especially judging by the very poor quality of the food they give them, it looks disgusting and most of the time does not fairly represent what they claim it does.
People who upset with Mama because he don't eat the "proper amount" of food is really need to be kind. Unfamiliar food can 'cause problem with your stomach. In Indonesia we always put spice that most white person can't handle. Once there was a tourist from The USA, my aunt force him to eat Rendang. Yes, Rendang is super delicious and CNN put them as the #1 Most Delicious Food in the world. But REAL Rendang, Rendang that cook by Minangnese people are very rich in spices and super spicy. Shortly after, that poor tourist got food poisoned. His tongue went numb and he said like a hundreds invisible knife having party inside him. He wasted his vacation days in nearby hospital.
Now that they know a bit about the Amish and their culture, I think the participants would be amazed if they saw videos of an Amish barn raising, the stunning quilts they sew by hand and of the incredible furniture they hand craft without the use of power tools. The furniture is built, not just to last "a" lifetime, but durable enough to be used daily and still be passed down through multiple generations. Great video, Reactistan family! I live near the Amish. They make the donuts and sell them at a market by my house . We have recently sold our boat to two Amish men. They do have a simple lifestyle and speak in their own language . They also call people that are not Amish " the english"
We live just outside of Lancaster Pennsylvania and I can’t help myself but making a trip for homemade Amish made ShoeFly Pie. The Amish (Pennsylvania Dutch) consider anyone outside their community as English. They refer to normal dressing Americans as the English way. I have so much respect for their simple life with the modern world inches away.
Wet bottom here 😂 Nothing like a good shoofly pie..well maybe some pot pie lol I have and Roots ❤ I grew up in rural York County but live in Perry now. Ever been to ShadyMaple?
We been spending most our lives Living in an Amish paradise I've churned butter once or twice Living in an Amish paradise It's hard work and sacrifice Living in an Amish paradise We sell quilts at discount price Living in an Amish paradise
The Amish do definitely have trades! They grow and sell vegetables and fruit- but also make amazing homes, quilts, etc! They are not without income! America is a settling place for an extremely diverse range of people and cultures. There also are the Hutterites. I think it was neat to surprise Mustafa with this! 👏
Also the Mennonites, who are more accepting of the modern world without adopting it wholesale. They can have their own schools through their right to freedom of religion guaranteed in the American Constitution.
Didn't see any scrapple, liver, pig stomach, egg noodles, or endless pork and beef cuts and side dishes like potato salad. You will find that Amish/Penn Dutch food has a lot of variety. There are hundreds of side dishes to any main meal, including pork and saukraut and cucumber salad, etc. They also have hundreds of spreads, cheeses, meat cuts, breads, pies, dounuts, muffins, cakes, ice cream, even the types of butter anf jams for bread. Their main dishes though tend to be very hearty and flavored with simple, but traditional seasonings like garlic, salt, pepper, celery, onion, and radish.
I had a college professor who grew up Amish and left the community to pursue a higher education. He was the youngest of 12 boys. He joked that he was the "lending son" because when the family next door who'd only had daughters asked for help with a large family task like baling hay, his parents were always like, "Oh, we'll send Daniel. We have enough hands without him." There were many parts of his childhood that he truly treasured, but it was not without its downsides.
@@nikkirockznikkirockz8551 No technology, no higher education, no opportunities, berating family, backward thinking, limits on everything... The list can go on and on
Again I thank the Producers for presenting some "background" information and photos. This is very helpful for these wonderful people in understanding the diversity of American culture. Thank you.
I love y'all! You are so 😁 😂 😀 I love Mama's respect for natural simple ingredients and taste and his consideration for it's effect on health. Honest opinions of cultures, their foods and traditions are really enjoyed! I grew up in Ohio. The food has flavor but no spices or heat. I lived in Texas for 20 years where Mexican food is very good! Now I am in New Mexico which is the world's best known area for long Chiles. You need to try Chile rellenos, tacos, Barbacoa. Wonderful food!
the thing is they told them misconceptions. Amish do use tech. they use power tools, electric lights on their buggies, they use cell phones. there is New World and Old World Amish. New World Amish have electric power to their homes for lights and certin appliances. They also tend to not drink alcohol unlike Old World Amish. Old World Amish may have their homes connected if they have a medical need such as the allergy to sunlight and hence need all windows covered and use special lighting. this shows up frequently due to the limited gene pool. The Mennonites used to be part of the Amish church
I'm from Central Pennsylvania. I grew up with many Amish families and have many Amish friends. I can tell you that some of my favorite food has been prepared by our local Amish community. Clinton County, Pennsylvania!
