Seems like it. I’m pretty sure my snoring is from my tongue. I’ve recorded myself snoring and it sounds just like the one on here with the tongue. Plus, I’ve woken up feeling like my tongue is going down my throat. No way I’d get surgery though. I’ll look for other ways.

I guess that's a way to look at it, but the obstruction is really causing resistance when breathing because your lungs will be working harder. If it doesn't interrupt your sleep, the energy loss would be negligible and ultimately not noticeable. However, snoring may result from the same problems that cause apnea, and apnea will leave you feeling very drained.
