hated it when Barney humiliated himself!!! But when he was confronted by criminals, he was great.
Judd: I wish he’d throw something at me, I ain’t et lunch yet

And then at the Haunted house door knob Gomer the Barney Age before beauty
❤😂🎉
You missed the best one Barney & Otis
Andy needs to be married but barny won't even go there 😂
Barney: Here at the rock!!!……..
❤😂🎉
How about in the next Barney Fife video, you narrate less and let Barney talk more.
Thanks for watching!
Barney Fife got warped into a term of derision to security officers and some police.
The Andy Griffith show really lost momentum after Dom Knotts left
I just love how the Narrator blah, blah, blahs for a couple minutes, shows a 3-second clip of Barney, continues with his blah, blah, blahs for a couple minutes, shows a 3-second clip of Barney ... rinse and repeat.
I liked the Pickle Story and the haunted house episode……