The Amish food is all made from scratch and is one of the best foods you will try. It is not fancy, but it is filling and tastes wonderful. Mama, you eat however you are comfortable eating. I'm just happy when you try things. It is difficult to try things from other cultures that may be extremely different than what you are used to. Love watching you no matter what.
Amish food is amazing. Years ago I ate at an Amish restaurant and got a plate filled with tons of goodies. I still remember the homemade macaroni and cheese. It was good
There are many Amish people in the area of Ohio where I live. And there are several restaurants in the area that serve Amish style food, which is popular with tourists who come from the larger cities.
I'm from Lancaster PA (also known as Amish Country). They need to try Chicken/Turkey Pot Pie, Chow Chow, Chicken corn soup, whoopie pies, amish apple butter and toast. They have the best food. Its amazing.
@@kareninalabama Yeah, nothing beats Chicken corn noodle soup on a cold day. It's the best! Also near the end of summer when Sweet corn is freshly picked from the field and used in the soup.
Possible religious arguments aside, I think the Amish and the various tribal peoples of Pakistan would enjoy mutual respect and could be cordial neighbours if the surrounding lands were at peace. I suspect both groups could learn a great deal from one another without risking any harm to their protected traditions, and that they'd manage a brisk trade in handcrafted goods.
The funny thing is, religious interpretations aside, old school people from different countries have more similar values- the tribal people here have more similar mindset to the Amish than, say, a more progressive American. Both would totally agree that spirituality, simplicity, hardwork, and family oriented is the best values
Hello, I live in the heart of Amish country here in the US. They are wonderful people, and their food is some of the best. You really did not experience their best offerings. They make a fried pie that is one of my favorites. And they also have restaurants where you can go experience their home cooked food. Amazing fried chicken, potatoes, corn, gravy, etc. etc. all of the best. In a way many here envy their lifestyle. Unfortunately the liberal government is trying to take it away. Their recent raid on an Amish meat farm is just the latest in a long line of tyranny from this current administration. Hold dear to your ways, it can be taken away by evil people at any moment.
I live right across the street from an Amish market. It's only open three days a week and they have the best produce, bakery and meat products! They're very nice people too!
I've met many individuals who live in the Amish community. There are two kinds of Amish: Old Order: are individuals who live their lives with absolutely no electricity and drive buggies. New Order/Mennonite: Live their lives with electricity, car and other modern things. Either way, these individuals are very welcoming, great food and phenomenal quality of wood work. Enjoy
For Uncle Mustafa, and those in the comments: a house without walls cannot stand, and only a fool lets a man in their home without greeting them first. It is good to be discerning and stick to the good things in life. Kudos to Uncle Mustafa for knowing his boundaries.
I agree with your panel that the Shoe Fly pie is too sweet, and I don't choose to buy it.. However, a complete Amish meal is fantastic..so many delicious ways of cooking vegetables, etc. that they grow on their big farms. I hope you get a chance to come to the U.S. and be treated to a full Amish meal with many different types of food offered.
I have a lot of distant relatives in the Mennonite community, who are similar to the Amish in their beliefs and lifestyle, with the exception of a few creature comforts like cars (so long as they are black in color), and homes with electricity for simple things like lighting and so on. They have similarly large families to the Amish, with one of my grandfather's brothers having over 80+ grandchildren when not even all of his own children were married yet. And this is was back in 2011, so that number is probably well over 100 now
That true I’ve noticed mama first eat much at all and is extremely picky just by looking 😂at the food. I hope the food doesn’t get wasted. Mama M u should eat more and then express your thoughts 😂
Kinda amazing to see their reaction to the amish lifestyle, i was extreme surprised when they even called it "verry strange and backwardet primitive" 😅 Usualy westeners would call tribal ppl backwardet primitive🤣
The shop fly pie wasn’t cooked long enough. It should hold together more and the dough should have a light brown color like apple pie. But I love this idea.
