The two most under appreciated cartoons to ever grace the Cartoon Network airwaves. At least Chowder is starting to get some recognition for its 4th wall breaking. Meanwhile Flapjack remains hidden amongst other forgotten gems. (Which sucks because it’s what happens when the creators of Over the Garden Wall, Gravity Falls, Adventure Time and Regular Show work on a Cartoon together.) Maybe there’s hope that people will remember Flapjack much like the remember Courage the Cowardly Dog, as a cartoon that causes you to hide behind the couch because of its terrifying moments. (Or because Knuckles is the most relatable cartoon character to come out since Squidward.)
yotsubafanfan yeah I grew to love both shows because hey all had a great cast of colorful characters. Chowder which is in a wacky setting and Flapjack with strange creepy and surreal humor in a pirate setting with themes that fit like in Courage The Cowardly Dog

I personally like the character of Chowder better, even though I like Flapjack's show better. Both of them are definitely... extra, sometimes, but at least you remember them. Ultimately, I think I like Chowder more because I like Mung more then Knuckles, because while Mung can be a bad example sometimes, Knuckles is on a whole different level, so in the moments when they try to be like their mentors, Chowder seems less annoying then Flapjack. If that even makes any sense XD Good video (Good thing I never sleep, so I could watch it right away!). Keep it up XD

The reason why I clicked the like button for this video is because I LOVE Chowder and Flapjack. Those two are among my TOP THREE FAVORITE animated television projects ever (the third being Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends). And guess wat? The reason why I love both of these shows is BECAUSE of the two star characters. Both star children are cute and innocent, and I always want to root or them all the time. I agree with plenty of things Alpha Jay jus said, including how much compassion they have for their teachers, but if you ask me, I like how childlike they are. Even if they are immature at times, that's only because they're young children. It's not their fault they have not become adults yet, and their childlike innocence can make them perfectly goodguyish and likable too. I guess I like Chowder a little bit better, but that's only because of the voice actor cast (Chowder is voiced by a real child actor Nicky Jones, while Flapjack is voiced by his own creator Thurop Van Orman). I will say Flapjack looks a little bit cuter than Chowder. Whatever the case, I love both Chowder and Flapjack, and I was somewhat sad to see both shows stop airing on Cartoon Network. But I can thank The Amazing World of Gumball and Adventure Time with Finn and Jake for trying to fill the void. (but not Regular Show. #%!*& Regular Show!)
I always thought that Chowder and Flapjack were similar so I'm glad that you made a video comparing the two characters. I watched both as a child but I preferred Chowder because of the colorfulness and 4th wall breaking. Although I liked Flapjack, I have to admit that the animation style turned me away from it at times because I didn't really like the look of certain characters. Otherwise both were great shows and recently I have watched some episodes of Chowder and the humor still holds up today, I have yet to rewatch Flapjack however but I will soon.
