This vid really gave me some inspiration Daniel. My path will be somewhat similar to yours. I'm a bit older than you at 59. I'll be moving from metro Atlanta in about a year, where I've lived for almost 20 years with my late wife. I met someone about a year ago and am now getting married again. She lives in the North Georgia mountains in an area that also has no rules or regs. I'll be leaving a career in building engineering I've been at for 30 years and doing what I love. Wood working. I also want chickens. HA The COVID years really opened my eyes man. Our lives aren't forever, so we better get to living.

Daniel…..wow your story is soooo similar to mine… pandemic driving me nuts lost most of my business ( a bounce house rental co ) my dad passed away the year before the plandemic and he had planed on having a wood working shop for his retirement fun and never got to.So i got a lathe off craigs list and taught myself to turn. Then got into resin and cool cutting boards and what ever my mind could dream up. Started doing craft fairs saved every dime I made as I was working out of a 8x8 plastic shed with an extension cord! And am finally almost done building my dream shop 630 sqr ft so I can start making furniture and bigger fun stuff. And ya tell your wife she is a rock star for wrangling that snake! Where we live also in the country inSan Diego we have rattle snakes! My wife is the first one to grab the shovel and take care of business! Lol and I totally love your geese…..thank you for sharing

Oh by the way I got a pitch to throw you , deck rails well everybody decorates them for the holidays right well I came up with one you’ll like anyway it’s my proto type I’m working on in shop I’ll send ya a picture but it’s not complete yet but I haven’t seen anything out there like it
Dang won’t let me send pick but I can describe it and you can make it if you like I’m sure they gonna fly use 1x6 either pine or cedar 8 to 10 in long 21/2 in to 3 from bottom center going up draw a line then go 45 degrees to corners so it looks like an upside down flag put a star or 1776 cut out of scrap wood in center on the top of the board put a 2x4 or 6 depending on rail size then and a board on the back side and in middle use holesaw big enough for can or bottle you can use whatever make it fit a bottle or can you get the jest it’s like a cup holder for car but for porches
Hey, Daniel, that bandsaw jig is pretty clever. Your laser cutter is an S1 from Xtool, right? If you're going to make a ton of those lamps you might be able to cut the bases and tops of those with the laser cutter and streamline your process a bit. You could also have the laser cut those vertical strips with a nice profile on the outside. You could also just engrave a design on each of those slats as another alternative to glow it up. Guess I need to get off my butt and order a laser cutter. Had a thought on the bandsaw jig. You could have multiple slots for the saw blade and one center pin so you can use it for circles of different sizes. Probably the better option would be to have multiple holes in a row and have the metal pin on the circle that turns the work instead of on the main board. Thanks for another inspirational video!
My wife will tackle small snakes, but we sometimes get one a bit bigger - the biggest so far was over 2 metres long and fat enough that you couldn’t get both hands around it. Luckily they tend to be more afraid of us than we are of them and they slither away . . . but I often wonder where they go to and when/if they might come back. Luckily “our” big snakes are not poisonous, nor really aggressive, so we just kind of live with them.
Love it! Why not get a cheap transformer and run a 12v light? Brighter and in my opinion nicer. The wire doesn’t need to be deep, even in the snowy areas.
Just want to throw this out there, youd be perfect for an Aquaman sequel, it would be about you and the origin of norse gods, youd be Aquamans Jason Mamoas long lost lineage, it would be great.
Damn brother! Just WOW 😯 Great video and worth the wait! Awesome new ideas and great editing!!! But we must be on a similar wavelength or something crazy like that. I stopped editing my first video to watch this, and some beach you're telling a story like me! 😂 Hope nobody thinks I'm a copycat 🥴

Enjoyed most of it as I didn’t know your growth. Good on you. I will say that your going have an issue selling the last project in most settings unless maybe video or personal and not a trade show. Still love the idea and concept. Just harder to make people watch a video that don’t normally do it. I understand that I do as I am commenting and subscribed. Just harder
Thanks for the great Video! I was in a slump but just started back with wood working. I work from a small shed & my table saw is outdoors. Building a deck with a roof beside the shed for it. I hope to get a house soon with a garage. see you in the chats
Where are you located? I see cabbage palms, and I guess Florida, but I see other stuff that makes me not sure. Just curious. Im a full time wood worker, I live near Ridge Manor Fl. I have 12 acres on the Withlacoochie river surrounded by woods. No HOA's out here! but my shop and a lot of my clients are in Tampa. I build a lot of things, but solid wood custom entry doors have kept me very busy the last half decade or so. Cant wait to bring my entire operation out here where I live. Just found your channel. Really enjoying it.
I'd say it entirely depends on the snake. Might not want to touch it if I think it's going to send me to the hospital or worse. And same if I can't tell what kind it is. lol

I unfortunately live in a crappy hoa. So I am very jealous of your homestead 😛😛. Thanks for all the videos that you do, they are the best.