I'm subscribed but haven't gotten any notifications for your videos in quite some time. I thought that they had shut you down. I'm very glad that's not true! ❤
Mama judges by the foods face before trying it and says he doesn’t like mixed food but talks about mixing his food while cooking or eating, also I hear many complaints about not enough spices. We have spices on the table so we can add spices to our liking
"Doesn't the American government object to their own rules and regulations?" Sort of. The top US court decided in a case in 1972 that the parents' right to freedom of religion outweighed the state's right to educate children, so they are given an exemption and are allowed to educate their children in their own way, but homeschooling remains a complicated topic, and in other Western countries, they have much stricter rules regarding homeschooling than the US.
Ohhhh noooo! That whole Shoofly pie looks very undercooked! The filling shouldn't look like pudding. The crust should be lightly browned and the pie should cut cleanly (like cake). The foods usually look pretty good here but I think this one missed the mark.
This video was made for me! 😁 I am Baloch Sindhi from my father’s side and Pennsylvania Dutch (ethnic group of Amish) from my mother’s side.

Dry or wet bottom ? 🤔
@@bluebird7546 I like dry bottom lol
I grew up in Adamstown. I miss Shoofly Pie. Ever go to GreenDragon?
Wet bottom here 😂 Nothing like a good shoofly pie..well maybe some pot pie lol
I have and Roots ❤
I grew up in rural York County but live in Perry now.
Ever been to ShadyMaple?
@@bluebird7546 I used to love going grocery shopping at Shady Maple!
We been spending most our lives

Weird Al Yankovic. Good one! 😂😂
I was wondering how you got access to internet and a tablet living the Amish life
😅 Long time ago I heard Amish paradise.
@@notsureiL They keep electronics out in the barns or outbuildings, that way they're not in the house.
They can have their own schools through their right to freedom of religion guaranteed in the American Constitution.
ahhhhhh! he got you there with the store bought BREAD!! LOL!!!
Mustafa loves to travel, he can't stop talking about it!
I wish I had the means of bringing him and his family to Sarasota for a cultural visit! Here, there are large Amish and Mennonite communities.
Great video. Have them try Trinidadian dishes.
Or dishes from Dschibuti
Oh yes!
I think that's a great idea given the history of Trinidad and its connection to India. They're Pakistani, but they may recognize the flavors.
As a Pennsylvanian I greatly appreciate you sharing our culture
I so want to see a crossover! I think they would get along well.
You're not going to see anything with pork, they can't eat it.
What did he teach?
@@joantrotter3005 Sociology and Social Work.
What were your friend's downsides"?
@@nikkirockznikkirockz8551 No technology, no higher education, no opportunities, berating family, backward thinking, limits on everything... The list can go on and on
Again I thank the Producers for presenting some "background" information and photos. This is very helpful for these wonderful people in understanding the diversity of American culture. Thank you.
It's the first time I see a shoofly pie without the crumb top.. The filling is molasses.. And the bottom can be dry or wet, depending on the recipe.
Finally food Mustafa appreciate 😊 Good old simple food.
The Amish are wonderful friendly people. Great farmers , woodworkers, and horse breeders.
These folks and the amish would get a long well i'd bet. also agree with the ladies about the internet age. good and bad. stay
Just a suggestion as a amateur baker, you definitely want to "blind bake" your pie crust first or it will be raw. 😁
I really think Mama would get along really good with the Amish. Really down to earth people.
Thank you, always fun to watch everyone!
I think Mr. Mustafa would enjoy the Amish people and I definitely think they would enjoy hm. They have very similar values in life.
I would genuinely love to see a show watching these people visit an Amish community and staying awhile with them.
the thing is they told them misconceptions.
It was good
I love Reactistan
Love these simple people
Love from India
I live around lots of Amish they've always been nice people when I talk to them
Peter Santenello has a pretty good documentation about his expirience with the amish. You can find it here on YT
There are many Amish people in the area of Ohio where I live. And there are several restaurants in the area that serve Amish style food, which is popular with tourists who come from the larger cities.
