He now loves chinos we get his suits and clothes tailored I got him to stop wearing his shirts to big. Even his casual wear is on point now and he looks good and feels good. Others work well in the appropriate weather: sunglasses, hats, gloves, and scarves. I wouldn't always recommend a statement watch. If I'm already wearing a different statement piece, I'll wear a more subtle watch. When I'm not wearing another statement piece, a watch becomes a good statement piece option.

I’ve made so many mistakes and have wasted so much money only to end up donating most of what I purchased. I’m making way better decisions now. I’ve learned that as great as certain styles may be, they’re not suited for everyone, including myself. I now stick to what works for me. I’ve also gotten use to the minimalist approach in everything I wear. I’m finally in a good place. 🙏🏼

The complements I receive from coworkers always revolve around how well put together I always look without trying too hard. I'm 59 for the next 13 days... In making the transition into my 60s is a cavernous leap with everything from car to clothes; I don't feel 60, but with the greys having full range on my face, I probably look it. I appreciate this conversion it helps to remain relevant and with O.G. style.

Being older now, clothes is not for me anymore. I dont need a suit or fancy shoes. It’s now about being on a nook, reading a book, smoking a cigar with some whiskey and relax after a long hard day of work. Spending time with the wife along with kids if you have any. That’s the older mentality I have moving forward. Traveling is key as well if possible if you have the means 💵
Be honest about your (life)style and elevate it a notch at a time. Hopefully, this will avoid the unworn and costly vanity purchases. The best invest for me at 50, is get in shape

My problem is, I'm a late 40's hefty dude that lives in the heat of Florida! t-shirt and a nice pair of shorts...I've gone with the white sneakers, but its hard to layer clothes when the devil is on your back!
One of the smartest things I’ve ever done is a few years before Covid I managed a chain of dry cleaners and at one of the stores the next door neighbor was a tailor. I went over one day and offered to do his clothes for his customers if he would do a few shirts and pants for me ever now and then. He told me he was slow so bring everything I had to him the next day lol. I literally dry cleaned maybe 5-6 shirts and 4-5 pants for him and he done a complete measurement of my body and altered probably 20-25 button ups, around 20-25 polos and god probably close to 30 pair of slacks over the years. No I didn’t take all that at once lol.. I’ve left him tips, reviews and he said the best thing I did was send him customers from the cleaners. I didn’t know it but he told me about a year ago me sending people and giving him my clothes stopped him from giving up after almost 30 years. Even with Covid just from word of mouth the man is still thriving today tho!! But anyways!! I still see him every few weeks when I buy new clothes and he still hugs me every time I walk in!
As I grow older I find my sartorial style getting older too. All the way back to what my grandfather probably wore. Three piece tailored suits, pocket watch with the requisite Albert chains in the vest, safety razor for shaving and a nice fountain pen. In the winter newsboy hats and long overcoats and, of course, shined shoes. And finally I won’t leave the house without a proper square.
What about wearing shorts? I'm 50 and hate wearing long pants unless I really need to. What would your styles be to dress up shorts? Great video by the way.

I don't know shyt about Chino pants what type of fabric can u wear them loose becuz I don't like skin tight pants.

For places with warmer weather, i would suggest Chinos or linen trousers instead of jeans. You can easily dress up or dress down chinos.
