@ 6-13...that's no. 10 for Burnley - Ralph Coates - WITH HAIR! Five years later, he had one hell of a comb-over! At no. 9 that's Andy Lochhead for Burnley, also with hair. Fondly remembered at Villa Park 1970-73...crucial contribution to get us out of the Third Division. /1
Funny seeing the Gunners in white shirts but you would think they would have tried the reverse of the home shirts at some point, white shirts with red sleeves as an away shirt. I do prefer the usual yellow shirts, blue shorts and yellow socks though.
Went to Turf Moor a couple of times in the late 60s/early 70s. Still had a good side then but decline set in later Always face my team (Liverpool) a tough game
As a Burnley Fan, Thank you was brought up being told about Burnleys team in the 1960's nice to see this.
this is a great upload well done m8 more please

Wow I was only three when this was played, 1973 my first match at the turf.
Enjoyed watching UP THE CLARETS 🏐
Willie Morgan on the wing, signed for utd 1968 110k.l think. Nice to see handbags in the crowd. Innocence with a capital l.

Low attendance "due to outbreak of foot and mouth disease" 😬
A Burnley fan who remembers clearly all those names; Casper was a great buy.
First player in 10 years that Burnley had bought.
I thank thee.
Great footage, looks so misty & atmospheric.
Jimmy Greaves once described Burnley as being a bit like Brigadoon as you came down through all the mist and smoke into the town.

loving these great old games. More entertaining than modern game. Q. Can you increase resolution quality to HD ?
Very rare to see a sending off in those days
When did you ever see two!
Francis Lee v Norman Hunter 1st Nov 1975. Without doubt the best fight in English football history 😮
@@alanb.87saw a good one on here around that time. Ray Hankin v Gordon McQueen.
Why were there large gaps on the terraces behind both goals?
Foot and mouth disease and no buses running.
Leeds would have been looking on enviously at Dirty Arsenal! LOL! 😆😆🤣🤣
No prima donnas , diving and cheating, best days
Until we played city and "franny lee"
Tetchy, bad tempered game but tame Burnley failed to take advantage, hardly laid a glove
on Arsenal.
failed to take advantage ? Burnley won 1-0
Playing the old Arsenal game, 20 years before Arsenal did it. 1 -0 to the Burnley, 1-0 to the Burnley etc 😉