My first thought when I saw the title of the video. "I hope they get to try the peanut butter." 😋
I'm from Lancaster PA (also known as Amish Country). They need to try Chicken/Turkey Pot Pie, Chow Chow, Chicken corn soup, whoopie pies, amish apple butter and toast. They have the best food. Its amazing.
Oh man, my mother made the best chicken corn soup with rivels! She was born in Harrisburg and her family was mostly from Shippensburg.
@@kareninalabama Yeah, nothing beats Chicken corn noodle soup on a cold day. It's the best! Also near the end of summer when Sweet corn is freshly picked from the field and used in the soup.
I lived very near to the Amish and ate their foods for a long time. It's super awesome to know that a breakfast casserole is a roti.
Mama loved the casserole! :D
Another great video. We will miss Mama M this season!
When Mustafa liked the pie- “ Hey Mikey- he likes it!”
Perhaps this is the first time Mamaji dan other Reactistani heard of a tribe which lead an even simpler lives than theirs 🙏♥️🙏
Word of this will get around the Amish communities and I think they will be pleased.
That pie is very under baked. The crust should be golden brown.
Unfortunately the shoofly pie was way undercooked
Amish desserts are AMAZING. Shoo-fly pie incredible
2:43 - oh boy, do I feel this comment. I'm barely holding onto my sanity and I don't even have a TV!
Glad to see Mama Mustafa in a video. We missed him! But... WHERE IS MEHBOOB?!?!
I live right across the street from an Amish market. It's only open three days a week and they have the best produce, bakery and meat products! They're very nice people too!
Why am I thinking Ali enjoyed the rest of that casserole? 😋
Now that is appreciation of food.Wonderful.
The one woman’s green headscarf reminds me of being eaten by an alligator! The lace is like sharp, dangerous teeth. 😅 🥰
I've met many individuals who live in the Amish community.
There are two kinds of Amish:
Old Order: are individuals who live their lives with absolutely no electricity and drive buggies.
New Order/Mennonite: Live their lives with electricity, car and other modern things.
Either way, these individuals are very welcoming, great food and phenomenal quality of wood work.
Enjoy
I could never be unhappy with Mama! ❤
For Uncle Mustafa, and those in the comments: a house without walls cannot stand, and only a fool lets a man in their home without greeting them first.
It is good to be discerning and stick to the good things in life.
Kudos to Uncle Mustafa for knowing his boundaries.
I think our tribal food judges would love Amish sticky buns also.
Please if it’s in the budget send some of these to an Amish community and vlog it I’d love to see
Shoofly pie is quite sweet! Not one I eat often
Mama, you eat what pleases you. That’s how it works.
And this is was back in 2011, so that number is probably well over 100 now
Mennonites used to be part of the Amish church. They are often the middleman to a number of Amish communities when dealing with the English
Forgot the apple butter and saffron chicken pot pie!!
That true I’ve noticed mama first eat much at all and is extremely picky just by looking 😂at the food. I hope the food doesn’t get wasted. Mama M u should eat more and then express your thoughts 😂
love you guys
Kinda amazing to see their reaction to the amish lifestyle, i was extreme surprised when they even called it "verry strange and backwardet primitive" 😅 Usualy westeners would call tribal ppl backwardet primitive🤣
The shop fly pie wasn’t cooked long enough. It should hold together more and the dough should have a light brown color like apple pie. But I love this idea.
I'm subscribed but haven't gotten any notifications for your videos in quite some time. I thought that they had shut you down. I'm very glad that's not true! ❤
Those donuts were from Dunkin
Alright You listened !
Mama judges by the foods face before trying it and says he doesn’t like mixed food but talks about mixing his food while cooking or eating, also I hear many complaints about not enough spices. We have spices on the table so we can add spices to our liking
"Doesn't the American government object to their own rules and regulations?"
Sort of.
"are you sure we're talking about Americans"...🤣🤣🤣🤣💯
Ohhhh noooo! That whole Shoofly pie looks very undercooked! The filling shouldn't look like pudding. The crust should be lightly browned and the pie should cut cleanly (like cake). The foods usually look pretty good here but I think this one missed the mark.
