    Black Telecaster Custom, that’s the look. 70’s Keith vibes! Nice playing too, Cooper!

    I bought a new Tele Custom in 1981, and it was usually my go-to instrument for studio recording. That guitar produced wild, very mechanical sounding harmonics---It didn't even sound like a guitar--when all strings were muted or fretted with light pressure (not all the way down to the finger board) and strummed (hard, I believe--I was 17 years old then, & my favorite bands were The Jam & The Pretenders) behind the single coil pickup. I don't remember the 3-bolt neck, though, & I remember the neck at the nut being wide across the finger board, and very narrow front to back. I've always believed that this profile is refered to as a "D" profile. Hmm...

    Bought a used Vintera in fiesta red, great guitar. I did a bit of modding, though. The first owner changed the bridge to a Mastery M3 bridge. I’ve done CuNiFe neck pup, SD hotrails in the bridge, changed all electronics, VIPpots 550k, locking tuners, a black pickguard from WD . I guess I just could’ve bought a US-model instead, but where’s the fun in that?

    I had a MIM '72 Thinline with the 7.25 radius and I found it VERY comfortable. The Tele Custom is a model I have always been curious about, and I will definitely arrange to check one out.

    If it's good enough for Keith Richard's it's good enough for me. Got one in black and it nails Stone's riffs.

    Love these!!! I used to own a 1973 Tele Deluxe. Got it brand new. The pickups are AWESOME!

    I got the Mexican version in black and it’s awesome! Glad they’re making them in the US for those who can afford it 👍

    Best guitar purchase I've ever made! I'm digging the the neck profile & radius, pleasantly surprised. The fact that Cooper played this one, and left a little C.G. mojo on the frets is a cool thing to add to the mix. Rave on ya'll. . .

      Hi! I bought this guitar last week, i loved the way it sounds and the playability. But...... Yesterday while playing in the practice room, started to make a very strong buz grounding sound.. very strong, also without pedals or overdrive. Tried at home, same. Just brought to the place where i bought, there the issue sounded less strong (probably they have best electrical system, best cables, best amp ecc) and are going to deep dive on that. Is this the same for you? Is it noisy? Thanks!

    For the new models that you saw at the Nashville Fender event, were there new colors for the AVII and Vintera Jazzmasters? Also did they show an AVII Jaguar?

    YES, I have a 70's Vintera Fender Telecaster Custom. black and I love this guitar, so I imagine the Fender American mo0del has to be as equally great.

    Just received one of these today. First 3 minutes impressions - chunky neck, pickups sound beautiful. Now waiting for my work day to end so I can spend more time with it.

    The real deal! Cool guitar. I dislike the 6 barrel bridge though. I’d a Tele with those before and it’s very messy. 3 saddle all the way!

    Do they round the fretboard edge on this model? Can we get an average neck thickness at 1st and 12th frets? Thanks for whatever info you can provide.

    Mine did end up having issues still hoping to get it fixed. A local fender authorised repair tech said he fixed it but no . Still having issues . I did see a TH-camr Landon Bailey's page has a fix grounding of the pots. Have not tried his fix yet going to check with Fender before I do. 😢 All the $$ for a guitar that has issues. Still under factory warranty.

    I grew up learning and playing in bands in the 80’s-90’s and it was all older used gear. Nitro was gone, heck tube amps were rare nobody wanted them. It would have been poly, and a 7.25 radius,and probably through a Peavey solid state. And thats what we had and 7.25 was never an issue. Ever. But these are way over priced. So JV modified. Is how I went however the 72 thinline is really scratching my itch right now… but 2500 jeeeeeze..

      CuNiFe
      Cu = Copper
      Ni = Nickel
      Fe = Iron
      CuNiFe is an alloy suitable for permanent magnetizing. Fender used them in the 70s for the magnets in their Wide Range humbucking pickups in the deluxe teles.

    Playing is as chicken' pickin' good as ever, Coop. Nice job on addressing the squeaky wheels who caused the squeals over QC with the first batch. Have to admit a little leeriness still just because of the price and the suspicion that Fender is working flat out to match demand, which naturally does put pressure to get things out the door quicksmart. This doesn't quite run to my tastes anyway, but it's still a very attractive line of guitars.