But I also thought for the center where the star is put an earth magnet and change up centers for any holiday you cam sell them every season
Great video
Thank you
Hey, Daniel, that bandsaw jig is pretty clever.
Thanks for comment and for the tips as well
My wife will tackle small snakes, but we sometimes get one a bit bigger - the biggest so far was over 2 metres long and fat enough that you couldn’t get both hands around it. Luckily they tend to be more afraid of us than we are of them and they slither away . . . but I often wonder where they go to and when/if they might come back.
Luckily “our” big snakes are not poisonous, nor really aggressive, so we just kind of live with them.
We love our snakes but now we have chickens so gotta be careful
Love it! Why not get a cheap transformer and run a 12v light? Brighter and in my opinion nicer. The wire doesn’t need to be deep, even in the snowy areas.
Hey I appreciate ya. Thanks for tuning in and that’s a great tip !!!
Just want to throw this out there, youd be perfect for an Aquaman sequel, it would be about you and the origin of norse gods, youd be Aquamans Jason Mamoas long lost lineage, it would be great.
🤣 thanks man hell I’d be down to do the sequel
Damn brother! Just WOW 😯 Great video and worth the wait!
Awesome new ideas and great editing!!!
But we must be on a similar wavelength or something crazy like that. I stopped editing my first video to watch this, and some beach you're telling a story like me! 😂 Hope nobody thinks I'm a copycat 🥴
No body will brother ! Although 2 stories can be alike they can’t be a copy cat ‘ I’m patiently waiting on your success ! As I can say with certainty it’s wel on the way ‘ now edit that damn video !! lol Skål 🍻
It’s gotta meet goose approval!
😂 yep
Enjoyed most of it as I didn’t know your growth. Good on you. I will say that your going have an issue selling the last project in most settings unless maybe video or personal and not a trade show. Still love the idea and concept. Just harder to make people watch a video that don’t normally do it. I understand that I do as I am commenting and subscribed. Just harder
Thank you brother ! I love your honesty everytime you comment. Much needed ! God bless
Ok… maybe I’m tripping. Is this the same Daniel from sc?
My wife won't even pick up a stinkbug with a paper towel. The black snakes in the chicken coop are a definite 'no.'
😂
Ho who 😂😂😂😂 dirt roads an dreams 😊
Thanks for the great Video! I was in a slump but just started back with wood working. I work from a small shed & my table saw is outdoors. Building a deck with a roof beside the shed for it. I hope to get a house soon with a garage. see you in the chats
Hey man , it’s my pleasure. Happy to hear this , chat soon my friend
Snake? not on this planet in this life time. 😁
😂
I'm lucky enough that I don't have to deal with an hoa, but building permit requirements are almost as bad.
Yeah , county ain’t so bad where I’m located
Where are you located? I see cabbage palms, and I guess Florida, but I see other stuff that makes me not sure. Just curious. Im a full time wood worker, I live near Ridge Manor Fl. I have 12 acres on the Withlacoochie river surrounded by woods. No HOA's out here! but my shop and a lot of my clients are in Tampa.
I build a lot of things, but solid wood custom entry doors have kept me very busy the last half decade or so.
Cant wait to bring my entire operation out here where I live.
Just found your channel. Really enjoying it.
SC Charleston
Happy to have ya along for the journey, glad ya found me
@@Bearded-Viking-WoodWorks Thank you! Congrats on your channel!
Yeah, the wife wouldn't be grabbing the snake lol
I am the significant other and...heck no! No thank you. Your wife is a champ. Congrats on your first YT year.
Thank you so very much ! I’m with ya on the “heck no “ 😂
Hell NO he wouldn’t! And that’s a NO from me as well! Your wife is a beast for that one bubs!
🤣 yeah she is tough. Love her to death. Thanks for the feedback
I'd say it entirely depends on the snake. Might not want to touch it if I think it's going to send me to the hospital or worse. And same if I can't tell what kind it is. lol
😂 haha
Your wife is braver than me because I wouldn’t have grabbed that snake 😂
Hahaha right !!!
