+1 on using it as an almost always on pedal. I play guitars with both humbuckers and single coils at every gig and it sounds phenomenal with both. I push it with the Wampler Clarksdale and it's simply over the top! I just ordered a second one to use as a boost before the Clarksdale:-)
+BanditPanda Why? I use it with a Telecaster and love it for a sparkly bluesy break up tone. I leave it on all the time, gain about 3/4 up and roll guitar volume downto clean it up. Perfect!
Just received this today, sounds incredible. It "Maintains Your Tone" and adds grit to it. The Gain and the Level are connected, lots of volume level in there. The Tone control adds some really nice "Hair" on top if needed, its not boosting mids and cutting low end like most tone controls....Don't worry about these vids, their tone is not good and this pedal will not fix it! Crap in crap out, Awesome in Awesome out, seriously get it! ;)
@@theWARMJET No, not better, but certainly good for the price point.Mooer specialize in affordable copies, and they often do a solid job; some do use them by choice, like with the Trelicopter or Yellow Fall. Peace , and good luck.
chords! blues & rock instruments are mostly to provide the musical background for the vocals, with occasional solo melodies that incorporate into, and support the song. With polyphonic instruments, that means chords. So it would be nice to hear demonstrations that show what all the device can do, more than what the player doing the demo can show-off what they can do. Just a thought. :-)
Great demo, Good sounding pedal but for 20-30 more bux, Wilson Effects (the "black tooth gain" I think its called) to my ears hands down makes the best old M Bluesbreaker pedal. That Wilson is my "leave on all the time pedal"....makes anything and everything still sound like itself but better....was paranoid enuf to lose it or have it break I had Wilson Effects make me 2! When I ordered it I had zero expectations but after owning it, I literally can't live without it. Whatever sound you have and you are happy with it just makes more of that. I did ask Wilson via email why their copy sounded so much better than other ones I had tried and the answer that I received was that they were using the Burr Brown IC in their version of the pedal.... take that for what it's worth, I'm just passing the information along, but I am absolutely convinced I can hear the difference.
Nice playing! The Blues Crab has been my "secret weapon" for about 3 years now. I rarely turn it off.
Please tell me you are using it with an LP or at least humbuckers.

Because Marshall + Les Paul = heaven.

just got one of these, sounds like my old blues breaker.
Nice replacement for the Morning Glory; can def hear that BB happening in there.Gotta love Mooer...most of the time, anyway.
do you think this one is better than the JHS?

I use this pedal all the time. Just makes everything sound better!
Wish you would demo with humbucker AND single coil pickups.
Ik, I'd be playing a strat with this anyway
Really good demo!
it's an original bluesbreaker clone..amazing..

Can you run the blues crab on 18v?
No. And why would you? It has a lot of headroom, output and brightness.
Yes, I do. Far more better and dynamic than 9v

Nice pedal but too gainy to be compared to the old Marshall Bluesbreaker
This mooer is truer to the original
Go fuck yourself, ya Fuckin scam artist
Cool.
No reference bypass, Amp sounds weak and thin...bah, why bother? This pedal sounds great, your review is junk
