I know this is a ways out from when this episode aired, but on page 25 of the main rules, about combat round 7+, it says that creatures lose movement based interrupts, of which parrying, which involves moving one's weapon to intercept, would count, as the fight has drug on too long and the creature has become tired. Armor based, however, remain in effect.
20:10 You lost the scroll, but if you continue to have your IU fun, you'll roll at least once on SCT1 instead of just 2xPOT1 and POT2... 52:57 Guard's interrupt cancels out your potion of strength for this turn, so it's D6 + 1, not 2. Stlll, with that damage roll you'd kill her. 54:34 It's D6 - 2 thanks to chugging potion of strength at the start of combat
It's pretty well designed but has a little too much bookkeeping for my tastes. The combat is good on one hand that the fatigue die increasing shift ensures battles don't last long...however I think the insistence of having primary and secondary dice overcomplicates it a bit. A pared down version would be more my thing
Nice to see the TH-camrs are using the character sheet I (Kevin in the FB group) modded for more lock up space, Paul Dee is using it too, pack rats we all are.
Hi and many thanks for the comment! I don't think the Apothecary hit with the "Gas Cloud" manoeuvre during the fight. I did check the video... do you have a video time where it happened, in case I am missing it? 😁
Loving the actual play! Sub'd! I was wondering, could you have taken the Crazed Preacher's robs (Cloth) and placed them on the alter as an offering? "Nevazator, I offer you the cloth off the back of a slain follower, who no longer needs it."
Great playthrough, just waiting for mine to arrive 😊 Great idea about keeping the empty potion bottle. I think when fighting the apothecary, you might have missed his special (miss next fight round) but dont think it mattered, question regarding the short corridor, does it not automatically have an arch exit, with the dice roll for any additional exits ? Waiting for part 3 😂
Thank you! Its quite possible that I missed a few things. I tend to spot them during editing, but every now and again an error sneaks through!! IIRC corridor ends can be closed off or left open at the player's choice. Will check 😉
Many thanks!! Ummm possibly on the wrong maneuvre. I tried to select the most beneficial result both for myself and the enemy but a mistake might have happened. Will check 😁
Great videos. They do a good job at explaining the flow of the game which for me is a great help when learning new games. One thing, though. Shouldn't the scroll have cost you your first attack? ;-)
Just checked, and yes, reading the scroll should have made the enemy go first. One of the few situations where the enemy would act first in the turn. Well spotted and many thanks for watching!! 😁
Again, an excellent video of your dwarf barbarian aka Bjorn the untested. A comment I have is that you haven't been checking door type and whether a lock is on the door! If this being ignored for the sake of expediency then well OK I guess. Otherwise, you know. :)
Prime Attacks have to be a natural 6:6, no shifting allowed... nice try!!😁 I remembered about the extra potion bottles during editing and have added them to my hoard, I have pouches and bottle galore!! 😎
The title is forboding Scott! Level 1 is probably one of the hardest levels by the way...watchin this now ;-)
I dunno, looking at some of the Lvl 2 Enemies, Lvl 1 should... technically... be easier!! hahaha
Lol I also switch out my dice when they're not cooperating with me! I love watching this game being played. Thanks for the video!
You are most welcome!! 😁
Thank you for the best solo-RPG playthroughs. I'm can get feel of the game only with your videos.
Many thanks for the kind words!! 🥰
Brilliant! Thanks for clarifying that you can only make one offering per location - I wasn't sure about that rule.
Glad it was helpful!

Hi and yes, there were some times I forgot that rule, other times I deemed certain Interrupts to not be Movement based. We all learn together!! 😁
Very thorough as always Scott The dice gods even gave you a day off, well slightly.
hahaha Don't worry, the Dice Gods are just waiting for a more opportune time!! 😁

how to enjoy Excel. I never could take these games seriously,
but I seriously admire the energy spent designing them and playing through them.

Love this hope to see more on your channel!
Many thanks!!
Another entertaining video im looking forward to episode 3.
Many thanks!! Planning to record Part 3 tomorrow... with new dice!! 😁
When apothecary hit you with gas cloud, you would have not been able to attack him next turn.

37:00 Master gave Doby a sock! El Oh El
@@risusrules 🤣
That would be a good idea :-)
I’m just starting my first level and I’m having fun. My main highlight is finding a chest with a couple of carrots and a beetroot. 😊
🤣 Name your character 'Baldrick' and he'll be happy with that loot!!
Great playthrough, just waiting for mine to arrive 😊

nah he neutralized that power with the scroll!
Great video. When fighting the apothecary, wasn't it possible to use the shift to make your 4/3 a 5/2...to avoid the block and get the D6 + 1 damage ?

Great tutorial
Many thanks!!
I'm sold! I am def buying this game!
Enjoy!

this is such a brutal early game😮
my dice were much more cooperative thru level 1 🎲
props for navigating this gauntlet successfully!
Yeah... I have a certain relationship with the Dice Gods... Many thanks for watching!! 😁

Oops. Sorry watching the rest of the video I noted you took care of the doors.
Cheers!! Dwarf Barbarian? That is a 15mm Viking Beserker from Essex Miniatures!! Maybe its the camera angle, or my crappy painting hahaha 😁
Shouldn't room 4 only have 2 exits as you rolled a 5... The door you went through is 1 exit... Or is it add 2 more exits...
You don't count the entrance to the room, so if you roll for 2 exits, technically its three if you include the way you entered. 😀
QQ: can you not use shift to get to 6:6 for a prime attack?
Also don’t forget the potion bottles for healing and strength

To be honnest I was fearing far more turn pages than there is. So i give crezdit where credits are due.Usual KA presentation.
Cheers!! 🥰
