Just received my Crab today, sounds incredible. It "Maintains Your Tone" and adds grit to it. The Gain and the Level are connected, lots of volume level in there. The Tone control adds some really nice "Hair" on top if needed, its not boosting mids and cutting low end like most tone controls....Don't worry about these vids, their tone is not good and this pedal will not fix it! Crap in crap out, Awesome in Awesome out, seriously get it! ;)
This demo rocks! The Blues Crab is so bloody good for the $ it's ridiculous. I grabbed one and a NU>X Morningstar ( a JHS Morning Glory clone) also crazy cheap, and stack 'em. It's phenomenal. I might even buy another couple, one of each. Yeah, I'm on the KOT waiting list but I wouldn't be surprised if I end up preferring the cheapie dual to the "fabled best overdrive of mythical proportions" etc, etc. No offense to Mike Analogman, he makes awesome gear, especially those fuzzes.
Great demo. I've read many reviews where players say that it's brighter than the real BB but it sounds as though you're not feeling this at all. How do you think it would play with a bright amp such as the Fender Hot Rods? I'm looking for for a low gain pedal for that lovely edge-of-breakup sound. I have a Tone City Sweet Cream but even thought it's pretty decent, it is very bright, but I'm hoping the BC would be a better choice. Cheers mates! Oh, I've never bonded with TS pedals...
A newbie here, should I get this pedal to play some blues and classic rock ? I never had tube screamer/overdrive pedal. I don't know what to get. Very confusing, tube screamer, overdrive, blues breaker and etc. Are they all the same ? Thanks
Hi mate! This pedal is a lighter overdrive... So it doesn’t have too much extra gain... It’s perfect for pushing the front end of the valve amp... and not losing the tone of your guitar... A tube screamer is a bit different, it adds a lot more distortion to your signal and has more middle frequencies, I hope that helps!
I bought a Blues Crab after watching this a few times. Love it.
Let us know what you think when it shows up!!!
@@thepedalpicassos it's great, provides spanky top end, stacks well too. I owned a PoT once, it's pretty similar.
Jason Ayala Spare is it worth it?
moorer Blues Crab Bluesbreak-in-a-box is awesome pedal. I ordered one after researching on youtube from videos like this one and others.
Sweeeeeet!!! Let us know how you go with it!!!
